Passionately curated, this library transcends genre to give you everything you need to create modern cinematic scores. The breadth of instrumentation and alternative techniques that forms the nucleus of this composing toolkit is staggering. Inspired by our rich and varied musical heritage, Solstice is a wellspring of opportunities featuring strings, brass, and woodwind accompanied by unique instruments from nyckelharpa, Celtic fiddles, hurdy-gurdy, and modern synthesizers, percussion performances, and much more. This is not a library to create folk music with, but simply everything you need to create cinematic scores for today, inspired by the past.

If you want to take your orchestration to the extreme, then this will be one of your "must-have" go to library resources available at your disposal.

This is a awesome library of making Celt music and traditional Northern Europium music ,I have been watching the walkthrough videos for many times before I bought it. The strings part shows vitality and creativity when you’re playing them, it’s also very deferent with any normal orchestral strings ,it can make a deeper atmosphere just like no other! And I want to mention that choirs sound which is fantastic of any others I’ve ever heard. Mysterious and a little bit evil! The woodwinds and accordion can make a very traditional sound in a Celt music, which could be a better choice for making a main melody. The last thing is that percussion loops ,it’s the best way to make a song sounds like a traditional Celt song.if you don’t have any idea of making it,you just push those percussion loops ,you’ll get into it very soon!

This is my favorite Spitfire library so far. It's usable in a wide variety of styles and includes instruments and processing not normally found together in a single library. The re-release of AlbionOne, with the inclusion of the eDNA engine, was inspired. Solstice goes a step further, adding the EVO grid. So it's actually 3 completely different libraries in one. I love it.

Over the decades so many companies have expanded into so many libraries it's become too much. Composers have to simplify. So now I'm contracting all my overloaded choices of the past into simpler core groups. And Albion is a permanent part of my new core. Nice work everyone! Amin Bhatia, Composer

Great. Narrower focus for the user, but I think everyone will find their great sound.

Just a few tests to hear great sounds. That's enough for me to say it will work fine. The rest is mixer job.

Just starting to dive into this wonderful offering. It is very deep with many surprises all over. It sounds great and there are many passages to follow that lead to ideas I have never had before

Albion Solstice is a great step in a new direction for Spitfire. While I love SA's orchestral libraries for their quality, nowadays that market can seem so saturated and thus downplaying the announcement or release of another new orchestral or chamber strings library. Albion Solstice avoids this problem simply by doing something that has been seldomly attempted, and to my knowledge, has never been done with so much detail. Solstice is a completely new world of sound in my arsenal, the folk theme really bleeds through the patches and gives a less refined but arguably more emotional sound. While I think that some of the instruments could've been done better with solo patches, I know that's not the overall approach that albion takes. And while I do have some wishes that weren't quite met, you cannot argue with the sheer value of this library, you really have everything you need to get going. I'm glad spitfire took a step away from the classical orchestration and hope this is something we can expect more of. I'll be happy to support these moves into different directions of sound. Congratulations to SA!

An eclectic, evocative array of sounds for those that seek something a little bit different.

One of the most inspiring libraries Spitfire have created. Unfortunately all of the Cassette Orchestra in my version was broken in a very serious nasty way - very surprised this hadn't been spotted before release. However, support dealt with the problem very quickly and sent me a new batch of files which sorted everything. So, full marks to support. A one of a kind library you just can't help writing inspiring music with.

Albion Solstice extends far beyond the constraints of folk-based music. There is so much packed into this single product that it's difficult to choose what to highlight. Solstice encompasses a vast emotional range. From intimate acoustic material, to tension infused beats, to organic, electronic dreamscapes, Solstice delivers. The only limitation is your own imagination.
