Product details

Brand: Spitfire Audio

Spitfire Studio Strings marks the first release of a vital all-new Spitfire Orchestra range. Our ambition was to create an incredibly versatile pro-end dry stage sample library. By choosing the crisp and vibrant setting of AIR Studio One, a smaller, more controllable space than the opulent Lyndhurst Hall, we offer our fellow composers a string library with depth, detail and focus all at once. One that will work on anything from passionate period dramas to modern Scandi noir. It’s a fit for quirky indie and crisp pop, but can also tackle epic film and game scores.

Have been looking to buy a dry and versatile string library for some time (particularly with some great shorts) - very happy with this purchase.

I am at some try / comparison level, there is a "life" feel that Ii didn't encountered before, the recordings of the instruments is enough convincing to redo recordings I have done by the past . I have done the whole VST expressions on either of my fav daws, it toke times, may be someday Spitfire will produce their own player that can be better than use 3 instance of kontakt for one section...

This library blew me away. Tons of articulations and a fantstic sound!

How to build a time machine: Make a multi with the violin, Viola, cello & bass sections, drop the cello & basses an octave... add a little reverb, play some nice pad chords.... next thing you know it’s daft o’clock in the morning and you’re wondering where your evening went! That’s what happened to me anyway.. Phenomenal library!

Excellent bookstore, I just miss patchings in the ensemble format!

I absolutely love this product more than I thought I would. I watched the videos and was intrigued but a little skeptical about a 'dry' library. I went out on a limb and made the purchase and boy am I glad I did. I can make these strings sound big or small. I can add the largeness that's characteristic of bigger halls but had I purchased a library that was recorded in such a hall, removing that 'largeness' would be impossible. I feel like I can squeeze so much character out of these sounds... and the software within which they run is both user friendly and sophisticated. I haven't figured it all our yet but that's half the fun. Price point is crazy good. I'm glad I bought them before they change their minds!

While fairly new to this kind of writing, the Spitfire Studio Strings sound great. Very realistic and easy to navigate articulations. Great customer service, tutorials & vlogs. Highly recommended.

I am very pleased! Great Articulations and great Legato patches!

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Unlike other spitfire products, it has quite dry sound which means there are more possibilities for investing tones. Great and flawless legato but a little inconvenient for trem sound, but still acceptable. It would be awesome if you blending with other string product for orchestration. Overall, spitfire made great string vst again and totally recommend for classical or some kind of ballad composers.

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Almost what I would always wish for a more dry spitfire orchestral line-EXCEPT that there are no staccato articulations, and the legato performance engine is completely abandoned! So it was i little dissapointment
