I don't know why, but every time I use this library I smile wistfully, tilt my head to the side, and seem to be able to free myself of any writer's block. Melodies, harmonies, and ideas simply just want to come and join the second I hit a key.
I love the added options I now have with this purchase.

As a working composer, the introduction to using Spitfire Audio library’s has change my work flow, creative fluidity and over all production value for the better in a rather dramatic fashion. No longer am I having to write to the strengths of the sample library’s as I once did and waste time trying to create realistic mock ups. Using spitfire eliminated that problem and I am instead able to compose freely and on instinct knowing that for the most part the samples are going to sound instantaneously great. Further more, this process allowed me to take on multiple projects and there for, everyone is a winner. Best wishes, Paul E. Francis

Instant score. What else? This is a movie library. Complex textures and dreamy harmonies are the basis for taking inspiration. Accompanied by an intimate piano, it is a collection of sounds that I recommend to all those who seek a way to compose their own ideas, when there is a need for a different mood than usual. Original and exclusive. 5 stars!
I purchased BDT as part of a particularly challenging film project that I recently completed. Halfway into the project, we hit a bit of a creative dead end as a result of some negative feedback and budget problems, which limited the use of live performers for the score - but having heard demos of BDT, I suggested that it might be the tool for the job. Never have I been so impressed by a library so fast - it was exactly the tool that myself and the director were looking for. While the ensemble patches were a bit too much for our specific project, we ended up relying heavily on the cello-specific patches, in combination with live recordings, to add the final touches to our score (with very positive results). By our final group feedback session, listeners were convinced that the entire score was recorded with live performers and were impressed with the unique techniques displayed by the samples that we used. I can't imagine finishing this score without BDT and would highly recommend it to anybody looking for a highly convincing live sound, with a blend of traditional and contemporary techniques. As far as I am concerned, it is one of my absolute favourite libraries and can see myself using this over and over again in the future.
Easy to get a great background ambience compared with other libraries. I like the velocity level switching to create different textures and tones. Small size and good price.
I never found a so inspirinful library that fits so well with my composition process. There are two side in BDT. The side of a great outstanding and high level work behind it and the side of ever-evolving harmonic and melodic features that it gives to the composer. Last but not least, the delicious typical British mood that is ever so close to my personal style. I use to be very careful before buy a library, I buy only libraries that really can help my work, I'm not a compulsive buyer or a collector, just only essential tools stay in my music weaponery.
I like this tool and I want to love it- I think it can be saved. Definitely need someway to control the volume of the three layers. I realize you can put them on three different tracks with 3 instances but that is tedious. My biggest problem is I love the top line [Strings]- it would be a game changer if Spitfire included them as individual instruments {with CC volume control} as separate entities . I realize what the intent was, but to my ear I would use the top line in strings as a stand alone- it has a great folksy quality to it. Perhaps in an update? Just for the record I am a huge spitfire fan

A very niche-sounding, form-fitting product that counteracts the intensity of larger products without sacrificing any of its articulateness.
Good mix of instrumentation, inspiring sounds- would be great to include more control over instrumentation and expression.
I cannot recommend this library enough! It integrates beautifully with the Ólafur Arnalds libraries, but above all, it is extremely inspiring and lets you create complex soundscapes from scratch within minutes. The handling and interface is super-intuitive, and the concept of velocity-based triggering of instruments takes you right from improvisation to composition and/or orchestration. A great time saver and one of my favourite creative tools!
