Order 2 hours in advance and forget the "ETA"

The majority of my orders with Skip arrive about 60 minutes after the expected ETA range (e.g. if the range is 30-45min, I'll receive the order 1hr 45 min or later after ordering). The order status doesn't show you the true ETA, resulting in you looking at a screen that says "[Driver] is on the way to the restaurant" or "[Driver] has picked up your order" for impossibly long periods of time, up to an hour, while the ETA on the screen only varies by +/- 1 minute the whole time (e.g. 16/17 minutes til arrival for over an hour). Support team is helpless to resolve these issues, I'm sure that the product's flaws keep them mighty busy. Sometimes I would at least get a credit of $10-20 on my $60-80 order if I waited that long and received a lukewarm meal, but lately they cap it at $5 even if it was not only super later but included incorrect items. I used Skip because I don't want to give Uber or Doordash my money... but this week I finally deleted the app.

I ordered for seriously chicken burger and received double big mac I asked SkipTheDishes as i ordered through them the lady Charlene.S said they don’t refund after a long hold in the chat after I sent pictures of burger I received. I asked Mac Donald’s they didn’t do either so my money went through the drain and I’m still hungry at the end

Just like every other person reviewing Skip type dishes, i have had the same experience. Never delivered the food, they contacted me, i explained the situation, the said I would get a full refund. They even sent me a confirmation that they sent it. NEVER received! Have tried unsuccessfully to contact them. They are hiding

Skip the Dishes drivers steal food, customer service is horrible

I ordered from Skip the Dishes about 15 times now twice food has been missing. I contacted customer service and they say my account has been "flagged" because I had complained once before and they would not give me a refund. They stole from me and I am flagged? I often order from this restaurant( not through skip)and they never shorted me food. I called and the restaurant says they had included it. The first time they did this, they had removed the shrimp from my shrimp salad. It was clear that shrimp had been there and had been removed. All the toppings were not in the center area, where the restaurant usually puts it. And they left the tail shells on my salad! This time they shorted me a blizzard. I always tip 15 to 20%, so it's really upsetting that these drivers are stealing from people who tip them. They are moraless thieves. They often put the order at my neighbor's house even though, I always say where I live clearly in the directions. So if you want your food stolen and for customer service to treat you subhuman order from skip.

Skip SkipTheDishes!!!

After waiting over 1 hour and 15 minutes for our dinner. I contacted SkipTheDishes by chat. They apologized and then proceeded on calling the restaurant (so they say) and informed me I should cancel my order and order somewhere else!!! The agent offered me a $5 consolation rebate on my next order. Original order was $55. HOW GENEROUS!!! LOL!!! Oh! And SkipTheDishesButNeverGetYourOrder just issued a refund to my credit card that will take 5 to 7 business day. Or is it the delivery time for the pizza? 😡

I then called the restaurant directly and they answered right away. I explained the frustrating situation and they did put a SPECIAL RUSH on my food order!

My pizzas were there within 20 minutes.

It’s double pizza in Montréal. I suggest to order directly from them. 😀

Can I give zero stars

Can I give zero stars? That would be preferable.

I ordered a late night meal from 7-11. I literally watched the order on my tracker. Then randomly the tracker stopped working and there was a “call” from the restaurant.

It didn’t ring on my phone, hung up. I tried to call back and it went to voice message and it was the SkipTheDishes phone number????

So Skip the Dishes charged me $50 & canceled my order due to me apparently being “unreachable” while I sat here on my phone

Unbelievable. Never ever again. Oh and I have screenshots of everything but I’m unable to post here.

driver gave me and my 7 year old the middle finger

My daughter asked for McDonalds so at 7:06 I ordered it. She asked if she could use her money to tip him and I said that would be nice. So she sat in front of the window for 45 minutes waiting for her food. I told her to make sure she said thanks for braving the heat when she gave the person a tip. Then I get a text saying “thanks for the tip”. Confused I went to the front door and nothing was there. Checked my app and it said food was delivered. Checked outside again and he was walking up to my door. I asked if he text me that and he said yes. I explained how my daughter would like to give him the money and that it was rude to text someone when he hadn’t even dropped the food yet. He laughed at us and said most people tip on the app. I said that’s fine but she wanted to give him her money and that it was ignorant of him to assume he wasn’t getting a tip. I tip on every order. Always. Then he proceeded to berate me for not tipping and got in his car. As he got in her gave us the middle finger, rolled down his window and shouted profanities at us. All the while my 7 year old is holding money in her hand… I messaged skip to tell them and they ended the chat after saying they will “look into the matter”

The drivers are great. Customer Service/restaurants terrible.

