SCAM SCAM do not do!!!! I ordered the sample in Feb $4.95 supposedly. I did not see anywhere to call with 7days. I didn't like the choclate fine. No problem. Today I happen to look at my bank statement, I was charged 3/24 $34.99 and then 4/12 $39.94 I called today spoke to a VEAN. I was advised because I didn't called to cancel in 7 days they charged me the full price. Then the enrolled me in a monthly subscription. I told her I have not opened this bag of chocolates and would like to know how to send them back. Vean says I cannot send them back, cannot have a full refund but she will send me back 30%. I am very frustrated and disappointed with this company. I am going to file a complaint with the better business bureau. This is pathetic after I express my concerned repeatedly she suggested sending me another flavor. DISGUSTED! I hope someone puts a stop to them

My experience with Skinny Chocolate
I placed an order on 4/1/21 and today is 4/14/21. I have been waiting for the free chocolates and some chocolate birthday bars still. This company uses DHL as a courier and DHL doesn't deliver to you, it delivers to the postal service. The tracking number I received always seem as if it was non-existence... they never seemed to know where the item was and that is not the first time. I have had other venders use DHL as a courier and they do the same thing. However this is not the couriers fault it is Skinny Chocolate. I called today 4/14 and was told only today that there is a back order on the birthday chocolate part of the order and that the chocolate will be shipped tomorrow. I placed the order on the 1st of April and it will be sent on the 15th of April???!!! I got no email alert of a backorder and no email alert on the status of the free chocolate. I am not happy with this company I wouldn't bother ordering this chocolate no matter how good others say it is. I AM however, very disappointed that this occurred. I would have like to been a customer. Promoting small business but if the business doesn't have themselves together they will soon be out of business.

I signed up for "free" sample and the chocolate is good, but I was charged another 29.99 two weeks later. Apparently, in the tiny fine print is a subscription service. I had emailed customer service twice and got no response. I finally called today and got a foreign person named "Liza" who first said she could only refund me 30% of the $29.99. I said, NO WAY! She left and came back and said she canceled my subscription (that I didn't order) and refunded my $29.99. I doubt seriously I will see that money again. If I do, I will update.
4/22/21—I am shocked and happy to say my refund has come thru and I haven’t seen sign of anymore automatic orders coming thru!!!

THIS IS A SCAM! DO NOT ACCEPT THE FREE TRIAL! When you do, you are automatically enrolled in a "subscription" plan and you don't realize it until you receive a shipment which has been charged to your credit card. When you call to cancel your subscription and return the product, they cancel the subscription but will not accept returns " because of Covid." TOTAL RIP OFF. If the product was good, I might actually have placed another order, but now I will do everything I can to make sure that ho one else gets caught in this trap!
UPDATE: I was asked by Trustpilot if I wanted to contact SkinnyMe directly and let them know why I posted a negative review and this was my response (which bounced back because it was a "no reply" email address):
"Dear Trustpilot, I do not want to respond directly to SkinnyMe. There are dozens of reviews just like mine on your site and I think the company must have gotten the message by now about exactly what changes they need to make.
When I was told by their customer service agent that they would not accept my return of the product, or refund my money for an order I did not place, I complained loudly and threatened to post more reviews like the one here on Trustpilot if they did not give me a refund.
They did eventually refund my cc account, and I did not post any other negative reviews elsewhere. However, my review seems to be in absolute agreement with dozens of others on your site, almost verbatim, and I have decided to leave my review here to hopefully protect others from getting caught in their scam.
If they truly want to make changes, they need to stop the entrapment hidden in their "free" offer and, if their chocolate is as great as they say it is, the word will spread and, it will sell itself. I hope they will come to their senses and change their ways, and I wish them well.

Too bad there is no way to give zero stars. The chocolate tastes good but they refuse to let you cancel. I have received so many bags that are full of melted chocolates and just a mess. I have contacted them several times and I keep getting bags. THEY WILL NOT STOP SENDING CHOCOLATES. At $40 a bag of melted chocolates this is ridiculous.

I wish that I had read the reviews here before even visiting their page. I selected something to try but did not complete the order. I received the product anyway and I did not realize that it was a subscription service so I did not cancel because I didn't know I had submitted a subscription. I never received emails telling me to expect shipment. When I called to return the second shipment I was told that I had turned off notifications for emails and they did not recommend returning the product. I was also only credited for $10.50 for my inconvenience. Please don't consider trying the chocolates unless you want to pay a high price for your chocolates because that is what you will be doing.
The flavor profile isn't worth the $40 price tag per bag of 30 chocolates.

Not only is the marketing a scam that shouldn't be legal (assuming it is), the chocolate taste is sub-par and, in my case, it soured my stomach so much that I actually threw the remainder of the bag in the trash. Wish there was a way to give it negative stars.

They'll trick you with a free bag of chocolates. You'll have to pay a shipping charge of $5.95.
If you don't cancel your order within seven days. This company will charge you the full price of the chocolates. That is $34.95.
I am out almost $40.00 for an average tasting chocolate.
If you like to waste your money this is a good company to do it with.

I have to add my own experience to that of others here. This product is overpriced to begin with, but God help you if you wait too long to cancel your subscription. You end up being charged $34.99 and basically all you have to show for it is one bag of chocolate. If you call Customer Service, they will not make good on it. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! They also appear to go by different names--Skinny Me Chocolate and Skinny Now Chocolate. Whom are we dealing with anyway? DON'T BUY.
Bad Business Practice
I am not one for writing bad reviews, but what I experienced was bad business practice. The order was placed on January 24, however what was not clear was that the trial period ends 7 days after that, not 7 days after you receive the product. So, on Feb 5th they charge my credit card when I still have not received the product! This is not the way to win customers with a new product launch.
