Why is it taking so long to book my repair? Someone called me today, asked for my address for “security”, had no idea I had moved and updated my address, then left the call without taking the address or telling me the reason for his call. I reported the breakdown of my tumble drier about 5 day ago now and still no repair booked. AND this isn’t the first time, I’ve claimed in the past and had to wait a ridiculous amount of time on a repair. Heading to Domestic and General who are far quicker and much more professional!

Absolutely useless. Have waited over 3 weeks on replacement washing machine. Everything takes too long to process. Paid for delivery & installation of new washing machine & removal of old machine to be told company wouldn’t disconnect my old washing machine and I would have to do it myself. Delivery hasn’t arrived when I was told it would be here. Waste of money and time with this company. If I’d have just gone to currys I would have had a new machine 3 weeks ago. Meanwhile I’m out pocket as I’m having to use a public laundrette at £11 a wash. Absolute shambles. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Katherine was amazing a credit to the company and only reason I’m giving 5 is because she was so helpful …. But I was charged for parts that were not fitted and this was confirmed by a second engineer on my recall repair and yet I was still not refunded …. This was not ok!
Problem was handled efficiently and quickly, I was kept informed at each stage of my claim by Katherine Hayes.

The agent that handeled our service call (Katherine Hayes) was attentive and continued to keep us updated as we needed a part to be sourced and then followed up with ensuring we had an engineer appoiintment done and that they attended and that we where satisfied with the work done.
We are very pleased with the service recieved. The tumble dryer is working fine.

As soon as I contact Smart Cover to repair my Washing Machine, I have been contacted by one of their Customer Service Katherine Hayes she handled my claim and updated me with the engineers visiting time and the replacement of my washing machine as it cannot be Repaired. I recommend Smart Sure Cover for their speed communication and decision.

All other interaction with the company was not as good so won't be renewing contract
Claimed for our washing machine which had broke down. The operator said they would get back to us with a repair engineer within 24 to 48H. Have had to phone them twice with limited success to be told that the claim was being considered by the underwriters. Meanwhile we have no washing machine - its this type of emergency that this type of insurance is meant to minimize. The staff I have spoken to have been useless. This is the first ever claim on our policy which covers all the white goods in our kitchen and I am less than impressed with the response and service. Needless to say I can't recommend this company and I won't be renewing my policy
I am very pleased with the quike response from the time my concern was received by Kevin Jones,arrranged by Jim Matthews and attended by gas engineer Sam.The response, attendance and service is second best to none.

Booked an appointment for my annual boiler service with Smart Cover n was easily booked and engineer was arranged. Engineer turned up on the appointed date and time and took 30-40 mins and the job was completed.

I contacted Smart Cover at 12 noon today to report that we had a blocked toilet. I stated that we had only one toilet in the house and that my wife and I are pensioners.
The operator insisted that we pay 3 months premiums in advance before taking our claim. We thus paid the additional money and told an engineer will call us when they are on there way.
Well it's nearly 11 o'clock at night and not a word from the company.
I've rang their 24/7 helpline on 03333449247 on numerous occasions and all we get is a recorded message saying that they are busy and leave a message. We we did leave many messages but still no one calls back.
We have paid our monthly premiums in good faith but have been so let down.
We don't have any family or friends nearby by to use their toilets.
What are we supposed to do?
Please can someone help us?

I was very pleased with the response after reporting a fault with my TV.
The claims handler, Katherine HAYES, arranged for a local technician, Paul, to contact me to discuss the fault and ultimately fix the problem. Katherine kept me updated and monitored progress.
I was impressed with the level of communication by Katherine and efficiency of the repair.

Con artists…. The worst ever company I have used the service is rubbish and staff so unprofessional, great way to answer the telephone (Hello) we have had no cooker working for 4 days now, firstly have to wait for approval then another waiting again for an engineer. Clear off Smart Cover go go domestic and General so much more professional, I have paid over £1200 for the last few years I have been with you. So £14.99 a month. And service has been awful. And to try and make a complaint is having a fight. This company should be investigated and closed down. Messing around with people’s money ( promise after promise but don’t deliver.
Quick service and made sure to keep me updated regularly. This was thanks to Katherine Hayes.
