Installation was straightforward and everything was explained, couldn’t fault it, however we’ve since had a fault and have spent 2 months being passed between soly and GivEnergy and given the run aro... See more

Very helpful explained everything well

I was called however I was walking my dog. No one called back as requested. I was told the guy "had a very busy schedule"!
Very informative and practical telephone conversation and good follow up with quotations.
Good quotation and communication process. I have placed an order for 2x5 kW batteries with them.
The man called me, wasted 45 minutes of my time, then said he that had another appointment and would send me the quote by email in the evening. No email received, no quote received. It was an utter waste of time with unnecessary gibberish
Grant was detailed yet covered what in his experience would be a best fit for our potential solar battery needs. This was about identifying the right battery vs. the most costly battery. The objective was established and the proposed selection felt like fit for task.
Absolute Joke of a company. They are great when somethings going well but hopeless otherwise. We paid our deposit and were fully excited and onboard with getting our solar panels. Initially there were delays for various reasons such as stock issues, and then a roofer came out to inspect our roof and said the tiles were fragile and they needed spares incase some broke. This took them a fair few weeks to organise. The electrician came and installed the battery and inverter and scaffolding and roofer came the following day. After a few hours of work we were told that our tiles were too fragile and we wouldn't be able to get solar panels.
Soly are now trying to charge us £2,190.90 based on the work they have currently carried out and unfortunately hold a £2300 deposit of ours.
This is absolutely ridiculous as I am sure everyone reading this review will agree with. You would think that Soly would carry out more extensive surveys prior to starting their work on our house. We are now left with a battery we dont want, unsightly wires along the side of our house and trunking in the house that is unnecessary.
I dont see why we should be a penny out of pocket as a result of Soly not carrying out a proper assessment on whether our roof is able to hold solar panels. We live in a 15 year old house with a very healthy looking roof.
About to start the process to fight them to get our deposit back and will happily take them to small claims court if required. PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE USING SOLY.
A LOT OF THEIR GOOD REVIEWS COME FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE REACHED OUT TO SOLY BUT NOT HAD PANELS INSTALLED YET.
Soly-energy called us to talk about their solar panels. Jamie was Very polite and talked us through the benefits of having solar panels. He gave us all the information about the panels, the Inverter and about having a battery pack. He was not pushing for a sale and gave us plenty of time to talk about it between my self and my wife. The price quoted was very reasonable.
Many thanks to Amelio for providing clear instructions about the technical review- it all went very smoothly!
Grant made my initial consultation very informative. He listened to what my requirements were for a solar PV system and discussed the options available. He was knowledgeable about the products available and then designed the system suitable for my house location. Note that this is a review of the consultation and quote process only.
Very informative call and got straight to figures and options with zero hard sell.
Quote has been the most competitive out of about 6 companies and we are very likely to instruct them to do the work in the coming days.
It was refreshing to not have someone come around my house and give me the hard sell. Alison was really knowledgable when it came to the products and put my mind at ease on a few of my silly questions. The installation was quick and easy, scaffolding was only up for a week. We have now had the panels up for 2 weeks and can't wait to start getting paid for energy!
Had an extremely insightful call with George, glad that he went over everything in such detail
No work has yet been done, so this is a review of the setting up of the job rather than its execution. we’ve had no contact with the sales team in the flesh, but so far the representatives are soly seem to be very well informed adaptable and are not aggressively marketing their products. It appealed to us this is an international company with experiences beyond the UK. Generally it has been avery nice experience dealing with them and we have chosen to go with Soly.
