My order took forever to go through; they only do returns in “skip credits”, and their customer service is useless to the point of non-existence.

Lost hundreds of dollars.

Lost hundreds of dollars as someone in a whole different province, on the other side of the country, was able to hack into my account. skip the dishes is absolutely useless and did nothing at all to help me. Do not put your credit card on this site!!

DO NOT USE SKIP THE DISHES!!!

DO NOT USE SKIP THE DISHES!!!! Yesterday my bank account was drained through Skip The Dishes by someone on Quebec. I am from Vancouver and don't know anybody in Quebec. Im livid with Skip The Dishes' loose security and inability to help with any of it. They did nothing to assist me other then tell me to "contact my financial institution". I have had to cancel my bank card, file a police report now and file a complaint against Skip The Dishes with the Better Business Bureau. Fortunately, I caught it in live time and have the persons address and phone number because they put it into my skip the dishes account but let this be a cautionary tale to never ever use this app. It is very insecure.

AVOID SKIP THE DISHES

AVOID SKIP THE DISHES

I ordered Food from Skip The Dishes and was advertised via Skip The Dishes App that the restaurant I choose was offering free delivery to MY address on orders over $20. My order was over $30 and i got charged $4.49 delivery fee anyways.

I contacted Skip the dishes via their app and talked to support for about an hour and they told me My address didn't qualify for free delivery, so I sent a screenshot of the app telling me free delivery. They then continued to tell me I don't qualify for free delivery as the restaurant "I chose" didn't offer free delivery but it was another location in the city. I continued to explain that I do not choose a restaurant as the app sent me an advertising that said "free delivery over $20" and when i click that ad the App picks the location based off my address.

Skip the Dishes support continued that the app would not show me free delivery if my address didn't qualify, I continued to tell them that the app DID indeed advertise to me free delivery and that it seems to be a software bug and me as the customer is paying for it? I sent them 3 or 4 screen shots of the app showing me FREE DELIVERY I then told them i was going to make a complaint to the BBB as false advertising was illegal.

(BTW their BBB {Better Business Bureau} rating is F"

THEN I was told I would receive a refund for the delivery charge and was asked "Do you want the Refund in skip credits or on your Original payment method?" I said to them that i would like my funds put back on my Original payment method as i may never use Skip the Dishes again until I feel i can trust their service.

The Following day I still did NOT receive a Refund So I contacted Skip The Dishes support AGAIN and told them I went through support for an hour already the previous day and was told I would receive a refund for my delivery charge and didn't. I was then told that the refund would be issued within 30 minutes.. I checked the app some time later and noticed I received the refund in "Skip Credits" when I Originally asked for my refund to be put back on my Credit Card.

I will NEVER use Skip the Dishes again and now they went against my will and Refunded me in "Skip Credits" after I told them I wanted it put back on my credit card as I WILL NEVER USE SKIP THE DISHES AGAIN. So They choose to Give me Skip Credits as a way to FORCE me to buy something on their platform after I told them I would not. IF I don't use their platform and spend more money that $4.49 will be theirs forever!!!! Isn't that boarder line extortion? At very least it's Theft.

OH BTW when I Received their phone number to actually talk to somebody via phone they put me on Hold for 20 Minutes until I finally just hung up.

AVOID with extreme prejudice

Horrible service. Shady business. Fraud company

Horrible service. Took my money from me and my food and didn’t not delivere it. They told me they require customers to be available via phone. How about you deliver to my address? But in their app they tell us to provide the correct address and meet them outside if possible. That’s exactly what I did. And didn’t see any delivery guy from skip. Never had any problems for my address but apparently this particular courier guy had some problems. Also according to heir customer care, he waited in the car for 15 minutes. How about you come down to the address? Are we paying to get our food to our address or to our phone. And funny thing the customer service lady said “ma’am we are here to deliver to you”. Haha. Absurd. They don’t know what they are doing. Fraud business going on. They just took my money. And didn’t provide any food. Didn’t even try to accommodate and provide resolution. I told them I don’t mind picking up. They said no. Wow. I’m just so upset. They’ve lost their business from me and my friends. Fraud company.

Thieves and Liars

Thieves and Liars. I would rate lower if I could.
My account got hacked. STD denies this but there were $600 in charges which my credit card company reimbursed me for. I also lost $80 in credit on my STD account which they won't renew. If they are denying they are hacked then my guess is they have a bunch of opportunistic criminals working for them that have full access to your account and CC info. They log in from behind the scenes, change your address, order what they want. All the fraud is taking place in Montreal according to Reddit and others i know that have been hacked. Their customer service is awful and they are thieves. Just avoid it.

GOT HACKED!!

