There are better formation companies out there.
No option to add middle names which caused some issues further down the line. Communication is woeful. You wait at least 24 hours for a reply and then get 2 or 3 which sometimes give conflicting info. Asked for confirmation of log in details as i had misplaced them only to be told I'd been sent them. Yeah thanks for that. I wouldn't be asking if i didn't need them. Cheaper than some of the others but there is a reason for this.

An intermediary supplies company formation application forms to all company formation agents. They have been agreed with Companies House and do not allow for the inclusion of a middle name.
To adjust your details at Companies House, you must log into the company administration account we have given you and make the change online.
Your accountants set up your company using their email address, which has complicated the login details to your company administration account.
We have reviewed the emails exchanged over the past few days and understand your frustration. A better explanation should have been given to you. Please accept our apologies for not doing so. We have today checked that your account is working and a member of our support team will call you to ensure that you can access your account and make the changes you wish to make.

Registering our Limited Company
My business partner have operated a small web services company for a number of years and wanted to progress our future by converting the company to have Limited status.
After reviewing many different companies offering this service we chose Smart Formations as offering what we required and at a very affordable price.
Everything we expected was delivered electronically efficiently and as promised.
We were also referred to open a Bank Business Account from a Bank chosen from the comprehensive list and now it is all open and operating.

Like all company formation agents, we use a software as a service (SAAS) provider to make our online company formation applications to Companies House. Companies House and the SAAS provider have agreed on the application forms, and that is how Companies House want the forms designed. The section of the form you refer to is part of that software, and we (like all formation agents) have no control over it.
Where the application form asks for a first name, you can also enter your middle names. We accept that the application form does not inform applicants of that possibility, and your point is well made.
We are pleased that your company formation was successful and that we were able to help you make the changes you required following the formation of the company.
