Leyla -host- is a very welcoming, friendly and energetic host. She made the event more fun and enjoyable every time. I love going to speed dating events if she will be the host. She is amazing. The venue is nice and quiet but still not the best out there. The ladies are something else!

Sometimes emails end up in the spam folder or don't reach us for technical reasons beyond our control. You can check the matches in your user account without waiting for an email.

The Matchmakers don't do anything, instead forcing customers to use a extremely flawed system, felt like a SCAM!
I attended a Speed Dater event recently, looking to get away from dating sites for something more direct and straightforward. Their events on Eventbrite state...
"The day after your speed dating event you can log in to our secure website and click the 'matches' tab. You will find out who you mutually matched with and can get in touch again via our messaging system."
But it is anything but straightforward!
What it doesn't say is that all attendees are expected to sign up for their website and enter the matches themselves.
This requires your phone number, but the sign-up form will only accept it in the format "XXX XXX XXX XXX", so after multiple failed attempts I had to get their customer service team manually create my account.
After nearly a week of waiting for my matches, I find out that only 1 girl who is paying for membership had signed in to their website following the event.
Overall I feel scammed. I paid £24.30 and traveled to Nottingham for an event that started 30 minutes late, was told I'd get an email the next day which I never did, and struggled to sign up and use their flawed website, only to find nearly all of the girls didn't even get that far.
It's a flawed system at best and a scam at worst.
I was offered a refund or 2 free events, I chose the refund which was then refused on the grounds of low numbers, even though their events advertise 16-28 attendees and 17 people were present.

Cancelled event on the day!
Booked for a venue in Leeds. On the morning of the event recieved an email stating it had been cancelled. Seems like this isn't unusual. Offered a free ticket for another event but asked for a refund. Emailed me back offering me 2 free tickets. Again asked for a refund got email saying refund was sent and can take 10 days for refund, still no sign of the money in my account. This was my first and my last experience with SpeedDater.

We try to ensure that our events have an equal gender split and no less than 8 participants of the same gender. If the number of tickets sold is less or someone at the last moment refused and could not come, such an event is canceled and rescheduled. Therefore, sometimes it happens that several events are canceled in a row. We do our best to avoid such situations as much as possible.
The speed of transferring money to your bank account does not depend on us, but on the banking system, and it takes up to 10 business days.
Hope you give us another chance and visit one of our events!

SCAM
SCAM - forced to go on a 19.99 per month subscription. Website says you can cancel from website settings, you can't! Then I emailed admin asking to cancel, received some waffle response (as is always the case with scam companies) and find out they have gone ahead and updated the subscription.
Obviously this company is here to rip off the public, rather that provide a speed dating service. Why would anyone want to pay a subscription to speed dating anyway! Will be looking to take matters further

You are right, according to our rules, the next day after the event you should receive an email with a notification about the possibility to enter ticks. But sometimes, for technical reasons, such emails end up in the spam folder and you don't see them. You can view the entire list of participants and enter ticks on our website in your personal account. I tried to book an event online but it would not accept payment. I then called the helpline and had a very confused conversation with the operative. She would not explain why the website did not take payment but kept telling me I should go to 'Marketplace' to make the payment. There is no reference to this on the website. I suspect this is an attempt to scam my credit card details.
