It was very busy - possibly overbooked. Kit collection was OK but for complete first timers - including 2 young kids, it was a little too hands off. Our main instructor was a nice guy who tried hi... See more

I don’t usually leave reviews but I done the snowboard in a day course with 2 instructors Will and Hannah. Great people, 10/10 experience get down there, couldn’t recommend them enough.
I think the way this corporate bully of a company treats customers is disgusting. I have been ill for a while and have moved away from the Tamworth area and have had major medical issues but these dis... See more

Winter wonderland whole family experience
Our family Christmas winterland experience was great. We had so much fun on the little snow slope, which was perfect for all ages (toddlers to Grandparents)
The sledges for the little ones is a great touch.
We all loved the panto. It contained all the elements of a traditional panto, but was short enough for little ones.
Our Grandchildren enjoyed the merry-go-round and seeing the animals.
A magical day out, thank you
Amazing experience at Winter…
Amazing experience at Winter Wonderland. Kids, grandparents all absolutely loved it!
Don’t bother with the winter wonderland
I have just returned from your 'magical Christmas experience' at a cost of £103 for myself partner and 3 small children aged 6,4,1. The experience was far from magical and came away extremely disappointed and children were upset, not what I had planned for a christmas family day out .
We were told to arrive 30mins before which we did and we asked where we should wait and was told anywhere your choice, you didnt need to arrive 30mins early??? We explained we was told to. Then we got told they couldnt start anything and go sit in an extremely busy cafe with no seats to sit on with 3 young children.
The staff at the front desk didnt appear to know what was going on kept asking each other what to do this was infront of customers which means they hadn't been trained properly leaving them vulnerable and putting everyone at risk.
We was just made to stand out on the front and wait where it was rammed with others so kids were already distressed.
When the 'experience' and I say that loosely started there was no staff around to guide you what to do. No one told us that we needed to grab a helmet and explain where we had to go.
When we was in the experience there was very minimal staff which is not good for health and safety or in the event of an emergency. The children didnt get enough time to go on the slides etc felt like everyone was just rushed round. Not the experience you sell on your page.
The minimal staff that was there was not observing what was happening and my one year old had a snowball thrown in his face by grown man.
We was the rushed through to the panto only noone told us where we needed to go and we was all just walking around trying to find it. This wasted our time
The Santa experience was awful the kids only got to shout at Santa what they want for Xmas during a panto. This is not acceptable or child orientated.
Went on to the next part but was so crowded kids got to go on merry-go-round once saw a guinea pig and that was it for that experience
The 'experience' was over within 1 hour. We had travelled from Derby. During the experience my children asked why they never got to see santa, what was I supposed to say to that. I am now in thr process of finding somewhere to take them as they are so upset.
On the way out we was offered a tiny chocolate Lindt ball that was it, this isn't 1year old friendly and for the cost of the experience absolutely poor and a rip off. What if a child has an allergy ?
If you are advertising Santa's winter Wonderland my understanding is that the children should get to see santa.
You advertise it as whizz around Santa's Wonderland it is a whizz cause blink and you miss it. It definitely isn't endless fun, cause you are crammed in and rushed round with inexperienced and minimal staff.
There was no Christmas spirit in the pantomime 'experience '
The most family fun we had was the drive home in the car with the promise of actually seeing santa.
I hope you take this email seriously and know how upset my children were with the lack of care and welfare for my family.
Winter event at snowdome 1/5
Went to the winter event for kids. Was terrible you get 30 minutes (if that) in the snow 5 of which you spent putting your kids safety hat on.
Non of the staff have a clue what's going on or the rules half of them extremely rude when you ask a basic question.
Do not go here! Don't waste your money
Coming to the place was an experience
Coming to the place was an experience. Being a ski instructor I learnt that the structure of lesson are awful and that they employ any person with no regard for quality of lessons. Listening around I found out that the management is to blame from years of bullying great instructors who wanted only the best for the business to choosing awful health and safety practices (how it's not closed is beyond me). Definitely makes sense that one of the CEOs failed a company in Arinsal is now managing here makes sense for its downfall.
Great ski lesson with James
We had a fantastic intermediate lesson with James, his energy was fab and he made everything fun (despite having a tough crowd at times). My son absolutely loved him and we both got so much from the session being able to parallel turn and enjoy skiing so much more. Thanks James! Helen and Danny.
First & last time at SnowDome
First time at SnowDome, long queue to check in, so crowded to get ready and on the slope there were lessons all of the way up so it was virtually impossible to go anywhere above walking speed. Snow feels like ice and is horrible to be on, Lift / conveyor belt system is hard to use on a snowboard. We booked for 3 hours and left after 15 minutes. We are now driving to Snozone in Milton Keynes which in comparison is a much better / cleaner / less crowded proposition.
