My order took forever to go through; they only do returns in “skip credits”, and their customer service is useless to the point of non-existence.
Horrible customer service. I accidentally did the order twice and when I tries to cancel one of them, there was nowhere to do that. The only option is a chat and it suggested cancelling the delivery b... See more

Didn’t deliver
Like I see several others posting below me, they never delivered our food. Not good when one has hungry young boys and the food doesn’t show up. After spending 45 minutes with customer support, they finally figured out the courier delivered it to the wrong address. As others have said, I would have given no stars, a zero, or negative stars rating if any of those options were available.
Worst service ever
Worst service ever, food rarely arrives, customer service is unreliable
I ordered food and it was never delivered
I ordered food and it was never received. The driver was tracked driving in a different direction in the tracker. Driver stated he broke down. Funny he was watched going the wrong way.
Delivery review
Although Skip and Door Dash are equally ugly in charging exorbitant fees during vulnerable times...Door D has been a ok from experience. Skip - NOT - completely useless -delivering my order somewhere else - no communication - had to spend considerable time to get money back for undelivered order - DD is the lesser of two evils.
If i wasn't physically disabled I would go direct. If you are able - do that - much better for the small business owners
Garbage service
Garbage service. Expect to be missing half of your order to receive an undervalued refund, literally every damn time. Would give negative star review if I could.
Very pathetic service
I'm in quarantine and have opted for contactless delivery. But the driver never showed up although it showed on the app that he is one minute away. I contacted their help chat and told them about the situation and asked them to tell him to either call me or come to the main entrance as sometimes these people say the call didn't get through but the guy never even showed up at the entrance. My apartment is on the ground floor and in front of the main entrance I stood in my balcony for 15 mins until it showed my order has been delivered and when I contacted the chat help again they said we can't do anything we did contact the driver and he said he could not get through to my mobile. When I asked why he never came to the main entrance they had no answer for that and said: "Oh we are outsourced and we can't help you anymore". I don't know how companies and people working in them can get away with such a pathetic service and still keep working
Drivers steal food
Drivers steal food, their chat within the app is unreliable. Skip the Dishes is a scam and the drivers are thieves
#FuckShipTheDishesInBC

One star is generous
One star is generous. Our order process started at 6pm, it’s now 8:21pm so I may as well have made a turkey dinner with all of the fixin’s as I expect to eat cold food and not eat with my family when I make a big dinner. When I order from Skip the Dishes I have very simple expectations. I expect that for $80 I can feed two kids and myself with no stress and that we can all sit TOGETHER and eat. We don’t have much of an entertainment/dining budget so we have used this site about four times. I actually considered stretching our budget and using this app as our way of supporting local businesses but never again. There has not been one experience with Skip that hasn’t truly messed up a meal. Tonight it was my son who didn’t get his food. Ok he got his food with a bunch of hot sauce spilled all over it so he couldn’t eat it. The first time we used it they didn’t bring my husband’s meal. And the two other times they were missing sides, cutlery and napkins. Honestly, for the money you are better off ordering from a really nice restaurant and picking it up yourself. This service Must pride itself on being useless.
Never received order
If I could rate 0 star, I would. Contactless delivery = deliver to nowhere? I walked around the whole community and couldn’t find my food. Contacted support and they’re like robots, sending templates instead of trying to hear you out. They ask you to wait 5-10 minutes while they try to contact the driver. I will definitely not eat anything that sits on the street somewhere unsupervised for 10 minutes. At the end, they said driver is unresponsive... and refunding me in full. Yeah, now I have to order with the restaurant directly and WAIT AGAIN. Terrible service!
absolutely atrocious
absolutely atrocious, ordered 2 times from different restaurants and both orders were wrong, customer service is basically nonexistent. what an absolute disgrace of a company
If I could give Skip the Dishes a 0 I…
If I could give Skip the Dishes a 0 I would. The customer services was disgusting. I was continually hung up on from their customer services team, they messed up two of my orders, wasted over an hour of my time and all that was offered to me was $2 in skip credits on my account. NEVER am I ordering from this service again. With so much option in the city and the way they treat their customers I hope they go out of business.
Ordered from skip and they changed the…Thiefing Company
Ordered from skip and they changed the unit number for the delivery .The food never came but Customer servicr rep called and say the unit number is incorrect and to reorder and when i did i had to pay an additional $12.00 after they gave a credit .This was strange since 2 hours earlier my daughter ordered from skip and the ordered came===Dumb A-- company that can only hire the worst people to execute there thiefing ways.WILL NEVER USE SKIP AGAIN
What a rip off
After two different orders and having missing, cold, and crushed food. I will never order from SkipTheDishes again. What a rip off.
