Horrendous experience. My sale for a 2 bed flat took nearly 9 months, weeks without contact. Was charged £2400 for this conveyancing which was misleading. My estate agent commented this was a record length of time. Also found my case handler maria rude and actually quite aggressive.. when she was not off sick or on part time hours she was telling me my case was not being treated as a priority as I hadn't paid for that service. Never again

I have just completed the sale of my late fathers house using Spencer Lockwood. Their fixed price conveyancing was competitive.

However they were incredibly slow and unclear through out. I had to chase a lot and it felt like i had to do the majority of the work.

I had to chase repeatedly for updates. When the buyers solicitors posed questions, my agent just forwarded them to me, then forwarded my responses directly to them, ignoring my questions and queries. I had to investigate a lot of their questions myself and do the work to answer them, without assistance from Spencer Lockwood. Only when i ended up challenging my agent firmly did they start to engage a little bit.

Communications were not clear or timely.

They got the job done, but the agents i dealt definitely did not provide me with a good experience.

A tricky and long old process, but Ria Lakhani was unbelievably helpful and friendly. She provided support throughout the journey, and always advised next steps.
