I sometimes found it difficult to find what I wanted on the site as far as classes. I'm getting out now because I just haven't been using the program. What really upset me is that you don't give a warning that the subscription is coming up for a renewal. For me a 6 month subscription with a notice sent out when the renewal comes due would be optimal. I did not get the value out of the program that I was hoping for. It takes a lot of time to find a teacher that is zeroing in on the skills I really wanted without repeating basics.

My experience was great because I didn't think I could get free access to that amount of knowledge. I leant so much, the teachers were very honest, practical and helpful. I didn't want access the classes to end, but it had to. I hope if be able to afford to pay for access again. Thank you for doing such great work in Skillshare!

For the first time I actually understand what I’m watching and and how to apply that to my actual work. The content is engaging and not boring.

I’ve been a paying Skillshare member since 2019, so I was initially quite frustrated after trying to redeem a “Member exclusive” promotion that later turned out to be restricted to new subscribers only — something that was not clearly communicated in the main promotional banner itself.
As someone working professionally in branding and communications, I genuinely believe the wording could be improved to avoid confusion for long-standing members.
That said, after escalating the issue, the support team handled the situation professionally and respectfully. Both Whetney and Gina took the time to review the case properly instead of simply repeating policy responses, and Skillshare ultimately offered a fair retention solution which I appreciated.
So while the initial experience was disappointing, I do want to recognise the quality of the human support once the matter reached the right team.
My main recommendation would be greater transparency in promotional messaging and more visible loyalty incentives for existing subscribers.

Great options to explore and engage in all sorts of creative levels, types, and styles of creative exploration.
I've been with Skillshare in the past already, then dues to lack of time dropped out, but always had a feeling I'm missing out. So I return and I'm happy I did so - even more to choose from, better and better teachers, sessions and interaction. Love it. Glad to be back.
