I did my homework pretty well and listen to at least 50 artist before stopping my choice on B'Good.

I am really happy with my song, thank to him! He is a great artist and I would recommend. I was a little skeptical and anxious before receiving my song, but he nailed it.

I dont understand all the bad reviews, I think if you are investing time in chosing your artist carefully and in deciding of your content, you should be satisfied like me.
For those that says it is overprice I dont agree, I am not an expert but it is probably taking at least 3 to 4 hours to create a custom song like that and Songfinch are taking a quote on that. I'm gonna guess the artist make around 30$-35$ an hour. This is not made in China unfortunetly :)

Was nervous when i saw mixed reviews, but i think it's based off the artist you pick. Went through and listened to a lot of artist samples based off the genre i was looking for and ended up with Granville Automatic. Got a great catchy, witty & meaningful song as a gift to my husband for our 5 year anniversary with only a minor change. I received it pretty quickly and would recommend to others. Also search around for some promo codes that can help bring down your price. I didn't add the spotify link until later on, so don't feel like you need to do it right away.

I have purchased a song and while the music and artist were great, the lyrics lacked creativity. The customer support told me I could change 8 lines, 4 included and 4 at an extra charge. When I insisted I needed to change much more than that they agreed to allow me to send the full revised lyrics via email and redo the song. After doing that the song was perfect and I’m really happy with the outcome! Songfinch turned a bad experience into a great one, which I think they try to do for everyone as long as you express what’s wrong and insist on the issues.

It was a cool concept. The song was eh', it's like she read my preferences rather than trying to make sense or even rhyme. Overpriced, mediocre artist, I'm actually embarrassed to let anyone other than my husband hear it. I even paid extra for streaming, whatever that means. Would not recommend due to lack of quality and overpricing.

Update: Changing this from 2 stars to 4. After some back and forth with Songfinch, they did send me a code for a new artist and new song. This time around, I was very meticulous and specific about what I was looking for, and the artist nailed it. It turned out to be a belated Christmas gift, but I was so much happier with the revised song.

I understand that this is a small company, but I feel like something as personal as a song needs to have more option for feedback and help for the artist. I spent what I consider to be a lot of money on a gift that I wanted to be very special. I put thought into it and worked on it over several weeks. I tried to describe my preferred style of music. While I like the lyrics, I don’t love the song style, because it’s not remotely what I was hoping for, and it honestly sounds pretty cheesy, plain, and formulaic, like the artist just plugs lyrics into a song that has already been written.
Songfinch says they offer a “worry free guarantee”, but it comes with quite a few stipulations and a VERY limited ability to edit. What I walked away with is a gift that is ok, but not one that I love or find perfect. I can’t say I would highly recommend this company to others, but if you plan to purchase something, be as detailed as possible, thoroughly read the biographies of the artists that you select, and know that it comes with all kinds of fun little “upcharges”.

I had a song made and it was no where near what I was looking for. The first customer service representative told me I could change lines but I’m no songwriter. So I had chalked it up to a loss and wrote a bad review on here. Songfinch saw my review and reached out to me. They had another artist write a song for me and it is perfect. Songfinch turned a bad experience into a good one. Then, I became a repeat customer and ordered another song for someone else.

Their "worry-free guarantee" is false advertisement. They claim that you'll love your song and that they'll let you make revisions to the song to ensure you love it, but then say they can't make the changes you want.
Another thing - their customer service is great at responding, but I don't know if they actually read their emails. The emails I received as a response didn't answer my questions, concerns, nor did they help ease my mind with the concerns I had. The artist I chose took the details I provided and mixed them all up. So the song doesn't make sense because the details don't go together. My whole story is mixed up yet when I requested revisions I was told I can't. My solution was to simply re-arrange the lines that the artist wrote all mixed up in a way that they made sense, were true, and went with my story, but I was told I was re-writing the song THOUGH all I did was move the same exact lines the artist wrote around.

I do not love my song - I honestly hardly like it. This was not a pleasant experience for me, I do not recommend Songfinch and I am not gifting the song I got for my girlfriend. Sadly it was a waste of money as Songfinch is refusing their "worry-free, love it" guarantee.

12/14/23 Update: Songfinch allowed a couple of the revisions I requested. Two of the verses in the song are the exact same - I thought since the two verses are exactly the same, they would both be revised, but I was wrong. The artist only revised one of the verses instead of both of them. So now the two verses that were exactly the same are now different because the artist didn't change two words in one of the two verses. It's only two words, but it changed the whole meaning to my story/verse/song. Another thing, the artist took out a word or two in the revision I requested, so now the verse doesn't make sense whatsoever, AND the artist, Sam Rivers, rushed through the line so the line sounds like complete gibberish. As a talented singer and producer, he could have produced quality work but instead chose to speed through the line ruining not only that one verse but the whole song.

The revised parts don't blend smoothly with the previous parts of the song. You can hear a difference in the audio on the revised parts and the original.

So, unfortunately, I am not pleased whatsoever with my experience with Songfinch. I don't know if I chose the wrong artist, but the whole experience has been stressful, disappointing and disheartening. I am embarrassed to gift the song to the person it was intended to.

I sent a follow-up emailing explaining what's wrong with the revisions. Let's see if those revisions are revised yet again. If not, then great! They made $200 and the song is just going to sit there as I don't like it at all. Funny enough they're offering a second revision for an extra cost when the mistakes are on them. I would be crazy to pay extra for them to deliver what they promote they will.

The idea of a custom song sounds amazing, but the actual results... are disappointing. I do not recommend Songfinch unless you have $200 lying around willing to spend on a mediocre song of low quality that you may, or may not like.