Aspen Kitchen and Bar
Aspen Kitchen and Bar
Amazing atmosphere and the staff are really friendly, food was amazing and great value for the big portion sizes. Staff were brilliant with both my daughters but even more so with my eldest, who has autism. We were there for 2 hours plus and they made us feel welcome.

On Saturday 4th may I ordered Cajun chicken burger with sweet potato fries and side of halumi fries. Took for kids at home they truly enjoyed it and said best cooked burger and so tasty. Amazing food in aspens!
Amazing food in aspens!! Absolutely loving the new menu, I fully recommend this as a place to eat. All round fun for the family, activity wise. Grab a bite to eat in aspens after, it’s amazing, love the scenery, love the vibe, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful! 10/10!!!!
Snowdome Fitness
Today cancelled my Snowdome fitness membership as the place has gone seriously downhill. Members changing room cold and showers freezing. Much of the gym equipment is old and tatty and many of the classes where great instructors come in from outside of the snowdome are overcrowded and not enough equipment available. The swimming pool is usually very cold and the public changing areas are cold and not particularly clean. The small clases on the gym floor are really clicks with some of the instructors more interested in discussing their exes and nights out with the regular group participants. The spa is not even worth bothering with as some part of it is usually out of order. I'm actually quite sad writing this as many of the members are great and it is generally quite friendly. However it really isn't worth the membership anymore. Also on trying to cancel they are expecting me to pay up till November. The contract that I signed requires 3 months notice which I feel is wrong as they no longer provide the facilities my membership covers. Nb I would pay the 3 months notice as its a contract. If they think I am paying more they are delusional.
Staff members customer service amazing
First visit was to the winter wonderland 22nd December with my 2,adult children and 2 year old granddaughter. Fantastic experience from start to finish. Will rebook for this year. My daughter whilst there suggested going back yesterday for her birthday as she loved the whole experience in December. So i phoned asked what the difference was and was told its the same minus Santa. So we decided the snow fun park and ice skating. Struggled to book online so phoned again on Thursday to book. I said to do the snow fun for 99 minutes then ice skating for 2 hours. Not once was i corrected and told it was only 30 minutes it was only once confirmation came through i saw snow fun 30 minutes. We arrived reception was mayhem. Girl gave me wristbands for snow fun only, didn’t tell us what to do where to go, only for me have to re queue for wristbands for iceskating. By the time we finally found where we were going we had five minutes on one slide. Nothing like what we had experienced in December whatsoever. So i spoke to the 2 girls on the desk down stairs who were fantastic. Due to their customer service we ended up having the best time ever. Would we have booked knowing the snow fun was absolutely nothing like December i do not know, i wish i would have asked the girls name on the desk down by the snow fun as their help was outstanding. The reception staff that didn’t help need to look how the professionals act out customer service. Also the team member on the 4pm slide on sat 13th January 2024. Who again fantastic, my 2 year old granddaughter he saw crying at the bottom and he was there in a shot from the top asking if everything was ok. Do I recommend? YES but ask questions until you get satisfactory answers.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves only due to them two girls making a bad situation good. So thank you
I cannot believe im writing a 2nd…
I cannot believe im writing a 2nd review in just over a week..Will never go near that place again, very badly managed in swimming experience, very misleading in what they offer in general, not enough info on what each package actually entails.
Seems customer care and satisfaction has gone, seems to be all about making money.
But was so traumatised by our experience in the swimming flume & floats pool, dont want anyone else to go through it.
Experience it was but not a good one for sure.
Went the week before to Santa's Winter Wonderland experience was a let down, see my other review on that.
But grandsons saw the Climbing Walls, and Flume & Float and wanted a revisit.
Wish we had not bothered, came away traumatised, upset and in shock at what we were put through in the Flume and Float.
On entering the pool, myself & daughter and grandchildren chose lockers to put our stuff into, not many available.
Luckily I had chosen a different one to my daughter.
The one she had was abit stiff to open, and kept jamming, but finally she got 20p in and locked it and proceeded to pool.
Key was on a rubber band you put on your arm.
Thought nothing about it, till youngest grandson had had enough and wanted to get out.
Daughter went to get dressed.
Next thing she is totally distressed back at pool, saying everything had gone out her locker no.34, and her locker door was wide open.
Her bag with all there clothes in, car keys, purse, phone all gone.
We were mortified.
She ran to reception to tell them soaking wet in her costume, they seemed to not treat it as a serious issue or didnt rush themselves or seem to care.
But made a point of asking us to bring back our locker key no.34 to reception..??
