Im here in pictou county and in this…

Im here in pictou county and in this weeks flyer you have maple leaf Antibiotic Free Rotisserie Chicken. Not one store has this in stock. Its extremely frustrating when you go to get something and there is nothing there. If its in the flyer there should be lots there. I dont know why any one would shop at sobeys. Superstore or Walmart is by far a better choice for groceries.

"Glitches" are using the money to redeem

Cashiers in cooperation with the customer service are inventing "glitches" in system. I was told I have $10 to redeem and printing the receipt showed that $10 didn't showed up as redeemed but the points were less like they were redeemed.

The Sobeys in sage creek area in…

The Sobeys in sage creek area in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada have terrible front end staff. Just rude and disrespectful supervisors. I used to work there as a cashier but I had enough of not being paid on time for the few months I worked there. The owner Rick Champagne is rich and you can tell because of the things he would brag about with his underpaid employees and how he would speak to me and others is unbelievable. I also had a friend work there before me as a cashier and one of the front end supervisors told her in exact words to “wipe the b*tch look of her face” disgusting.

Back to normal

Back to normal, I guess. Advertised items never in stock. They issue a rain check, 2 weeks later, still no stock. Guess the truck never came. But, I can order it from the online delivery and pay 3 times the price, plus the delivery charge,…….and…..they have it in stock. Wow. Really disappointing, But I guess it should be expected.

I’m just letting you know that latest…

I’m just letting you know that latest commercial with kid putting salt in recipe instead of sugar is ridiculous because why is there completed baked goods all around and why is kid left to bake on his own ? Father asks child if he used box he has in hand and put in various cakes , I doubt baked goods would turn out so delicious looking all around counter , then father brings bag of store bought baked goods , just doesn’t make any sense at all

I like my local Fort Erie Sobeys

I like my local Fort Erie Sobeys. For the most part the staff is very friendly and helpful. Super nice set up, great bakery and fruits and veggies are always nice.
I would like things to move along a bit quicker sometimes but all in all a good store

Sobey's Doesn't Care that They Tried to Poison My Family

I bought a turkey from Sobey's - the closest Safeway is 130 kms away - the turkey was recalled and Sobey's did not contact me - Safeway sent out an email to their customers regarding the tainted turkeys but Sobey's didn't - remember that Sobey's is the parent company not Safeway - luckily I opened the Safeway email which I typically would not have and got the message - but too late - no turkey for the 10 people joining me for Thanksgiving today - the worst part was the store blamed it on head office and Sobey's customer care said you got a refund so you can't speak to a manager - I wasn't complaining about the refund - I was complaining about the service and the care of their customers - abysmal - and the worst part is SCENE+ tracks everything I buy and can send me coupons for my favorite items but can't contact me when I'm about to feed my family tainted poultry - they have lost a customer - and I have a call into the health inspector - also in contacting the store and the customer care line I spoke with 3 different people - not one person said a simple "I'm sorry" - disgusted.

Sobeys has sold me rotten food and a…

Sobeys has sold me rotten food and a $30 dollar steak that was all fat and gristle. I didn't keep the receipt and they say they can't help me. I've even bought ground beef from there that was 80/20 and it was so lean I had to add butter to it so it did not burn up.

i paid exorbitant prices for tasteless…

i paid exorbitant prices for tasteless usually rotten fruit. And the food terminal is literally next door.

They spent money renovating, which followed with increased prices and food quality that has gone to hell. This has been an ongoing problem since the renovation, not a single incident.

sobeys doesn't replaced the damaged gift card

Hello Everyone and Sobeys Management ,
if you are reading this , i am writing here because i have no where to go now.

I have purchased the amazon gift card from Sobeys on 22 august, 2023 and when i tried to see the printed claim code on it i found that the paper surface on which claim code was printed was already damaged which you can clearly see in pictures I have provided . maybe due to bad glue or something , half of the printed code is stuck on the upper part of the paper strip and the other half is left on the card itself which proves that it was already damaged before I could read it . so there is no chance that anyone can read it or use it .

I tried to request store associates that kindly look into this matter, they said that they understand that it was already damaged but they denied to replace the card and said that i should contact amazon support. so then i talked to amazon support and they found that the card serial number was not showing up in their system too. Now this clearly means that this card was never used.

then amazon support told me to go back to Sobeys and so i again requested sobeys store. this time they told me that they are going to create ticket or something and also connected me to store manager Jamie. and she was agreed too that the card was already damaged but still she said "we can not do anything for you".
I again requested her that kindly check that there must be a way to see in system where those $100 is sitting currently. but she simply said "$100 is sitting on that card you purchased , but if you are not able to use it that's not our problem. you should talk to amazon"".

now everybody knows that I am right but nobody can do anything for me.

if i bought anything from sobeys you are responsible for that because i paid $100 to sobeys and you can not simply say "we can not help you".

Now i am not sure whom should i contact as both parties are saying that you have the damaged product and if you can not use it that's not their problem.

I am writing here because I am still hopeful and maybe $100 is nothing for Sobeys but for me its a hard earned money for which i have to work for whole day .

if somebody is listening please help .
I have all the image proofs of product and bill.

Sobeys on Marlee street

They always have all we need as a family. Also I have a story to add about the urban fresh on Marlee street. My car broke in front of the store and the manager was so kind and helped fix my car. He was amazing and made a big difference.

Vegetables and fruits are not fresh

Vegetables and fruits are not fresh. Even one week later they sell the same old vegetables an fruits at "special price" instead of throwing away this half rotten stuff. Yesterday i bought freh cod fish and at home I saw there was several dangerous herring worms inside! Where is quality control at Sobeys?

What is going on with Sobeys......

I have to start by saying that Sobey's is loosing its margin with marketing. I haven't seen anything like this in my life. This is my second bad encounter with this company. I'm not a marketing expert, but I do know bad marketing when I see it! To get to the point, let me ask you as customers what you would think and do?
Situation: called Sobeys as I was told that they are clearancing out their mulch. Indeed they were when I called, so I went in and paid 1.99 for a bag, bought a few bags to say the least. I then called my wife and asked her to pick up a few more. When she went in, they said the bags were 4.29 (wasn't even the original reg price) and that the bags were never a 1.99. I scratched my head for a second and wondered what was going on. All I know is this is the second time something like this has happened. What would you do?

COMPLIMENTS DRY ROASTED…

We bought COMPLIMENTS DRY ROASTED PEANUTS my husband put a handful in his mouth and chewed on a piece of stone!! When I wrote to them they opened a claim and a few days later they wrote back your claim is closed. No apologies. Nothing. I sent them a picture of it , I get it’s word of mouth. No way to prove it. But a least say they’re looking into it. Sorry this happened to us

Just purchased Compliments Bacon and…

Just purchased Compliments Bacon and noticed that like everything these days the amount of Bacon has now been reduced for 500 to 350 grams for the same price last week for the 500 gram. The worst thing of all is that once i opened the new packaging for the Compliments Bacon I found that the internal packaging is now PLASTIC replacing the previous paper internal packaging. So much for Sobey's commitment to reducing plastics!!!!!!!! I now purchase SuperStore brand bacon (until they decide to follow the rest of the hypocrites).
