Problem sorted given 4 stars not 5 as the boiler is repaired today is a Tuesday and I reported the issue on Friday night with a message as no one replied and called again on Saturday morning I was told that an engineer will visit the tenants on Monday although was mentioned that they have 2 young children in a cold weather no heating or hot water, the tenant was called on Monday ti arrange an appointment that was given on Tuesday another day of delay don’t mention that the engineer was confused us with another customer saying that I have to pay for parts, the customer service solved the problem at the end thanks to Steve who answered the phone

My wife initially phoned your company, but was told you couldn't speak with her as the policy is in my name. While I was talking with your agent, I pointed out that the policy is, in fact, in both our names!
Although your man tried hard, I'm afraid I found it difficult to communicate with him due to his accent.
Hopefully, he has now put the claim in motion but as it is now Friday, he said nothing can be done until next week!!!! So the food in our fridge/freezer will deteriorate!

I normally only write reviews if things go wrong but in this case I felt I had to write this one. I was a customer of another well known insurer of domestic appliances but switched to Smartcover as the other insurer wanted £15 pm to cover my cooker. Smartcover have covered it for half that price. On the 12/1 the heating element went in my cooker, I put the claim in on the 13/1. Today the repair has been completed. The last time the same thing happened with the other insurer it was over 3 weeks to get my appliance repaired. I am absolutely astounded by the level of customer service I have received. If anyone is thinking about getting appliances insured with Smartcover, my advice would be to do it, you absolutely won’t regret it at all. The lady who dealt with it was called Katherine Hayes and she was amazing throughout. I’m still genuinely amazed how quick the repair was carried out. I can’t say it enough, these guys are the real deal. Great prices and customer service is second to none

Terrible service!! Purchased appliance insurance for peace of mind in the event of a breakdown. Now I've been 3 weeks without a washer. No repair & no solution. Customer service is terrible. Constantly told its under review & will be in contact asap. Do not waste your money on these insurers!!