I asked my daughter have they phoned the police? Looked at camera's.? She said they will send for the manager.
She said receptionist had said to her that I her mom had been to reception saying my 20p had jammed in locker.
WHAT RUBBISH I was in the pool the whole time.
So I went to reception, in my costume, soaking wet to say I had not been to see her, she said in a matter of fact way 'oh it must have been someone else'
I said it must have been, and have they phoned the police and looked at camera's as speed is of the essence, because they were so laid back about it all.
But wasn't them that had all there clothes, phone, purse, car keys missing,we had come a fair way, and didnt know at this point how we would get home.
Horrible to feel this way.
They said we will send manager to you.
In walked a miserable manager, with a big bunch of keys.
We explained what had happened to her, that my daughters locker no.34 was open and all her stuff gone..The manager said have you tried all other lockers by hers, my daughter said she tried key on others, wouldnt open any others.
Her locker was 34 what she had on her wrist.
The manager said have you tried no 31 which she the manager struggled to open, no.31 was next locker to my daughter's locker 34..Why would we when my daughter had a wristband with 34 on it.?
On the manager opening it, there was all my daughters stuff.
Someone had moved it fgs.
How dare they.
We where so relieved.
So we said to the manager, how has this happened..?
We then looked at my daughter's rubber wristband, it had two numbers 31 & 34 written in biro pen, that you could hardly see because it had obviously rubbed off in the water.
So we tried no.34 key it also opened no.31 locker.
And then 34 jammed and two 20p's dropped out.
Which was even stranger, because then we remembered what reception had said earlier that someone had gone to them saying there locker had jammed, and they gave them another 20p.
Who it was ? we will never know, who moved my daughters things and caused us great distress we wont never know, plus it could all have been stolen.
Was it the miserable manager who had access to all the locker keys, and had gone to help the other person who said there locker had jammed or someone who had a wristband like my daughters with no.34 & 31 on it, and they opened 34, saw my daughters stuff in there, and moved it.
Regardless, a terrible traumatising situation.
And to top it off..Paid 4.50 for a Project D Donut from cafe, which was stale and dry.
Noticed others had left there's too.
THEY NEED TO GET THERE ACT TOGETHER.
WITH BETTER ORGANISATION COULD BE A NICE PLACE TO GO TO!!
Turned away wonderland…
Arrived today for the family wonderland event to be turned away after making an hours drive as I had made a human error and booked 24th November instead of December. Children had to leave feeling very upset
Took my 3 children 6,9 and 11,and they…
Took my 3 children 6,9 and 11,and they absolutely loved it,I'd definitely recommend to anyone with a young family, the cinderela pantomime was hilarious I say this as my 9 year old was reluctant to go in but once in absolutely loved it,grace on reception was ace in answering any and all of our questions, she even arranged so our visit wasn't wasted as tickets purchased were for following week not on day of attendance, thank you again for making it a wonderland experience for my children
Snowboarding lessons waste of money…
Snowboarding lessons waste of money AVOID. Instructor expects you to know how to snowboard even though you've enrolled for a lesson which means to be taught. Showed no empathy or encouragement and was frustrated with my 10yr old and myself when we needed help. Very off putting lessons
I can't thank Shannon enough!
I can't thank Shannon enough!
It was my first time skiing and she couldn't have been any better. I was lucky enough to have 1:1, shannon was so easy to talk to, so patient and made the whole lesson so comfortable!
I couldn't recommend Shannon enough, thank you for making my experience so enjoyable🤗
Dean was very patient
Kids had a ski lesson on Sunday the 11th of June. Dean the instructor was very patient with the kids even got my daughter to continue when she was struggling and ready to give up ! The snowdome was great we had booked in May but had issues and they rearranged our tickets for the following month.
Went on a friday for the Snowboarding day session…
Went on a friday for the Snowboarding day session. Only a handful of people on the slope. I can imagine it gets stressful if you add many more though.
Solid food and drink and Dean was a really friendly, professional and considerate instructor.
Ice skating only 28/12/22
We went ice skating last year in between Xmas and New Year, really good, festive and not overly busy. This year we’ve returned and we feel they’ve become greedy giving too many people different time slots for Ice skating, we are sure it was one group in - one group out last year on the hour which kept it less busy. We paid £9 for our penguins equalling £18, we needed to swap for polar bears because the childrens backs were hurting age 6 and 9 and non available. People actually also stole our penguins when we went to the toilet and we whitenessed people helping themselves to skating aids when not paid for which also happened last year, not ideal when we’ve paid £18. Will Probably try somewhere else next year, people also complaining that the snow dome experience was too quick and a waste of money, which we didn’t take part in thankfully. Would no longer recommend, such a shame when it was perfect last year.
