Our highly acclaimed Violin (Virtuoso) Total Performance instrument is now available to purchase as a single patch in its own Kontakt Player library. Our most detailed and advanced solo violin to date has been performed by world-renowned virtuoso concert violinist Jack Liebeck in The Hall at AIR Studios. It contains all of the techniques you need to create an ultra realistic solo performance, including five different types of true legato — fingered legato, bowed legato and portamento legato, runs and arpeggios. It also features spiccato, staccato, tremolo, trills, molto vibrato, progressive vibrato and non vibrato — all combined together to enable musical phrasing without the need for key-switching, and programmed to react to playing speed and touch. Easy to play and intuitive, it allows you to focus entirely on your composition, without the need to ‘stitch’ together performances. This patch can also be found in our renowned Spitfire Solo Strings library.

Hands down the best Solo Violin Library I've ever had, not only for the way articulations work for this instrument, but the emotion you hear from each note/semi-note is grandiose and beautiful. Highly recommended if you wasted a lot of time and resources finding the perfect violin library like yours truly.

Super fun to play with. I’m able to write pieces I’ve wanted to write when I was younger but actually sound good doing them haha

In comparison to bohemian violin (which I own) by virharmonic, it is an incredibly basic vst violin. Although its sound is decent and playability quite good, it is in serious need of articulations. I guess that's why it's so much cheaper than the bohemian violin, but musicians are willing to pay for extra quality. I would recommend that you develop the solo violin to be an instrument that can compete with its competitors in way of articulation and sound. I would pay more for it.

This is my first purchase from SA. I love the sound so much....only one request, please give option to have long note without bow change, it is really annoying for slow tempo song...I need it so badly, please update SA, thank you!

This is truly an epic solo violin that makes your composition coming to life! The amount of control that I have over the several techniques that the violin has it's superb! Well done spitfire!

I've already used this fine instrument in my compositions. It is an excellent addition to my BBCSO collection.

Excellent sound and programming. This patch makes playing this solo violin much more like playing an actual instrument. Bought the solo cello too after playing with this for a day or two. If they release a performance patch for the viola and Bass, they will be an instant purchase by me. I wish every string section in BBC had a performance patch like this. Makes it seem like such a chore going back to individual articulations on separate tracks after using this for a while. The only 1 criticism from me is the prerecorded bow change on sustained notes. It would be amazing if this was somehow intelligently time synced to tempo for more pleasing results. Other than that, very enjoyable to play in parts live.

The sound quality and the play-ability are what stand out for me. I've got the BBCSO orchestral base product from Spitfire but wanted a clearer solo instrument to play a few tunes, immediately on opening the VST the sounds was spot on. I can't really play a keyboard, I certainly can't play a violin, but the way the software automatically switches between the articulations is amazing, giving the right style of playing based on the notes you feed it. Smash some notes in, a few minutes tinkering with the Midi and we're done! I really want to thank the people who actually played the Violin/s on this recording, you have such a skill it's a joy to listen to.

Best sounding violin I’ve ever owned! Get it!

Very good sound quality but a big problem is that it is not possible to adjust the bowing of the soloist. This means very uncomfortable bowing transitions which do not fit the tempo of the piece at all. This is why I cannot recommend this product.
