I ordered hay from SPL on Friday 7/17 with paid shipping and my order didn’t get dropped off at UPS until Wednesday 7/22, even though I got an email that said it shipped Sunday 7/19. It’s supposed to arrive on Saturday 7/25, a week after ordering.
I ordered the same kind of hay from Chewy on Thursday 7/23 with free regular shipping and it arrived Saturday 7/25 before my hay from SPL! Something is wrong here.
When I inquired on the shipping with SPL on Tuesday of this same week I received information that is inconsistent with the shipping info on the website.
Update after company response: Although, I appreciate the transparency after the fact, I did bring this to SPLs attention on Tuesday 7/21 and received an AI automated response (it was signed “AI agent”) contradicting the shipping information on the website, as I previously stated. No one reached out to let me know this had been looked into and an error in shipping had occurred. I did just receive an email response as well saying thanks for photo evidence (I never sent, and why would I?) and that they were sending a “partial” replacement (not sure how that would work) but it was followed up with another email telling me to ignore the last email. Yeah, ok. How about just do better, please. With sincere communication from real people so your customers know their issues are being taken seriously for starters. Our furry family members count on your company! Thank you.

When I get the hay directly it is the freshest. And the prices are good.

I've recently ordered alfalfa, oat, and orchard hay. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality, smell of the hay especially the oat hay. My baby rabbit loves the alfalfa and my other two adult rabbits love the orchard and are now trying out the oat hay as a topper. The small gift from our first order was a pleasant surprise and has made its way into our rabbit room. Thank you! One more thing I have noticed is the packaging of the hay, it's nice that I can store the hay directly in the box it arrives in. In addition to the packaging, I also love the price for shipping, sometimes shipping can get expensive, especially depending on the pounds of the package, a $4.99 flat fee is awesome. So far I am happy with this company!! Thanks 🙏🏼

I purchased Hay, chewing sticks and a hanging toy for my guinea pigs and everything is great quality and it all showed up within a few (business) days of ordering.
I also thought it was very precious that they sent me a plaque with my piggies names on it, that was super sweet and a nice personal touch ive never had any other company do that.
I will be continuing to buy product from this company:)

The previous box of Timothy hay was near perfect. This last box, however, was more like first cut rather than second cut. It has more yellow stalks and seems much drier. I'll see if my bunnies will eat it. I had such high hopes after my previous 25 lb. box of 2nd cut hay.
On a positive note...Small Pet Select is very fast with delivery!

I enjoy buying from this company as they have good quality hay for rabbits, the subscription is convenient and flexible with date changes. As well as, when I had an issue with my delivery they were quick to respond and provided me with a brand new box of hay, which was reassuring after the delivery driver left it in the rain and I was worried about giving it to my rabbits. I will continue to purchase from this company.
