Ridiculous idling charges
Source London is a company which has no care for air pollution or the environment- they have a ridiculous “idle charging” fee which makes them a lot of money on drivers who don’t know - or leaves empty parking spaces on busy roads when they do. My opinion of them could not be worse.
Terrible process to sign up and pay
Terrible process to sign up and pay, why does it need all my details!! Which I could just tap and pay
Avoid Source London at all cost!
Had to give one star to write review, read as minus 10! I tried to charge my car for the first time today, tried to create account eventually tried the pay as you go - nothing worked - tried calling, cut off we’re busy, call back! They are a complete shower of rubbish. Avoid at all cost. Will throw card in the bin if it ever arrives and close any account.
I don’t know how these guys are in…
I don’t know how these guys are in business, you cant get through to them on the phone. Their admin is as useful as pedals on a wheelchair. Absolute disgrace, as if driving a hairdryer wasn’t irritating enough, try and charge it in a supposedly EV progressive capital, and you can’t.
Nice one guys.
Disaster company
How is this company not being investigated by the government!!
Fake charge's, plug cable , tap the card and after 3 hours it turns out the car did not charge and they changed you for £5 parking fee at 23:00 when it's already free
It's a scam disgusting company
SOURCE are the PITS
SOURCE are the PITS. Not only do their charging stations often just simply cut out - but their website wont allow you to log on to correct payment issues and change of a credit card. Their staff cant speak English ( I was having to speak in French today as the call centre is there and the l;ady was from the phillipines) and the charging unit at our office has been out of order for over a year now. When reported, they responded after 6 months to say they would deal with it - and 6 months later - its still out of order. I love my electric car - but may go back to a petrol after all of the hassle I have had. USELESS company. But tyey dont care as they have had one star forever - obviously they really want to improve their non -existent service!

Charged my car, took holding fee... Never got it back
Charged my car, took over 4weeks to get anywhere with regards to receiving my holding fee back.
Called their office and nobody could answer why it's taking this long.
Why should I call source over 5 times in the space of 4 weeks to get my holding deposit back!!!

Pointless, useless, feels like a scam
AVOID! I've tried three different charging points and all have been faulty. I was charged over £100 and received zero electricity, even though status on the app told me it was charging. I thought there might be an issue with my car, or that I was doing something wrong, but all my further attempts at other providers' charging points have been successful.
Try shell ubitricity or BP fast charging (expensive but at least it works) instead.
Source London customer service has been totally useless, insisting the problem is me (it's owned by Total - should have known!). I'm a recent convert to an EV, and rely on public chargepoints. They've lost a potential customer. Hopefully others will save themselves time and money by also taking their business elsewhere.

SLOW SLOW PEOPLE!
Why have councils agreed to allow these people to install their charging systems?! I applied for residential subscription a week ago and all now my document’s haven’t been approved or anything. Just paying extra 20p per kwh due to the slow pace these guys work at. Its absolutely unfair. I wish these guys were never the providers of charging in my area. To top it off once it finally gets approved, i’ll have to wait another what 7-10 days for my card to come through. Flipping slow people! Its as if one person is working in this company and that same person has to deliver the card themselves!

Criminals
Criminals - disgusting behaviour. Customer service is terrible and pricing structure with idle fees are absurd- not industry standard.
Very very expensive
Very expensive for kwh used and charges idle fees. Have used them once and never again. Goes completely against the idea of EV ownership.
Octopus covers Source London…
Anyone having problems with Source London could try the Octopus Electroverse card, which scores 4.8 on Trustpilot. It covers Source London, Shell, Ionity and several others.
Quite possibly the worst company and…
Quite possibly the worst company and the most frustrating charging experience EVERY SINGLE TIME. O absolutely hate it and would never use if I desperately didn't have to. Stations never work, card always breaks and it's hugely expensive.
Worst company ever!!!
Worst company ever!!!. I was charged £49, but the machine didn’t work. I called up, and they said I had to wait a few days for the refund. I was advised to go to another charging dock, which took another £49. I left it for a few hours only to come back to my vehicle, which did not charge but was billed for it. I tried to get through to customer service for technical support, but it didn't go through. and the online submission form doesn’t work either. Stay away from this company.
Awful company...no wonder all reviews so bad.
THE WORST EV CHARGING NETWORK. DO NOT USE.
Plugged car in, paid the £49 'authorisation fee', only to find that the charger was not working. Called Source London, the told me the charger was faulty but that I'd have to wait TWO WEEKS for the £49 to be returned.
Avoid Source London at all costs. Their prices are higher than everyone else and they operate a scandalous system that ensures all drivers are out of pocket for two weeks if they're unfortunate enough to use a Source London point.
Zero technical support…
Extraordinarily bad technical support services. Up to about 6 months ago, Source tech support were "on the button" - answered within a few rings 7 days a week (I think not necessarily 24/7 but at least 7 days a week during the day); solved problems on the spot.
Now ... goodness. The charger I use mostly has been offline for at least 4 days ("communication problem").
It was apparently reported 4 days ago and has still not been fixed or (just as bad) there is no update as to whether it has been looked at, what the problem seems to be, or when it might be fixed. But even getting to this stage of ignorance took a lot of effort!
Rang the first time I wanted to use it this (Sunday) morning. The tech support line has a recorded message: "All tech support are busy. Please renew your call" before cutting the line. "Renew"! Is this some further mangled business speak? Really they are just saying that they can't be bothered maintaining a tel queuing system. It means that, rather than knowing that your call will eventually be answered, or (even better) having an auto-call-back function, you just have to take a chance to call sometime when you can get through.
On the 5th attempt, instead of the recorded message I was diverted to Customer Service, who didn't even know whether tech support were working today. First I was told they are do not work on Sunday, next saying that they didn't know whether they were working on Sunday. Moreover there was (as it was Sunday) apparently no manager in Customer Service, so no one to ask who might know. Still less was there anyone who knew what the service standards for tech support were (eg how soon they aim (even just "aim") to get chargers back on line). Previously when I've had a problem the charger just needed a remote reset (what seemed like a push button operation by someone in tech support).
I have just seen the other dire reviews over the last 6 months, and now have no confidence in Total having committed to their Source London business - it has all the signs of an enterprise cutting back support, just as the press are reporting dropping of demand / increasing insurance for EVs. But this will then be a self-fulfilling prophesy. I no longer have any confidence that there'll be useful public EV charging infra in London if a single provider can seemingly so denude its service in 6 or so months. The Total (pun intended) lack of transparency from Source only adds to the concern.
Terrible company
Do not use this company. Charge you a ridiculous price for consumption and then charge a ridiculous amount for idle time spent. Use shell or ubitricty instead
Useless company
Joke of a company. Chargers on my street (Briscoe Road, SW19) have been out of action for over 2 months. Myself plus others locally depend on these (living in London without driveways public charge points are unfortunately essential) so this is a major issue. I have called Source around 5 times now, on each occasion I’m told this has been logged but they can’t give any updates beyond this. Nothing has changed, the issue seems no further on with no signs of these being fixed. Also now a complete waste of the two allocated spaces in an area where parking is a real challenge.
