Everyone I dealt with was friendly, polite and efficient. Everything was explained fully and carried out successfully.

Very straightforward procedure. All staff were friendly and professional, I was kept informed throughout the operation, given clear aftercare advice, and although it's only 3 days since the procedure the results are already very good (sharper distance vision than I can remember ever having).

I was sent to SpaMedica Birmingham by my optician for cataract surgery, I was apprehensive, but I need not have worried, excellent treatment from start to finish, explanations given every step of the way , appointment started right on time , and I was walking out the door less than one hour and thirty minutes . I will not be worried for my other eye to be treated..

I have had both eye cataract operations at the Sittingbourne SpaMedica. The reception desk staff are very welcoming and friendly. The clinical staff are proficient and take steps to explain the process. Illustrated pamphlets are also provided with explanatory notes. Altogether an excellent experience.

Spa Medica of a reasonable standard. The staff are all very pleasant and smiling but when I went into the operating theatre I did not have a very good experience. The operation was done by a trainee, I was not told that this was going to happen or warned and definitely not asked.
During the operation I heard the doctor saying distinctly in my ear, ‘Get that bit out’ then ‘ Put in more anesthetic’. It came as a bit of a shock and left me rather shaky. I was then told to go and sit in a cold corridor to wait for the discharge nurse. I think they are all very proficient but forget they are dealing with people.I will give them the benefit of the doubt I know new doctors have to get experience. Perhaps it was just a busy day.

Very satisfied with my Cataract surgery, surgeon was very excellent and very experienced, I am very next day without any pain or gritty, it was watery for short time but after that it is normal. Staff and nurses were professional.

Just wanted to say thank you very much to the staff at SpaMedica/Blackpool. I've just had my second operation there (thanks to the lovely Mr Sattar) and I can't praise them enough. They were all very efficient, kind and helpful. Highly recommended.

The stall were great they informed me of all the details I needed the op was good and I can see better now than when I wore glasses.I am waiting now to have my other eye done

The actual surgery was amazingly easy and totally painless and stress free everyone is just so relaxed and friendly
After lying down and being made comfortable the sterile sheet is put in place and then the light show begins
No pain just pretty dancing lights and cool sensations around the eye
To my surprise I actually enjoyed it and it was over very quickly
Then came the next morning when i walked to the bedroom window and had a massive shock For the first time in decades tge view in front of me was bright and clear a brand new beautiful world

My cataract surgery at Spa Medica Birmingham has been excellent from start to finish. My optician referred me there for NHS surgery and I only had a couple of months to wait for my op following my initial assessment at the hospital. The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional, from receptionists to nurses, to consultants and surgeons. Everything was explained to me very clearly on the day of my surgery and the op took less than half an hour. This was my first cataract op and I am not nearly as worried about the second as the staff put me at ease this week.

The whole team were all supportive and made sure I understand, an excellent support by the staffs.

I took my mum for a glaucoma referral. Her appointment was at 12.40pm. We left the building just before 5pm. In that time we probably spent about 45 minutes in tests or with the consultant. The rest of the time we waited in the corridor, at one point there was about 2 hours where nothing happened. All the staff were lovely but better organisation is needed to prevent quite elderly people waiting so long.

From arriving in reception to exiting after surgery the staff at at all stages were great and informed me what the procedure's were and reassured me that the process was quick and painless. On completion of surgery I sat up on the bed an exclaimed WOW, the fog has gone my eye has continued to improve I can now watch TV without glasses and read car number plate without glasses. I will be going again to remove the cataract for my other eye.

I had my cataract surgery a week ago. Against the advice of most friends and relatives I decided to have both eyes done at the same time using multi focal galaxy lenses. It took about 3 days to get a clear view and I am extremely happy with my decisions although it was not cheap. All staff at SpaMedica were very friendly and extremely professional with everything they did.5stars very well deserved.

The facilities, staff and treatment are all good.
Just a minor suggestion:
Because patients, more often than not, are told not to drive, they are reliant on families, friends or taxi services. For those who use public transport, it would help if Spamedica published details of nearest services, bus, train or metrolink tram. Plus details of the nearest landmark (EG Manchester the Spamedica centre is opposite the old St George's church) A map would also help.