The drivers are great! The customer service is terrible. We ordered McDonalds one morning for the kids with no meat on the breakfast sandwiches and they both arrived with meat. It was funny because right on the packaging that they wrapped the sandwich in clearly read "no sausage". No big deal, maybe a foggy morning for the workers? The next morning we try again but from Tim Hortons, once again all the sandwiches arrived with meat on them. Now we chat with support who offered a 50% refund. 50% when every item was not edible or drinkable. The entire order was wrong. After taking multiple pictures and arguing for over 20 minutes asking to speak with someone else 3 times, he finally says he will refund the sandwiches but only 50% for the coffees lol A power tripper in my opinion.
We will never order with them again. Shame for them with a family of 4, that's not cheap money spent on meals.

Not once but multiple times the idiot…

Not once but multiple times the idiot drivers didn't deliver my order and said they did. So they either stole the food and said they ordered it or did so at the wrong place. The fact these morons can't even use GPS is mind boggling as this is their only job. Don't use skip the dishes and go to the website of restaurants as well. Skip the dishes takes lots of money off and their drivers are so stupid they can't grasp a device that tells them where to go.

Skip the dishes customer service and drivers

Skip the dishes customer service and driver etiquette are going downhill fast. We have had issues with our last several orders. Cold items as the driver picked up our food then stopped to fuel up! Last night our order was picked up then the driver drove around for 15 minutes in the opposite direction of where we live, spoke with customer service, they assigned a new driver stating the other driver "seems lost" our food arrived cold and disgusting-went in the garbage and we had to eat elsewhere. Skip will only refund 50% of your order! We were using this service to help others keep working and make some sort of living-the drivers are not even using the insulated bag when delivering!!!!! During a pandemic, the way they treat the food is appalling, will NEVER use them again.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. The chat is useless, they send pre-formatted msgs that sometimes don't even relate to what you're talking about. My account was hacked and they did nothing. Told me a supervisor would contact me... they never did. I can't find a number to contact them anywhere. Totally useless, they don't care at all.

Terrible

Terrible. Just had food missing for several hours and they still aren't able to get a hold of the driver. 2nd time it's happened! Don't use this service if you actually want to get your food.

The WORST CS team there ever was

The CS team at Skip The Dishes is the worst I have ever experienced. Time and time again, they suck. They’re slow, they’re unresponsive, they lack clarity. A total lack of empathy and no effort put in to create a positive experience.

They leave the chat without resolving your issue. They don’t help. I can’t handle it... unbelievable.

They suck so bad that we are never going to be using the platform any more. There’s a lot of services doing what they do, with better support people.

Twice in one day

I ordered breakfast, it failed to arrive, they tried to insist that it had arrived, it hadn't. After a bunch of corporate speak apologies they offered a refund, as though it was somehow unexpected it would be refunded. I asked to have my account deleted.

That evening, my girlfriend ordered dinner with her app. The EXACT same thing occurred. No desire to rectify the situation, just "we are sure it was delivered" "would you like 20 cents in points?". Absolutely atrocious customer service. I can't believe how hard it is for these people to use GPS. The fact they refused to go correct the order speaks volumes.

Regardless that's two customers with over 500 orders in the last few years combined, gone in one day. Nice work guys.

They stole $27 from me

I'm changing my review because it's the second time I don't receive my order. This time they did not provide any form of help, no reimbursement and they never apologized.
Well, I guess it's time to delete the app just like I did for Doordash.

I had $5 remaining on my account

I had $5 remaining on my account with skipthedishes, my account was closed due to technical reasons or suspicious activity. I asked multiple times to clarify as to what exactly they mean by suspicious activity, and each and every time the associates said that they cannot/not allowed to tell me.

I did nothing wrong, I ordered from skipthedishes in the past for more than $1000 and was a customer for over 5 years, and one day the account started having issues. Online orders for food started getting cancelled seconds after charging my credit card for unknown reasons, I even changed my credit card, thinking maybe someone tried to use it somewhere without my authorization. Even with the new card, orders were being rejected AFTER they were charged.

I got tired trying to figure out what's going on, so I asked kindly to close my account.
I had $5 remaining as a credit from some time ago, which is MY money. Skipthedishes promised to refund the $5 to me credit card, confirmed by a chat that I saved on my computer. 1 month later, I still have not received the $5 back, my account is still active. I contacted skipthedishes yet again and this time, the associated told me that they cannot return the $5 credit.