My STD account just got hacked today. I live in the Kitchener Waterloo area in Ontario, but someone used my Skip account to place 5 different orders within 3 hours all to 5 different addresses in Montreal Quebec!!! I have removed my credit card from their app, and updated the password. Skip has no contact number, only email and chat support. I used their online chat service as I want a full refund for these orders that I did not place, but they just put in a ticket to a special investigations team who will investigate and contact me back within 24-48 hours. We shall see.

No Issues from Skip

Not sure about all the other reviewers but I have never had a problem using Skip. Granted I did not use them in a metropolitan area. My food always arrives hot, the drivers are friendly no problems really other than occasionally all skip deliveries are suspended due to lack of workforce and the website malfunctions periodically like changing our house number without our input. I also don't use the app. I have very little faith in app's in general, I know people are far too trusting of our fragile digital world and their cell phones for that matter. If you pay with credit card and suffer fraud, you have recourse. There is no recourse if you use debit for anything.

From Their T.V.

From Their T.V., Commercial with that Arrogant Doe Head, behaving as though, he is a legend in his own mind in his own home theatre with his own flunky in a costume acting as though his boss, the skip dishes actor, sitting alone in his set-prop bleachers, only to see himself on his screen T.V., continues to behave like a tyrant throughout this advertisement, should win an award for the absolute worst commercial ever created for television, bar none, it is hard to imagine how the owners of this firm could witness this catastrophic failure and then allow it to run as a representation of their company, completely unbelievable from my P.O.V., Point Of View. There is no doubt in my mind that only I and the rest of the world feel this way, can't wait for this garbage to be pulled from rotation, hopefully soon.

This company has so many incompetent…

This company has so many incompetent drivers. Often they don't even know how to read an address. GPS is so bad they park across the street or a block down the road then sit there for 10 minutes. Virtually no way to contact them to complain which means if your food doesn't arrive or you have any issues with the drivers, tough luck. A really terrible company with no redeeming qualities except that a lot of restaurants don't use delivery drivers any more so it's an option if you're desperate.

Their GPS systems it totally broken

Their GPS systems it totally broken. It's a common occurrence for the driver to be sent for 30 mins in the wrong direction. In the end you get delivered cold food 1 hour late and it ruins the evening chatting with someone on support.

Avoid this service unless it's the only option.

Missing Refund, Horrendous Support

I've had nothing but problems with Skip and I'm honestly not sure why I didn't delete the app months ago. Customer Support has always been awful. No help, no empathy, completely tone deaf responses. I also work in Customer Support and handle live chats and I would never handle interactions the way the Skip team does. It's appalling.

Aside from the lack of support, I am missing a refund that was issued on December 10th. My email was never answered. I ended up contacting my bank who said that the refund wasn't processed correctly on Skip's end, even though Skip is adamant that it was. I ended up filing a dispute with my bank and have filed a chargeback. When I mentioned this to the representative I spoke with last, they were of no help. I asked to speak with a manager and they completely ignored me, instead dismissing me and trying to end the chat. This company is awful. I was promised that a manager would reach out within 24-48 hours. Let's see if that actually happens...

Avoid Skip The Dishes in Welland Ontario - Failed to Deliver

Avoid Skip The Dishes. We live in Welland Ontario. Placed an order. Received an email driver on the way. We watched via their online tracking system, the delivery driver was parked literally around the corner from our house for 8 minutes then left. Skip The Dishes then disabled the tracking showing as if the order was delivered. These restaurants who work hard to achieve a good reputation could be ruined because of Skip The Dishes incompetence.

100% FRAUD ALERT.

Made an account here just so I can leave this review.

Skip the dishes care about 2 things, your money, and getting your food to you cold.

After my first purchase on my own card (2 days ago) I wake up to a text today about fraud activity and whether or not the purchase was made by me or not. I call my bank to find out someone tried making 4 separate purchases on my card between $90-$200+. Nothing like this have EVER happened to me until I put my card on skip the dishes, and one day later there are 4 fraud attempts.
Hacking is so very, very easy. We put our trust in the companies that hold our card info,
Skip The Dishes SAVES YOUR CCV NUMBER!!!!!!!!!!
This is why hackers can use your card on your account. Because your CCV is saved.
DO NOT EVER USE THIS APP.
Walk for your food, or pay a very, very expensive fee.

really sketchy

Ordered from skip and when the driver arrived with the food we paid him cash and he told us we would be getting a call to pick up our food and to make sure we didn’t answer it in case it stopped him from getting other deliveries but now whenever we try to order anything it automatically cancels it.. we tried talking to support but they give a very short response telling us they will be canceling our orders due to us not picking it up that night the guy told us not to answer the phone... I don’t know if he was scamming someone but they have some shady people working there.. wouldn’t recommend

used this for years with no problems--however, the last time we ordered from them we waited over 2 hours and never got our food. could see on the live map that the driver was en route to the restaurant, then went the opposite way and just stopped (we assume they went home). very disappointed (and hungry).
