I dislike this horrible website because it is deathly boring and I hate the stupid book checks and it makes me want to cry at every failed attempt and the stupid purple flag- WHY IS IT PURPLE?

I genuinely hate Sparx Maths (and also Sparx Reader). It's extremely stressful and time consuming. Most of the time, Sparx will set you work that isn't even learnt at school. It's an awful thing and Hegarty Maths was much, much better.

this stupid website is TERRIBLE if you should RUN AND HIDE IF YOUR SCHOOL IS GOING TO USE THIS there is NO POINT in the book work checks as i know the answer so I DONT NEED TO WRITE IT DOWN

this website gives zero feedback on when you get an answer wrong, simply telling you to ask a teacher or watch the video. no wonder everyone cheats when you dont know if you got the answer wrong due to a rounding area?

This app is absolutely terrible. I am a parent of a child that uses this app for school and she often comes to me asking for help, as this app is bloody ridiculous to understand, I unfortunately cannot help her. I try and use different techniques, to which they're all apparently wrong, when I do everything I can think of I turn to my calculator. This app only accepts ONE answer. Which I find annoying as different people use/are taught different strategies. My daughter likes to learn on the go, but these ridiculous bookwork checks are terrible. How does this help your child? Does it help them remember? No. Does it make them tear their hair out? Yes. To improve this app, I would highly recommend to get rid of bookwork checks, and to give hints. The videos that are suggested to be used are not for everyone. People learn in different ways and these videos suggest the answer can only be found in one way, using on strategy. The videos, are teaching too fast, loading to much information on the child and too quickly. This app is terrible and gives the child too many questions. It's a ball-ache trying to figure these puzzles out. The app suggests that the question difficultly changes with how easily you can answer them but this just isn't right. My daughter is getting 4 wrong in a row and the difficultly stays the same. Please change this back to hegarty. Children deserve better.

I strongly dislike Sparx maths because when you get a question wrong, it doesn't tell you what to do differently but rather tells you to watch a video (which aren't of much use), do a different question or to ask your teacher for help. it also shows up as incomplete which in my opinion, doesn't make sense. The bookmark checks are very annoying and when you get one wrong, it asks you to redo that question which doesn't make any sense. A lot of people prefer hegarty and i wish my school did hegarty or something similar. Also, in my school, you have to get 100% to not get a detention.

This is the worst ever invention known to man! Too much homework!!!! Compared to my friend sparx maths has given me 3x more due to me going through quicker!!! Due to it also giving me harder ones how's that fair!! The amount of stress this causes its not worth it!!

in terms of torture I rate this a 10/10

its clunky it doesn't give hints that well and it smells kinda bad plus no darkmode 0/100 would not recommend

Sparx is great

This is the worst thing ever created. Our school started using sparx last year and it made me really stressed out and anxious because I didn't understand the homework and the videos didn't help. This is why students at school are unhappy and stressed because the teachers made a horrible decision to use sparx.

lets be honest the only reason why everyone is giving it one because of 2 reasons
1.it is homework and you have to do it
2.it is maths
i find sparx really helpful towards learning in school

This application is not good. I do not like it. The bookwork checks can't be turned off and are useless. Waste of money, waste of time. Mark dickinson.

Worst website for maths ever created, other websites like TT rockstars and my maths are far superior. It makes you write down and copy all of the questions even though you have to submit them online. To me it's a websites for teachers who are too lazy to teach the kids themselves and instead set them an 1 hours homework every week.

too long, too many question, bookwork checks are pointless, hegarty maths is clear

First bookwork checks are so annoying yes they my be helping us to work out the question but there just so useless second you don't finish the homework unless you answer all the question correctly thirdly it doesn't tell you we're you went wrong in a multiple choice question fourthly it makes the questions longer and harder the quicker you do it

I am actually going to write a serious review and say what everyone actually thinks. It is absolutely rubbish and draining, I mean even the smartest kids in my class believe that Sparx is bad which to me doesn’t sound like a good thing at all mr Dixon. Now Sparx in itself is alright HOWEVER, the reason it is so draining is because there are way too many questions I mean come on 5 pieces of work that have 3-6 pieces inside of them. Sparx is one of the many reasons students are always so drained in and out of school especially how this is meant for homework which may I need to remind you was once a punishment method. In all seriousness just put 3 sections AT LEAST. I hope you read this devs of Sparx becuase this is an honest review

This is the worst website i have EVER been made to use. Every time maths homework is set on here it makes me want to cry. To whoever made this website, I hate you please take it down. Disrespectfully, delete it. I would rather use anything but this website.
