good sound, but the playability in legato is weak, and it still lacks real portamento in the strings. In the Synth session I really miss an ADSR for better control
What can I say? I knew it would be amazing being from Spitfire. Even though I have many many libraries, this collection is everything I hoped for and it stands alone as a deep set of solutions. It is an invaluable tool set. Trust Spitfire!
The library is massive, The sounds can go from Subtle to bombastic using the right controls. For me to record multiple tracks - I had to upgrade my hardware to have 64GB of RAM. Strongly suggest you use SSD drives for where you store sample libraries your experience will be much better. This was yet another library that when it came out - I felt I had to buy it. The one area that I would ding it on - was the Guitars were distorted at the softest voicings - which to me was a bit disappointing - the other voices are very flexible.
This is a great addition to the Albion collection. the new Hype, Scale, and Depth controls, plus the ability to blend between two orchestra sizes, have tons of potential for composition. And the addition of guitars and synths to the mix really rounds out the package!
This is a great sounding library. It does require more computer resources than other Albion libraries. If I combine 2 or 3 patches from this library I start to get audio glitches and have to increase my buffers. I hope the library undergo some more optimization to keep the great sound while reducing the computer load.
i have always loved working on Spitfire's own plug-in format. I am so happy that they chose Albion in their own format. The library, just like other Albions, is grand & epic! So much character especially with the new functions of changing depth and energy!
