100% Do Not Recommend Using This Company!!
They don't deliver good work. They only show the few good songs that they do for advertising. If you send them a list of things you want them to sing about, they only mention 2 or 3 of em. If it wasn't for them saying the mandatory "name" in the song then your partner wouldn't even know it was for them. But wait, there's more... They'll charge you $10 per line/verse if you want to fix it and then the artist will slap it together in a hour or so and send you back a horrible version going off tempo and definitely not going with the melody. All in all I spent about $550.00 USD & was NOT SATISFIED. For half a grand one would think you'd get a decent song. NOPE!

This is a great idea and wonderful gift from the heart. You can give as a gift to anyone.

Nice experience, love their service

My experience with Songfinch has been nothing short of a nightmare. From start to finish, the lack of transparency, communication, and quality was appalling, especially for a service charging $300 for a personalized song.

First, the song I received barely reflected the thoughtful, detailed submission I spent over two hours writing. Most of my personal stories—like how we met—were completely ignored, with only two small details included. The rest of the song felt generic and padded with filler, with 30 seconds wasted on music before the singing even started. For the price, I expected a high-quality, heartfelt product, not a poorly crafted song that fell short in every way.

When I requested revisions, I was told my adjustments—like rephrasing and shortening text—would require additional charges, and they classified this as a "song remix." But their website says a remix involves big changes, like altering the genre, tempo, or mood. None of that applied to my minor tweaks. I only restructured my original submission to reduce word count without changing any details. It’s baffling how they justified these extra charges, especially since revisions are supposed to be part of the process.

The form I filled out during the initial production process also lacked critical details, like how long two or three verses would be or if there was a character limit. Because of this ambiguity, I selected two verses, only to find out later that this wasn’t enough to include my full submission. If they had been upfront about word limits or provided clarity on what to expect, I would have chosen three verses and avoided this entire mess.

Adding insult to injury, my questions about the process and pricing have been repeatedly ignored or answered vaguely. For example, I asked how minor edits—like changing a word or punctuation—qualify as a remix, but I received no clear response. It feels like they’re deliberately avoiding transparency to make clients pay more. I also feel like the decision-making process was taken out of my hands. As the customer, I should have had the chance to decide what stayed or didn’t, but instead, it felt like the artist arbitrarily cut important details without consulting me.

The whole experience feels like a money grab, where Songfinch takes advantage of people’s emotions and trust to deliver a subpar product while charging outrageous fees for anything extra.

If you’re considering using Songfinch, don’t. The product quality is poor, the customer service is dismissive, and the process lacks the transparency you’d expect from a company charging this much. I deeply regret spending my money and time on this service.

Review: Disappointed with Songfinch Service

I’m deeply disappointed with the service provided by Songfinch (not the artist). While the concept of a custom song is great, the execution and customer service leave much to be desired.

You pay a significant amount of money, but there’s no opportunity to provide personalized input beyond a limited form. There’s no direct contact with the artist or the company, which is incredibly frustrating. Everything is handled through AI, chatbots, and standard email templates – it’s anything but personal and far from service-oriented.

For the price, I expected much better. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Songfinch based on this experience.

I really find the price I paid disproportionate for a song that could easily be made by AI and that you can't even choose a base from the ones they use (which are very basic pre-recorded bases with no emotion whatsoever). Even so, I say that I want to pay extra to improve it because I don't want to feel like I've thrown money away and that's not possible either. If they're going to provide a mediocre service that you can do yourself at home with GPT chat, they should charge money proportional to your effort. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone after all. I've found similar companies where for less money, you get lyrics review, you can choose between 20 different bases or even recommend a song as inspiration.

KAI CROSS did a song for my partner you can play on the radio. For the last minute rush, I must say, I’m extremely grateful! SF does a good job at finding exactly who can do what and execute even the last minute request! Talented people! She hums the melody often :D

What an underwhelming experience:

Paid $360 for Chat GPT to cobble together some incredibly lame song. This wouldn’t cut it as a nursery rhyme, never mind a meaningful song.

After interacting with customer support SIX times I still have been unable to amend it. Every edit costs $60.

Save your money and instead attend a Sunday school sing along for better lyrics!

Gave the artist our love story and some potential lyrics. The end product made absolutely no sense, song was pretty bad, there was no way I could give it to my fiancé. I asked for a re-write or refund, they wouldn't do either...I would try one of the other companies that offer this service as Songfinch is not customer friendly at all

The customer service here is horrible. They will not give any refund no matter how much you dislike a song unless you want to fork over more money. The song beat was NOTHING like the sample and they refused to change it and despite numerous back-and-forth emails they were just not helpful. For a big ticket $200 item, they should be more flexible.

Zak Leever is amazing! I ordered a song quite hesitantly and not knowing what to expect, but Zak crushed it without a doubt! I could tell he spent time to incorporate the things that matter most to me and my wife, (children, inside jokes, important days) and it is phenomenal! I had to reach out to him personally to thank him for his amazing work, this will be our favorite song for years to come. Very, very impressed with Zak and looking forward to the next interaction! Highly recommend!

I purchased a song from them for my wife's birthday. The initial song was nice in part; I was happy with two of the three verses.

I asked for some reviews to be done on my first verse as the lyrics were quite ordinary. I even sent them the lyrics to use which I composed myself. This was a free service however I gave the "artist" a generous tip for his trouble.

