Excellent service

I had to use my home emergency cover for a pest infestation we had. Easy process

My boiler service was booked for me by Jim Matthew and he told me what to expect and the timescale. There was a slight hiccup when the boiler engineer mussed the first appointment but Jom Matthew sorted it out to my satisfaction.

Washing machine repair

I needed an engineer to look at my washing machine which wasn’t working well reclaim Handler Catherine Hayes is very helpful and made sure that the job was done. Washing machine is fine now and follow up to make sure I was happy was also completed.

Awful experience

Awful experience, they don't tell you when your boiler service is due (but you've been paying them all year for boiler cover!). You have to keep track yourself. You phone them to say your boiler service is due. They then take many weeks to arrange said service. But they don't keep you updated.
When my engineer appointment was finally arranged the engineer kept changing his arrival time, on the day. I work full-time & the last minute changes were hugely inconvenient. He then turned up 2 hrs earlier than he said after several changes. Turns out it wasn't the engineer himself that turned up but his mate. Also an engineer (so he said) but how am I supposed to know?! I complained to both engineers. The engineer who was supposed to come reacted extremely rude (implying that 2 hrs early is close enough to his ETA). I complained to Smart Cover but they didn't care. They said I'd received the boiler service I'd asked for. Their engineers' rudeness, their sheer lack of communication & the audacity of sending your mates doesn't bother Smart Cover. I shall never ever use them again.
