Brand: Spitfire Audio

In partnership with BBC Studios and the world-famous BBC Symphony Orchestra, Spitfire Audio has captured what no other sample library has before: the musical synergy of a family of astoundingly accomplished players with over 90 years of heritage in performance and recording, expertly captured at London’s famous Maida Vale Studios — home of the BBCSO, and host to The Beatles, Hendrix and Bowie. Our most expansive and ambitious project to date, this landmark library is the stuff of composing dreams: strings, brass, woodwind and percussion, presented in our award-winning dedicated plugin. Core has been curated to offer a streamlined package, featuring essential instruments and the full range of articulations, with one mix signal — fully interchangeable with our Discover and Professional editions.

Fantastic instrumentation inspiring limitless creative focus and growth.

I'm not an expert composer or arranger, but the Core set of instruments immediately elevated my music to a surprisingly high (for me) level. I love the wide variety of voicings, which has enabled me to fine tune orchestration like never before. The tools are easy to use and intuitive, too.

I am a newbie to Spitfire, but I have decades of experience in the musical industry I am quite pleased with BBC SO Core, but I can only give it 4 stars right now The ins and outs of the features are not well documented, and I find myself doing an analysis of each of the techniques in combination with velocity, expression, and dynamic settings so that I know what to expect when I actually get to sit down and write music. If you are new to Spitfire Audio, the learning curve is a little steep Cheers

I think this is a very well done product and simple to install and enjoy at first glance. I would have liked an even simpler interface, but that's me striving for maximum simplicity.

A great orchestral vst.

great depth and emotion.

It's missing some instruments such as English Horn, but it sounds good.

I went from discover to core to get rid of the reverb when you put all the instruments together. I still have too much reverb with discover even though the sound is better. If I upgrade to Professional (I have to beg my dad) will I be able to control the reverb when all the instruments are put together? I watched the video tutorials on all the orchestras and you seem to emphasise the beauty of the acoustic on the individual instruments or ensembles but when I create my own ensembles with Discover I have a muddy sound.

What you need to get started and more. Would recommend this product to anybody that wants to get started in orchestral composing and programming. Delivers great mockups and actually brings me joy when using it

The sound is superb and the presented articulations are really functional. The only thing to consider is that there's no dry option. Thank you for your impressive work.

Comprehensive orchestra with lots of articulations and pristine quality recordings

BBCSO Core brings remarkable improvement in realism to classical digital music compositions. It works flawless both with DAWs and certain notation software like "Sibelius", and is definitely worth its price.

Just another orchestra library?… no. BBCSO is by far the greatest sounding library on the market and should be considered the standard for every other library from now on. BBCSO has entirely taken over my template for every new project.
