This library is fantastic. I got inspired immediately upon loading a strings patch and couldn't leave my workstation for hours on. It is very cinematic, just like advertised. If you're looking for something more Orchestral, and realistic, I would suggest BBCSO or Abbey Road Two, but Colossus sounds just so incredibly powerful, I love it.
Sounds very good, although it is a very beefy plugin and usually takes a while to load.
Using the slider to transition between chamber and symphony is amazing. The Hype control is also incredible and can really thicken up the sound. While the orchestral sounds are great by themselves, the eDNA engine can help shape the sound into something truly unique. The Snakes of Russia synths are my favorite in Colossus.

Exactly what I was expecting from the library. Big epic sounds. Crisp strings with great undertones in the "hype feature". Wide dynamic range in everything. The synths are very unique and have a giant memorable sonic presence.
Absolutely top notch. Amazing sounds that would be very hard to create completely on your own. Great value at the intro sale price as well.

It is what you say it is. Great! A colleague connected me with Spitfire products per his excellent compositions. I am now moving it onto SSD which is crucial and anxious to put these great sounds to work. Very impressed!
Very powerful plug in. Wish it had some easier way to combine instruments.
Excellent sound, powerful and inspiring. It's a shame not to have a vocal patch, perhaps some drums and synthesizer sounds are left over in exchange for some choral sound. In any case, the concept and the quality of this library is great.
I've had lots of fun using Albion Colossus - and other Albion libraries - as external components for the generative AI software I have been developing. Albion Colossus provides large dynamic range just by itself, although there are still situations where I prefer e.g. Albion Tundra, Solstice and Neo. Evolution system by Spitfire was an inspiration for me to develop more and go even further, to program a generative AI which creates music using this kind of libraries, and also works as an assistant for composer. Albion libraries have been useful in this process, and after fairly short use, I expect a lot from Albion Colossus.
