I was a little hesitant initially, paying for an unknown product. I selected Jane from Texas as the artist. When I received the email that the song was completed, I was in tears. It was perfect!

Thank you so much from the bottom of my being. This was beautifully performed and the lyrics were exactly what I had in my head.

Customer service and explanatoin of the process extremely poor; ability to change the song after a confusing process, they want to charge another $90. Really? For a $200 song, that's not a tiny amount of change, they should give you more time, and more opportunity for changes beyond just the lyrics -- or check the lyrics with you FIRST, then record it or have ANY chance to interact with the actual musician (which you dont get). I loved the lyrics, but the tempo and beat did not match the sample given for the musician I selected AT ALL. Totalllllly different style. A big disappointment as she does not listen to thaht genre of music at all, and it's much more slow and talking, less upbeat tempo like I requested... I don't want to blame the artist because it seems more like the policies of the company that are causing this problem. Also, I didnt even know my song was ready and by the time I checked back in, it was "too late" to edit.

I didn’t rush to answer the questions. I took time offline to think about what information would help the artist understand something about Shannon and what I wanted to communicate. Chaz Coats-Butcher not only composed an exceptional song, but he also performed and recorded it with a passion that was palpable. His dedication and talent brought the song to life, making it a truly memorable experience.

When the editing site didn’t work and and my song melancholy, but I asked for Happy… and had the song about to “expire in the 72 editing window” closing… I was scared that I made a mistake putting my money into this service, vs others on the market. Without a timely responses for help from songfinch, I had to email support a few more times before choosing “Other”, and asking to speak with someone.

From there on, the revision process was smooth, and timely. The song was back to me before I expected it, and my artist did a phenomenal job with the revisions. Overall took around 4 weeks to get a finished product after revisions.

I would use this and the artist again. And am very satisfied with the final product, albite some hick-ups, which came from Soundfinch not the artist: hard to contact after song release and limited written characters allowed when giving the artist what you want to express.

Do it, but allow some extra time before you need it!

The finial version of our song is perfect. I was worried with the first draft, and my initial interactions with the company, but the finial product more than makes up for it.

I'd give these people 10 out of 5 if I could! I will include some advice too for a new user below. Brettan Cox is an excellent artist!!! She put together an amazing song for me. The finished product far exceeded my expectations. I can't stop listening to it. :) I was skeptical at 1st how it would work, so I read reviews.
All I needed was a few small changes. (Mostly words that fit better to my unique situation.)
The customer service, Jen is the only name I caught, was excellent too. They get back to you and help asap.
I am going to do 3 more songs on here this month. That's how much I love it!
I will use the above singer again because she is amazing, and I trust her to do wonderful songs on time.
I 1st ordered very impulsively after seeing some reveals.
The advice I'd give new users is to learn about the process on you tube 1st. It is very easy, but knowing more about it, would have helped me be more at ease. :)
Buy the extra verse and factor in money to tip your artist well because you will probably be so thankful for the person! (I did not tip until I heard the song because if the song hadn't been good, I wouldn't have been able to use it.)
Also, if you can, factor in 5-7 extra days in case you want some words changed. I did not do this. (My bad- I did not know how much time you were supposed to give them!) Next time, I will.
The song was written beautifully on time. I just wanted minor changes. I wanted to use the song today which did not give them much time to make changes (only 2-3 days).
They DID it on time though to make it perfect!
Next time, I will factor in time better because I hate having to ask anyone to hurry and plus, it is not very nice.
These songs make excellent memorable gifts. I wish I knew how to directly thank Brettan and the exact people at customer support for making this such a fun, rewarding experience!

I have to say that I was hoping for the best but expecting little, my artist Amy delivered INCREDIBLE results, she wrote just a beautiful birthday song for my wife that brought her to tears. Amy used the detailed information that I provided about my wife and she took that information and wrote a very personal family masterpiece.

The company is not consistent with what it offers: worry-free GUARANTEE(as stated on site); tweak after song has been heard. I was asked to pay more money when I reached out and stated the artist did not deliver the "happy birthday" message in the song. Music chosen supposed to be happy, but the final song came out with depressing music. Words used were very elementary. Would not recommend this company for anyone who like originality and creativity.

