Since Im not really looking for combined instruments, or phrases, the BBC Orchestra pack is perfect. Just basic instruments, with a very good sound and some even up to 20 articulations. For what Im doing, the orchestra is mostly used for backing up a rock band and for this purpose the core edition is plenty to do everything I need. From very sweet, to really growling basses and tuba. As a rock and metal musician I love the sounds it can produce in great detail. Im so happy with my new library, it really taunts me to get the most out of every part.
A very impressive all-in-one library with all the orchestral sounds required. It was my first such purchase and I am quite happy. The only downside I've found is that I would like having some ability to adjust a general mic position (close-to-far) without having to buy the Pro edition with it's 600GB+ download but that is an otherwise minor complaint. The mix provided sounds very nice.
Superb! Well worth an upgrade from Discovery which I had used for many months, (amazing that it was free in the first place). The quality and articulations are wonderful and exploring them is a fascinating journey. The efforts that Spitfire go to to create these libraries and their ethics with respect to the balance between sharing and performer rights make them a unique and treasured company. Thank you Spitfire!

Honestly, this plugin is a door to a whole new world. The jump from BBCSO Discover to Core was way bigger than I expected. It sounds amazing; the texture of the instruments sounds very natural and warm; when you combine the sounds of each section, it just blows every other nki. or orchestra vst. out of the freaking water; it's easy to pick up the controls in the UI, especially compared to some other sample libraries that have a very unintuitive UI. Despite getting great deals, I think it's worth any price they could put on it. It really helps you develop an understanding of writing for orchestra and what each instrument is good at. Not only that, but it really does let your good ideas sound how they do in your head. Believe me when I say I know how hard it is when you have a beautiful idea in your mind but you don't have a good enough resource to turn it into that sound. This IS that resource, and it's astonishingly better than good enough. Thank you Spitfire! <3 Nate

Awesome, just Awesome. Very useable sounds, that because they were all recorded in the same room, sound cohesive when played together, and if you close your eyes, you could be sitting in that room listening to them play.
Very good expression controls and a big number of articulations makes it easy to create beautiful and realistic symphonic sounds. The best samples I have tried.
