Quality ‘workhorse’ library - sits clearly in the mix - beautifully recorded
Good, solid and does what it needs to do. Another great option from the Spitfire family of libraries.
Wonderful product - eery and atmospheric as expected. Only gets 4 stars because so many of the other Spitfire products I’ve bought are worthy of 5. Spitfire remains my favourite music software source.
I love the drama toolkits and the British Drama is another excellent example. The word "Toolkit" gets thrown around much too easily recently, but this library is worthy of that title. It's always inspiring when looking to fill long scenes with motion and emotion with a simple keypress. Plus the layers that can be piled together create wonderful sonic textures that are so unique, but at the same time familiar enough that they blend perfectly in dramatic visual storytelling.
Lots of useful stuff here, very expressive. Depending on the patch and how you play it you can get some really sweet and subtle non-linearities, e.g. breath in on the woodwinds and bow noise on the strings. Really I'm giving it 5 stars, only taking one away because I prefer the plug-in format rather than having to use Kontakt (which is undoubtedly brilliant but I've just never found the time to sit down and learn it properly).

First class product from a first class company that knows its onions. Great product
I felt in love with this library 4 years ago but hadn't the purchase to adquire it. Recently Spitfire had a wonderful 50% discount and I can say that my expectations have been more than satisfied. Not only for the quality of the sounds but also the realism that lets you just cheat people pretending that you are indeed making music with real musicians. Of course, there are similar libraries like Intimate Strings with similar sounds, but this one is more cameristic and this is exactly what I was looking for.
So far BDT found its way on my 5 latest tracks. It's perfect for ambience or intros (or outros) and make my workflow at least 3 times faster. I didn't give 5 stars just because I think the product could have included more content and presets. Looking forward for Spitfire to relase an upgrade or update.
The perfect intimate chamber sound.
The day i saw a Spitfire audio adds on Facebook, i though at first: ok another plugins company. But once i went to heard all these products, i felt in love. British drama have a special place cause as soon as the demo of the walkthrough started...i needed it!!!! All theses possibilities of textures, articulations etc, just brings us at the high sphere of creation. I live in a remote place but with an inspiring view (mountain and the bay)!!!! It's no more a drama it's a new era for me.
A lot of really useful and inspiring instruments - particuarly the woodwind. Exactly what I needed for a currrent score I'm working on!
What a useful instrument! Haven't even scratched the surface, but looking forward to bringing this into the workflow on a regular basis.
Good library for textures; combinations of instruments and ensembles are well thought of. The interface and controls could use some TLC. It's too small to read, and the layout and symbols could be more straight forward.
This library is 10/5 stars! One of the things that many general sample libraries are missing is emotion, this library is full of it. My absolute favorite strings!