The song came back and I've literally never heard anything more stupid in my life. Songfinch have clearly used AI to complete the requested edits and new first verse. It is so obvious as the AI was not able to account for full stops, commas, etc. The AI just reads through the lyrics, not understanding the tone of the song. An artist would never present work like that.

I told them I honestly did not care about the AI and just wanted my song fixed. Customer service has been horrendous. No help. Refusing to fix their error. Multiple emails, 6 weeks later and still no fix. They want me to pay another verse fee to redo the song they stuffed up. I am honestly baffled.

EDIT: I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO GET HELP THROUGH ONE OF THEIR STAFF MEMBERS NAMED 'BRAD DOLLAR'. HE MADE IT VERY EASY AND GOT THE ISSUE FIXED STRAIGHT AWAY. HUGE APPRECIATION TO HIM.

I purchased a song and requested updates after which I was told to spend nearly another $130 for an extra verse and extra changes. Fair enough, I paid for that but then they replaced one of the verses rather than adding an extra one. I am getting nowhere with their customer service which cannot apply simple logic and answer my questions about how is it after I purchased an extra verse, my updated song has the same amount of lines and is the same duration? Then they sneakily added an update to the song while it was still in revision and they copied one of the existing verses twice, to make it look like they actually fulfilled my request. However, I have saved all versions and can prove them wrong. I have asked for a refund for the extra verse add-on which they failed to deliver and after spending over $300 they are saying they have already provided this service and don't want to refund the $60 for the extra verse. I will be seeking a full refund from my bank for the $300 instead then!

So I changed my 1-star review to a 4-star review.

I bought a song and recived it today. And although the lyrics and melody are very nice, the song misses a whole couple of lines. There is no singing, only instrumental. I put in a complaint, and when it's fixed I will adjust this review.

I wanted something really special for mine & my husbands 1st wedding anniversary after being together for 14 years. I saw a few reveal videos and didn’t read reviews, so went ahead and spent the money which is a lot to me. I spent so much time filling all the dates and everything out of our relationship, and asked for a happy uplifting R&B song. I picked an artist as loved her voice. I received the song as it wasn’t as personalised as I thought it would be, the lyrics didn’t really use any of the dates or personal words used. Listening to it you wouldn’t know it was for a particular person really, and the tempo and instrumental was like a heartbreak song and really downbeat. So opposite to what I asked for. I had the option to only change 5 of the lyrics, So I changed these and emailed to advise how upset I was about the instrumental as it’s opposite to what I asked for. They said they can’t make any changes and just kept sending me a link where if I paid extra then they could basically make the change. I’ve never dealt with such robotic and awful customer service for something so personal and special. I asked why I should pay extra for something I asked for in the first place and they just Emily from customer service just completely ignored my feelings and everything I wrote and just asked me to pay extra. If you love your song I’m sure it’s great, but reading the rest of the reviews if you’re not happy with it then there’s basically nothing you can do about it. All the stuff on their website about loving our song is their number 1 goal is complete crap. If you have money to waste then go for it, but don’t rely on it as a special gift. Left so upset and disappointed and they won’t do anything about it

I bought a song for my husband for our anniversary this year. I chose a wonderful artist named Adam James Deiboldt to write the song and it is AMAZING! We listened to it for the first time today and it brought tears to my husband’s eyes. This is one of the best purchases I have ever made and I’m so so so happy with the song. Thank you, Adam!! 🤩

My husband is very hard to buy for - he hates being the center of attention and never asks for anything. So for his birthday, I wanted to get him a gift that was special, unique, and respectful of what would make him comfortable. When our family listened to his custom song, our children starting crying because they thought it was so beautiful. For his part, my husband said it was the best and most special gift he'd every received. He loved how it told our love story, and that he had a personal memento of what that love story has meant to me.

Do not waste your time or money on this company! I ordered a song for my husband, along with a vinyl copy for our anniversary. The song was ok, but I had to spend time correcting lyric typos and lyrics. I decided to purchase a second song hoping it would be amazing, instead of just ok...it was worse! Instead of wasting time again, with their editing tool trying to edit lyrics. correct typos and somehow request a melody change. I reached out directly to customer service, before the deadline to correct lyrics. They offered NO options to rectify my displeasure. They said the vinyl was already in production, even though the song wasn't approved. The whole experience was an expensive waste! My son even listened to the song and said, "Daddy would hate that."

In my original song, it was really hard to hear my husband's name in the song. I contacted customer support and Isidor tried one way which didn't work. Then he had the artist rerecord the parts where my husband's name was in the song. I got the song back and it still wasn't right. To top it all of, the artist mixed up words in two of the stanzas. I contacted customer service 2 more times but now that they had my money why would they contact me back. Right? So I was left with a crappy song to play for my husband on our 25th Anniversary yesterday. He couldn't even hear his name in the song but was a good sport about it. We just wanted to enjoy our anniversary.

I started the process about 2 months before my anniversary so there was lots of time to make corrections.

Why would I try to contact you again when I clearly stated in my review I already tried to contact you TWICE and did not receive a reply! Why are you not offering to contact me? I’m hesitant to contact you once again but will give it one more try and that’s it. I have low expectations.

Why would I want a corrected version now? My anniversary has passed and I’ve already given my husband the song. What’s done is done. The only option I see is to offer me a refund as you couldn’t get it right on several tries.

Had an amazing experience creating a personal song for my wife with Shayan Regan. He is not only such an amazing kind person but has a phenomenal voice (my wife called Ed Sheeran esc)

Such a unique gift idea that will stay with you and whoever you make it for forever.
