I think the way this corporate bully of a company treats customers is disgusting. I have been ill for a while and have moved away from the Tamworth area and have had major medical issues but these disgusting people wont cancel my gym membership which i had visited max 2 times since joining. thinking they would appreciate and understand the situation they haven't they want proof of everything which i find a violation of my privacy as my mental health atm is at an all time low but no they just keep sending debt letters after letters. i have explained my situation to them and they just do not care money hungry corporate evil people. i suggest you read through any contracts closely or just boycott this gym altogether its too busy at the best the times, apparently dress code only applies for men as half naked women everywhere trying to catch young lads out its pervers. Manager at the desk isnt a very nice women either she will come across helpful but she really isnt interested. i am inn talks with my solictors and have been told i have a strong case and maybe others should stand up because these people cant treat people this way especially the state of the country atm. i just think your an awful place and i will be telling everyone what your like i already have saved a number of my friends from joining. and all have seen my situation and are glad they haven't, on top off that the gym looks fancy but realistically its mediocre at best the punch bags are too low from the hanging rafter which is a broken hand waiting to happen, the machines aren't the best and the attitude of staff and some women that go there puts you off straight away. biggest mistake ive ever made joining this gym.

Find a quiet day/time if you can

It was very busy - possibly overbooked. Kit collection was OK but for complete first timers - including 2 young kids, it was a little too hands off.
Our main instructor was a nice guy who tried his best - but he had to look after 5 of us first timers including 3 young kids. I ended up sitting out the second half of the lesson to help get kids ready for him to go again. I think there was supposed to be a second instructor allocated to us but he soon vanished on the slope. My daughter did ask him for some help but he didn't very much. Not sure he wanted to be there !
The snow where we were learning on was over crowded and compacted ice making it harder to learn.
Charging Car parking on top of £320 booking is taking the **** also.

Snowboarding with Paul and Zach

Had an absolutely amazing time learning to snowboard today! Paul and Zach are credits to the team, so welcoming and great teachers, made me feel completely at ease and made for a sick time on the slope! I’ll definitely be coming back for level 2!

We loved our beginners level 1 and 2

We loved our beginners level 1 and 2, great instructors giving us confidence and skill sets- fun and enjoyable. And kit was ready to use. Down side it was rather busy and alot of time waiting on the rope to take you up the slope due to beginners falling over, they need staff manning this more frequently. The restaurant was fab, and we were super happy we did level 1 and 2 on the same day, it gave us the confidence to go from the top of the big slope and use the travelator- escalators which freed us away from the beginners rope and feel we would defo come back. Dont forget to pay for parking before you leave - poorly signed on exit - and lockers need 20p pieces - would be helpful to know as you enter rather than once changed with equipment. Definitely coming back. Thanks team snowdome for being upbeat, fun and caring for us all !

Poorly maintained and managed costly and crowded

Paid a premium for 2hrs free ski- no size 10 boots as too busy, finally given a pair with a broken strap, returned to the staff to say there was nothing they could do it was the only pair they had general persona from the young staff was reasonably obnoxious.
Changing facilities for the men over crowded and the small changing space smelt awful coming from the 1 urinal and toilet in there.

Slope over crowded with lots of icy patches so many lessons going blocking the mid section creating a dangerous funnel.
not been here for 18 years but realised why I had left it that long it’s certainly not changed. Also bring 20 pence pieces for the lockers (non refundable) 😂 It may well have been due to it being a Saturday so cannot comment mid week. When they charge a premium for the Saturday slots I would at least expect the volume to be capped to a safe number and the kit hire to be adequate and available.

Serves a purpose to have a quick practise before going away but struggle to see the value any other time for anyone who more than a beginner.
Also don’t forget the parking fee on your way out.

WORST experience ever

WORST experience ever, and we haven't even got to the actual venue yet. Could not buy tickets on their website first: unknown error in any browser I tried. Bought a gift voucher in the end. Now I cannot activate it - yet another JavaScript error. OK, maybe I can use e-ticket they sent me? No, page not found. What kind of nonsense is this?!

Snowdome… one of the poorest staff I’ve…

Snowdome… one of the poorest staff I’ve ever met. I understand that during Christmas they are dealing with a large number of customers, but that’s not our problem. Don’t give us (the customers) your problems and your frustration. We are coming there to enjoy our time, on our money, with our kids, putting food on your tables as well.
From the young ladies at reception who don’t even give you a smile, but respond in a rude manner, to the staff in Winter Wonderland, especially the lady at the photo counter. I handed my ticket to print my photo and again, she responded with “I’m not serving”, like I was supposed to know that a person behind the till, wearing a staff uniform, is not performing a certain task. Lady, it’s not my problem. As long as you are behind the till, you are serving.
Moving forward to the main restaurant, where we were asked to find a table on our own, but later being asked about tips. Later, I forgot my son’s bottle of water, and upon returning to collect it, I was asked to serve myself (the bottle being inside the bar). Like, if I go in the bar, should I pour myself a drink as well? Or maybe you can share your tips with me, if you ask me to serve myself.
In conclusion, a place where I’ve spent over £300 and been treated like shit.
Not to mention the staff from the swimming pool. Unfortunately, I didn’t have armbands for my kid, but some were on the side, belonging to nobody. Most probably, the person who left them won’t spend money on gas coming back to collect them, as it’s cheaper to buy new ones. After asking to borrow them, I was told that they can get damaged (something inflated with air, damaging in water). If you are rational and use your brain, you will understand that something like that cannot happen, and if it will happen, money will be provided.
Stop being rude, disrespectful, and be kind to the people who are keeping your salary flowing.
Overall, one of the worst places I’ve been to, one of the worst experiences, and expensive. Don’t recommend. Stop hiding behind all these health and safety rules and politics when, in fact, you are just being hypocrites.

