It’s a very good orchestral piano, it has a great stereo image in any microphone set you choose and fits nicely in any large ensemble context. However if you try to use it as a solo piano for my taste it sounds too dark and boomy, expecially on close and hammers mics. Of course you can eq it to your taste, actually you can do even extreme eq and the sound quality stays perfect without revealing sound artifacts, like on a real piano multitrack recording. Howewer when doing that I get a noticeable “jump” in the higher midi velocity layer. I mean, it seems that there are a lot of layers for the dynamic ranges from ppp to mf where I don’t notice transitions but maybe only one layer for the f to fff which jumps in abruptly playing midi velocities over 100 or so. It’s something that in my opinion remains to be fixed, and that’s the only reason I gave only 3 stars, otherwise I would have given 5.
Doesn’t sound like in the video. The sound’s sample is the same but it sounds more muted, and it’s impossible to replicate it. Also dynamics are very poor. Not worth its price.
Good sound
sounds good, maybe works perfect for its own but together with piano core and symphonic core and without symphonic pro it freezes all the time if i switch from piano pro to e.g. cello core. Then cubase pro 15 crashes. I deinstalled piano pro again. Does not work for me.
Had very low expectations of this as every sampled piano I've used has sounded very poor. This is beautiful, the samples are wonderful.
BBC SO piano works as advertised. As a BBCSO owner, I thought that having something that fit right in and routed outputs the same way would be important, but for this project I wish I had bought the HZ piano. This piano is a touch dark and distant. Again, great for fitting in with BBCSO, but the client wanted something closer and brighter. HZ piano was pretty close in price and it was a toss up when I pulled the trigger on the purchase - really wish there was a way to return one in exchange for the other...I already have too many virtual pianos!
The tone sculpting that's possible with all the microphone layers is almost limitless it seems. I like that you can save mix presets within the plugin itself and recall those tones in other projects. I have the BBCSO Core and the two pair together very well. Having the option to add the sounds of the piano's mechanics is a really nice touch that adds soul and realism to performances. BBCSO Piano Pro is worth it.
Beautifully captured piano sounds with plenty of flexibility to alter the timbre and attack.
Amazing sound quality. Also very customizable! Been using It, and for now, I have no complaints. Only that - MAYBE - the sound may be a little low compared to the other tracks. It kinda gets overshadowed with other instruments. But that could be just my inexperience. It's an amazing VST! It was very worth It.

Nice piano, but dynamic is poor. In particular is imposible to play with smooth dynamics, as the samples are the same for MIDI velocity values of 1 and 20. This isn't desirable across the entire range, but in particular for the highest notes, in the 7th octave (highest frequencies). I never expect this problem on a piano of this Spitfire category.

TOP PIANO
Love it, used to use originals piano for all my piano scores, but this is the best. Lots of freedom to get creative with sound, love the velocity controls, mix options and design. Fantastic sound.

I loved it. It really sounds great, and combined with other equally good products, you get great results. Totally recommended