Don't use, brutal support
Tried to use a promo code i was offered. Did not see it in my cart when i was checking out. Got zero support from the live chat person, who was extremely vague and not helpful. Waited about 3 minutes for them to give me a vague response and then another few minutes to repeat that response. Worst.
I am posting this to demonstrate that I…
I am posting this to demonstrate that I am committed to a class action legal suit against SkipTheDishes
To whom it may concern,
I can see from numerous reviews that a large number of customers are outraged by Skip's repugnant practices. Here are number of possibilities to mount a class action legal suit to take this company down.
As many of you mentioned in Skip reviews, if I could attribute them a "zero" star rating, I certainly would. My last experience with Skip was nothing short of extortion exacerbated with more than two hours of aggravation and wasting my time.
My order was placed at 20:45. Their courier picked it up from the restaurant at 21:10 but then, much to my stupefaction, drove to a completely different part of the city (approximately 40 minutes away from where I live).
I know that for a fact because I was following the driver using the Skip mobile App and, after a long time, the driver even called me (at 21:45...) to let me know that he had driven in the wrong direction. At that time, he was still 40 minutes from my condo in Cote-des-Neiges.
All along this insane saga, I tried to notify Skip that their driver was heading the wrong way, but I could not reach anyone by Chat, phone or E-mail. After a long time, I managed to reach a "customer service" employee by Chat.
Interestingly, as I was Chatting, with the customer service representative, the following E-mail surreptitiously found its way into my inbox at 21:55.
"Your order from Thanjai has been cancelled. This order will not be refunded because it was cancelled after (rather than before) the restaurant confirmed the order. Chat with us on the app if you have any questions."
Skip's policy is to never fully refund their customers under those circumstances (order cancelled after the restaurant confirmed the order), even when the customers did not receive any food! Their rationale for instigating this policy is blatantly obvious. Without this policy, they would be legally bound to fully reimburse all the customers who did not receive their food. The trouble is that their policy is not unassailable and can be readily challenged in court.
Importantly, I never cancelled my order and the driver never showed up to my door. In other words, the above E-mail was not sent to me in response to cancelling "my order on my own volition".
On the contrary, Skip deliberately cancelled my order, knowing full well that they would not refund anything at all because, according to their policy, they could always claim that they had "attempted" to deliver my order and the failure of the delivery was entirely my fault. There are gaping legal holes in Skip's arguments.
First, in most cases, they will not be able to prove in court that the driver indeed reached the door of the customer and genuinely attempted to deliver the food when he/she reached the customer. In my case, the driver never came anywhere near my apartment. I have compelling evidence that this is the case.
Based on countless reviews of Skip that I read online, the other argument that they often make is that they were not able to deliver the food because they could not reach the customer over the phone. However, there are many obvious strategies to invalidate a substantial portion of those fraudulent claims in court.
By Chat, I explained to two different customer service employees that it was outrageous to pay the entire cost of food that was never delivered to me. Not only is it outrageous, but I have incontrovertible evidence that proves, beyond any reasonable doubt, that I did everything I possibly could to ensure that the food would be delivered to my apartment.
These abhorrent practices have to stop. My solicitors have considerable legal expertise. If I receive enough requests from the community, I will seriously consider mounting a class action suit.
Best regards,
Alain
Never again will I use SkipTheDishes
I used SkipTheDishes yesterday for the first time. I’m trying to use local businesses during Covid-19. I placed an order and watched on my phone the tracking of the order. As I watched the gps showing my order getting closer I went to the door. I watched my phone saying delivery was happening but I saw the car pass my house. The car turned around and passed again. He was not going slow and couldn’t flag him down. For an hour and a half after I was messaging with SkipTheDishes. I was told that the driver made a delivery to a door step and rang the bell and left. Well it wasn’t my house because I was at the door waiting. They refused to refund me because said driver stated he made a delivery. I have no doubt he did. To the wrong house. They refused any further help and gave me an email address to reach out to. I did that with no response. I found an actual phone number online and called but never got anyone to actually answer. A whole lot of wasted time trying to just speak to someone. Plus no food and a large bill. Never again. Will never recommend.
STICK WITH UBER EATS
Me and my boyfriend ordered skip the dishes and he paid with his card. the order came, and he had ordered $50 worth of food, but only about $5-10 worth of food came, he was talking to the support and she was very rude and didn’t even refund him all the skip credits back. even in the past i ordered something off of skip the dishes and they cancelled my order when i had already paid for it, “because they didn’t have what i ordered” when in reality i would rather get something disgusting then have my money robbed like that. I would recommend sticking with uber eats. skip always screws up orders and sometimes even steal your money.