Don’t bother

Don’t bother, what t a rip off!
Got pushed around the edge of an ice rink with just a little slide.. then an alarm went off to go see Santa in the Panto which wasn’t too bad!.
After that you get pushed up stairs to see a few rabbits and 2 alpacas .. then has you exit you get given a little chocolate that’s no bigger than your little finger..
All in all it’s the worst Santa experience we have been on and we have been on many.. forgot to mention it’s run by 14 year old kids!

Terrible customer service on party bookings

I tried to book a birthday party here for my child. They were so unhelpful very poor customer service too. I wanted to book a private function and they said they only do private parties for big mile stones not kids party! I said if I’m paying what does it matter to you? Anyway cut a long story short there customer service team and management are terrible! Even the management couldn’t acknowledge this.

Long-time customer

I've been using the SnowDome for various activities ever since it opened. I've taken both of my kids swimming here, and continue to do so with my youngest, I enjoy a swim myself, I'm a member of the gym (and am very much looking forward to the opening of the revamped gym later this month) and I've made use of the climbing, ice skating and snow play at various times for both of my kids. We've eaten in Aspen and back in the day had coffee in the old Starbucks. My company has even held a corporate event at the SnowDome. The spa is lovely and worth a visit if you fancy a sauna or a steam and the staff have for the majority been accommodating and helpful. I'm very pleased that Tamworth has a space like this so close to home.

Learn to ski in a day…more like learn…

Learn to ski in a day…more like learn to ski in an hour or get lost. Had the displeasure of instructor Tim F today and was left really disappointed to put it mildly . From his lack of patience (unless you’re female) to flippant and condescending ‘teaching points’. After a comment of “you need to change how you learn” I’m struggling to understand how he’s a professional instructor. His answer to a couple of the group struggling to be able slow themselves down and stop was to take them higher up the slope which resulted in a thick set man ploughing into 3 young kids that were waiting for the rope pulley. The que being conveniently at the bottom of the part of the slope he got us to ski on. Not a lot of thought as to health and safety.
As for the course itself, it’s not ‘learn to ski’ it’s ’learn to slow, stop and turn’ which is fine but the title is very miss leading. It seems rushed to squeeze their schedule in and if it’s a full group of 10 you’ll be doing a lot of standing around. We had a group of 6 and that felt too many for the ‘instructor’ to handle, so if your a complete non skier then your probably better off getting some 1-1 coaching…preferably not with Tim F.

Ski-in-a-day... CHECK :)

Paid for our son (20) to have a ski-in-a-day 9-5pm coursw and boy did instructor Tim F deliver!! We were skiing ourselves on a general pass and as experienced skiiers ourselves were extremely impressed with the level of care and empathy and patience he showed to the group of 3 of extremely varied ability. B was skiing right from the top, practically parallel, by the end of the day. Watching the other instructors as we journeyed up the conveyor belt I was struck by how focused and personal the tuition is here. Further to this I would like to add very positive experiences with customer service queries answered promptly by email and cafe team members being utterly delightful, we ate quite a lot over the day! Boots were super comfy too. My ONLY criticism is the continuous awful American country music with questionable words played in the bar! Overall a huge hit and B will certainly be returning to polish his technique before Austria at Christmas.

Don’t waste your money!

Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, run by teenagers who have such attitude and don’t want to be there.
We started off with the climbing wall and the two members of staff spent the entire time catching up on their social life’s rather than supervising the children. One of them was more interested in her mini fan as she was too hot. However, I do have them chatting in quite a lot of my photos.
Secondly went into the fun snow area which is more suited for under 8s. Not up to 12 as website states. Too small and just hard ice. Not much to do in that area and a waste of money.
We then went ice skating again with more rude teenagers behind the counter with attitude. Not helpful and don’t help you size the helmets and slam the skates on the counter. The ice rink is the worst one I’ve ever been on, far too slippery and I’m really good at skating.
There’s a fast lane on the outside which is great, however this was clogged up with children with skating aids. One of the members of staff on the ice wearing a yellow hi vis knocked some random child over. Looked behind and saw what he had done and carried on skating. I was really shocked.

We visited the Santas Winter Wonderland…

We visited the Santas Winter Wonderland yesterday..please dont waste your money. We drove over an hour for some christmassy fun with the kids 5 & 11.
It started with one slide which they enjoyed and we then were led round a circular layout which had a couple of photo opportunities, a tiny slide and then pretty much called out to meet santa which was a panto setup which was ok.

We were then led through to animals most people have got in there own home. Given a chocolate at the end and sent on our way. Really disappointed and so were the kids. Never again would i book there.

Even tried to book on the wall climbing inside the main entrance and that was fully booked. We also tried to have dinner at the restaurant inside and they couldn’t accommodate us or even bother trying.

Just a waste of time and money. They also charge for parking even after we paid over £160. To have paid that money and not see many smiling faces is a big disappointment
