i love sparxx xx❤❤❤❤💕💕💕💕💕💋💋💋

this website makes me cry every single night without fail. and the fact that you cant complete your homework if you make a mistake. isn't learning about making one or two mistake s don't mistakes make you stronger. Like just because you changed the colour of your website does not mean you don't make us wanna smash my laptop in the wall the me run into the wall full speed. and the woman that speaks sound like a toad who smokes 50 packs of ciggs a day and she makes my ears bleed. And the vid that they provide you with is not even relevant or their work or it is 100 times easier. Also they owe me three ;laptops because every time I go on their website I throw my laptop across the room this is not a challenge in maths anymore it a challenge for my life.

i get it but come on

already left a sarcastic review, but on a real note, sparx is awful. most of the time, the videos aren’t even relevant and they tell you not to use a calculator for things that are far to complex to write out. i get the whole idea behind the book work checks, but realistically what’s the point if teachers don’t look at your homework anyway? all they do is look online to check you’ve completed it. every time i get sparx homework, i get 5% closer to smashing my head into a wall. it’s messed with my brain chemistry, and genuinely not even as a joke makes me cry and question why i am letting this happen to myself. i get the idea behind it but it’s just so awful and overall annoying like just because you changed the colours on your website doesn’t mean you have to give us 4 videos and practise questions to show how it works, it’s still the same. tears have been shed over sparx and i’m sure i’m not the only one

Sparx is the actual bane of my existence pls help

Sparx is the actual bane of my existence, the book checks, the fact you can't move onto another question until you get the correct answer, the videos linked that aren't even related to whatever dogshite maths equation the website pulled out it's cheeks. The way almost every math teacher I have had for start of YR 7 up until even in year 10 now has a breakdown when I don't complete 100% of my sparx even though its physically not possible for humans is insane like what sort of actual power does this website harness and why does it only affect maths teachers. And you don't even get a choice, you HAVE to complete a question to move onto another so if you get stuck on the first one for 20 minutes your screwed mate. Teachers say it'll take 20 minutes max when it actually takes me 3 working days to even conjure up the confidence needed for this newfound electronically charged tortur3 and then an extra 7 hours to even log into the website because its so wonky and slow and by time I log into it, Monday would have rolled around again and it's not even FINISHED. I get so angry too when I get like 80 bookmark codes within 3 minutes of even opening my browser. Like why do I need a laptop, WiFi, this website AND A BOOK to be able to even begin to battle what seems to he a monster capable of destroying enough of my brain cells that I can't make toast afterwards because of how fried my brain receptors are. More fried than the toast. Anyways MyMATH and Hegarty on top, bring these apps back for 2024 before I loose my sanity ✋️

Full of glitches and bugs

Full of glitches and bugs, and the difficulty is either very easy or extremely hard. Also the book work checks are very annoying. Finally, you have to watch a 2 minute video before every question, which is extremely annoying if you already know how to answer the question.

Bring Hegarty back pls I beg u

Hegarty(around 20 question max)>sparx(a whopping 48 question that take me at least 1 whole hour) and no I'm not the kind of guy that hates studying but of Hegarty worked to helped students why do u change it to make it more annoying because to be honest Hegarty was harder but with less questions and it was better mean while sparx is easier but it has a million annoying questions that I honestly think are put there to waste time btw If u are from harris battersea and u got computer science we got a booklet that had horrible grammar mistake and yes the booklet was about sparx.

Update:know they can answer to people and they got the decision of flagging almost every comment on sparxs.

Pd)English is not my 1 language so my writting is probably bad.

Pd 2) reading this post is really hilarious especially the 5 stars kys one and the "Mark Dixon made me give it a 5 star" is simple funny

Improve your website

I want to complete my gcses with good grades, but unfortunately that has proved to be impossible with this awful site in the picture. It destroys my motivation, I cry everytime I have to do it, and I mean panicky stress crying, which is nasty as hell and it's ridiculous that a website about MATHS does that to a person every single week.

Sparx is infamous in my school for being a horrendously crap maths website. There are too many problems with it.

First off, bookwork checks. Totally unnecessary, and incredibly annoying. Not only are they a massive inconvenience and a waste of time, not every school requires students to write down their work. How to resolve it? Either remove the feature completely, or edit it so that bookwork checks only occur if the teacher sets them.

Secondly, the fact that you have to get 100% to complete the homework is the crappest idea I have ever encountered. Do you see me getting 100% in every test, every piece of classwork, every piece of homework? No. No you don't. And so many students are getting into trouble because they COULDN'T get 100%. Which leads me onto my third point:
The videos.

They truly are useless. Not all of the time, but the predominant part. They simply aren't helpful in telling you how to complete questions.

If you insist on making students get 100%, I suggest adding a step by step feature, so when a student gets a question wrong twice, it gives them a step by step on how to complete THAT question. A huge part of why the videos are so useless is because they are extremely vague and don't show you how to answer the questions. Seriously, change this.

To every gcse student who truly wants to benefit their grades, I recommend cognito.

(Edit: Really sparx? It locked my homework, and won't let me access it unless I watch a pointless video (which I cannot skip nor speed up), then do maths questions, which were easy, until it gave me another pointlessly long and unskippable video. Ridiculous.)

Sparx needs to stop

Bloody hell. This might be the worst thing known to the UK population (except for James Corden), and there is no excuse.

If you thought Mathswatch was bad, then you are going to love Sparx. This has singlehandedly brought back my depression and I have been robbed of my youth and happiness. Never in my entire life have I been so disrespected. This website disgusts me.

You are forced to watch videos against your will and these workbook checks are giving me a headache. This is heinous. The people at Sparx need to stop being so pretentious and let me have a wrong answer. I truly think that applications such as Sparx is the reason for the decline in student mental health.

Surely there's one good thing about it though, right? WRONG! There is nothing good about this... Thing. Honestly, I don't think I can even lie and say that there is something good, I might spontaneously combust.

They got rid of the games :<

They got rid of the games for when you finished a topic. I am furious. That was the only good thing about the entire organisation, and if they do not return to the app, you will feel my wrath. You have been warned :(