I have written my own lyrics but am unable to transform it into a song. I wanted to ask the song writter from Songfinch to create the music, and if necessary take some liberty with the lyrics so the song is adapted to the music.
I have now paid for the song, thinking about 190 euros were a lot to add music but it was worth it. Plus I consider artists should be well compensated for. I now regret it. After payment, they present you new things you need to pay for if you want your song. I had no idea there would be only 2 verses if I did not pay extra. I should have done deeper research prior to paying. Still, as I had written 4 verses, I could not see myself having only 2, so I find myself tricked into paying for an extra verse. Same goes for all the extra things like putting the song on streaming platforms.
At that moment I realized it was not worth it. But it is too late. I already have paid them 189 euros and cannot get a refund. I am sorry for the artists on the platform, they deserve to be paid right, but I wish I knew the real costs sooner.

I also found myself laughing when I went to the cart to pay for 2 add-ons at 110 euros and saw they had written "Our Worry-Free Guarantee lets you revise your song so you love it, at ***no extra cost***.". At this price, I hope so... Yet, I do not know why but I feel like they will still find a reason for another cost.

Please, be very careful when going on this site to pay them a song and do a lot of research before. I am highly confident you will find better elsewhere.
On a last note: Please, consider the solution according to your needs, to how much you are ready to pay and also to the artists.

So.. I waited until Xmas to get a song done. Truthfully, we have friends that will do this (musically inclined), but chose you for the outstanding music you provide. One of your tabs does nicknames, but there's no option for a backstory anymore? Sucks, because that's why (and in your ad) I gave it a second thought. I guess I need to find a new gift now 😕

While I was looking to buy a item.. and didn’t use my so called discount “ Then sent text to me.. saying why did I make things difficult.. Well first of all you don’t text or right crap like that back .. I was interested in buying but now I’m thinking it’s a scam. I know no body is going to put me down that o don’t even know. Given the time sensitive nature and ask on the part of Songfinch it would seem there should be a faster way to engage with customer service for questions (e.g., live chat, phone, etc). Had I known it would be days and days between responses I would have opted for a different service or planned differently ahead of the occasion.

Absolutely the worst customer service EVER! Absolutely screwed by misleading items on their site. Would not even consider refund. Patronizing, hypocrites by saying how much they are concerned with customer service!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. THEY WILL NOT SPEAK WITH YOU. WASTED SOOO MUCH TIME WITH ENDLESS EMAILS. NEVER AGAIN. DONT USE THEM!!!

I had Maylyn write and record a song for my wife on our anniversary. We couldn't be happier, she listened to all the details, included the context I requested and turned into a beautiful, sweet tribute to my lovely wife.

I have had two experiences with Songfinch. I think it really depends on the artist. The costumer service is wretched. Like, SO BAD. They should take Costumer Service lessons from Rite-Aid. But first, the good.

1.5 years ago, I had a song written for my mother and it was perfect. I did not need costumer service. Thus, I accidentally became a return costumer.

This month, I have been attempting to have a song written for my daughter. The first was SO BAD, and no one cared. I asked for money back (ignored several times), changes (ignored several times), it was awful. Finally, I PAID AGAIN, wrote the freaking song MYSELF, and got it back. It was much better but had 4 edits (bad grammar, etc) and I took a while to get those.

Irate doesn't even begin to describe the level of frustration and disappointment I experienced with Songfinch's abysmal customer service. It's truly infuriating how they have handled my inquiries and concerns. I've encountered unresponsive and unhelpful staff, unresolved issues, and a complete lack of empathy for the problems I've faced with their services.

The utter disregard for their customers is not only disrespectful but also reflects a company that clearly prioritizes profits over customer satisfaction. It's disheartening to see a business treat its customers in such a shoddy manner, and I am absolutely livid about this experience. I wouldn't wish this level of frustration on anyone, and I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before engaging with Songfinch.

I paid for TWO SONGS, and I WROTE ONE OF THEM! And they ignore all issues. GO TO A DIFFERENT song-writing website.

Used this organisation to write a song. Rough draft of the song that was provided, doesn’t even match the lyrics I was sent. Advised I wanted the revisions to the song within 3 days. Revisions did not get amended and they apparently deleted the music files so cannot help me. Paid for the slideshow in addition to the song and did not complete as the song was never finished. Was looking to use their services again down the track but, will look to use an Australian based company instead. Just no customer service and they did not offer any acceptable solutions at all. Waste of money and was supposed to be something so special for my partner as we have been together just a short time. Had intentions to collaborate with Songfinch on another song in the future when our relationship had flourished with time. Really disappointed.

I wanted lyrics changed (the original didn't even rhyme) and the new version had horrible audio quality, and the artist (Jane from Texas) took all of the soul out of the vocals, like she was annoyed she had to re-record. Then they argued with me about it, meanwhile trying to solicit me to tip even though they had only made it worse. Then said "Jane no longer has access to the original vocal files for your song due to a corrupted software update" and that was their final excuse (I offered to send them my file and they said no).

They refused to refund my printable lyric add-on because it's "customized" but also refused to actually customize it because it's "standard formatting"; it's a wall of caps lock text with no formatting and periods, but for some reason commas and I just wanted the commas removed.

That's about 40% of the problems I had, there's no one checking if things are done right and they had to correct the same problems 3-4 times each because they kept missing things or doing it wrong. After paying them almost $400 followed by months of frustrating emails, the song sounds like it was recorded in a garage. And my add-ons are unusable, literally, even my Spotify add-on links me to a grayed out song listing that doesn't respond. I completely regret trusting their "100% satisfaction guarantee".

Edit: the passive-aggressive way they responded to mine and everyone's bad reviews is also how they respond in emails