Beware!! No money-back guarantee. I am a music instructor and was very unsatisfied with the song I received, and was not able to receive a refund or partial refund of ANY kind. It was very expensive as well. Definitely have buyer's remorse.

Worst experience. They didn't use anything on my notes. They skipped out my son's name and important information. They wrote lines like "i love you i need you' throughout the whole lyrics. Then they offered to change only 5 lines. The entire song is generic. The whole point is to customize it. A 5 year old could've written these lines. I'm so dissapointed and their customer service is not helpful at all.

This artist was asked to take my lyrics and add music and sing my lyrics and not rewrite my the song. She decided to add her own words and remove whole paragraphs totally destroyed what the story in the song was about. She made so many changes If I wanted her to write my song I wouldn't have sent in my lyrics. I sent my letter of disappointment to support. You give 48 hrs to make changes and 72 hrs for support to make things right. If she used my lyrics there would be no changes. She elects to rewrite my song and I have to pay to remove her lyrics.

I have used Songfinch in the past and was very happy. My mom died in June 2023 and I wrote an original song for her. I picked the artist and sent the lyrics to them. When I received my song I cried. It was butchered and made no sense. They removed some of my lyrics and moved some around. I was so upset. They ruined a song I wrote to be sung by a professional. When I contacted them by email, they don’t have a phone number. That alone is bad customer service. They said I could change 5 lines and send them back. It was impossible. They can’t help you, they are only on email. After over 10 back and forth emails, asking for a refund I was told no. I spent almost $400 and I can’t use my song. I believe they change lyrics to so they can own the song. I will never ever use them again and would never recommend them.

I had two songs made. One song by Bekah Brudi was fantastic. I played it at my Mom's 87th birthday and everyone loved it. The other one was horrible by Wyatt Cote. It was supposed to be a folk voice singer but he made it into a country song. And the lyrics were awful, they didn't have any rhyme or reason to them. This is an example:
"I've loved you since I was six years old
You taught me many things that I know
Like math and playing boardgames
We share life together one in the same."
Then when I wrote to the company they said they wouldn't fix it unless I paid all over again, minus a $50 voucher. Their guarantee was a lie.

I am getting married in May and was having a hard time finding a good father daughter song for our dance. I thought this would be a great way to surprise my dad at the wedding and put him in tears with beautiful emotion on my big day. The artist I picked had the perfect tone and melody for this song. Unfortunately the website is flawed in the fact that it limits the amount of words you can type when giving your vision or description of the song you want. There is no communication between you and the artist so if they have a hard time understanding your description they just have to make it up as best as they can. So needless to say my song sounded beautiful because my artist has a beautiful voice but there were no memories or any substance to the point of my song. It was a bunch of verses that didn't even make sense and didn't go together. When I reached out to the artist by finding her through social media and was able to explain to her exactly what I wanted she confessed that she also had a hard time writing my song because she didn't fully understand what I was wanting and she wanted it to be perfect. When Songfinch got word of this they immediately put a stop to her correcting the song. When you need to make edits to the song in songfinch you cannot edit whole sections nor can you edit just specific words. You only get five lines even if you only need one word edited in that line. This made it very difficult for me to make this song even somewhat salvageable to use at my wedding. They then said that I could spend another 60$ for five more edits which still would not make the song right. All in all I paid $286 + 60 for a song I can never use and just waisted all that money and an artists time all because this company is poorly set up. Not one single time was there a way for me to contact the artist during this process to discuss my vision nor was there any updates on even just a verse of the song prior to the completion. I highly do not recommend using this company they have terrible customer services and do not care about the quality of the products they are producing.

I was absolutely blown away by the beautiful song (story) that Shayan Ragen, my artist, assembled. The song made me cry and when I surprised my wife she cried. The song lyrics, melody, and tone were better than I had hoped. Songfinch customer support was amazing in their responsiveness and caring to get it right for my keepsake.
