The paint on the glasses I bought started to flake off after about a two weeks. It was there own brand glasses. I asked for a refund and they asked me to send pictures of the glasses and they approved the refund. And offered free returns.

They are very slow processing the return. The return was delivered three weeks ago and I haven't got any money back yet. This is quite unusual as company usually give refunds in 10 business days. I am doubting if I'll get my money back at this stage.

Update: Smartbuyglasses got in touch and offer me a refund.

I have to say support was quite pleasant to deal with.

Re-review , my frame cracked so I tried to buy only frame but I couldn't I got in touch with customer service and I was kindly informed that I still have guarantee (that I didn't realise) I said that I have no time to go through the process as I'm going for holidays so I can pay for only frames and I can fit lenses(from my old glasses )my self ...I received my delivery y-day 4days before my holidays 5* for the extremely fast service and I received glasses with lenses fitted . impressive speed. Doesn't happen in many places .
So for effective and fast service 5*

Good frames and lenses, delivered quickly. The prescription is correct. Very satisfied with the glasses however not any cheaper than the High Street.

The delivery times advertised are way out, expect to wait weeks. The glasses were shipped from Hong Kong and not the UK as you would assume from their website. I paid for very thin lens but they gave me standard thickness and made the excuse that it was due to the frame i chose and my prescription which is -2.75 although the website states very thin lenses is good for up to -5.0. The frames were of low quality when received.
When queried you are responded to buy AI, no human interaction at all, you are stuck in a loop with AI that has an answer to everything except what you want, in my case a return for full refund after weeks. But as the second pair was not delivered yet, that became a challenge. Spent well over a £100 for rubbish

Been using SmartBuyGlasses for a good long time and I would definitely swear by them, recently I needed an eye test (specsavers) and got roped into buying two pairs of glasses for over €400, both are now broke and had to order two new pairs, decided to come back to SBG and got both pairs for €21, quality and delivery time was quicker and genuinely shocked by specsavers quality and time to make the lenses, will never change again thank you smartbuyglasses!!

I decided to try a pair of their cheapest reading glasses. At only €8 I wasn’t expecting much but turns out they are now my favorite pair. It was easy to upload my prescription and order. Great service. Amazing!
