means yet another high quality installation.

One internal glass door and frame installed last year; excellent craftsmanship, so used again this year for a new front door, surround and porch. Spittlywood gave us minimum disturbance, they were courteous, quick and efficient. At the end the area was left clean and tidy with rubbish removed. Steve Spitty responded quickly to my request for a quote, which was competitive, and the order process and the arrangements for the installation of a very large picture window and frame in oak were carried out very well. The installation went as planned and the new window looks outstanding!

I was as a painter & Decorator working on the outside of next door property, when 2 men from Spittlywood arrived to remove the old weatherboard from that property.
The weatherboard arrived already primed from the works, which was impressive for a start. The whole operation was conducted quickly and efficiently in 4 days, including replacing R/W down pipes and lines to the house. All waste was cleared from the site. Full marks !!

We were absolutely delighted with every aspect of our experience with Spittlywood. There was no over the top sales pitch, just an obvious and deep knowledge of working with wood, a detailed quote and help to get what we wanted. We had an opportunity to see the quality of previous work and the installation of our doors was carried out with no fuss but great attention to detail. Stephen Spitty is the company director of Spittlywood and came out personally to make out the estimate.
Once agreed, he built my new windows to a high quality finish using Accoya. Its modified timber in which a process called acetylation, a cutting-edge patented technology, enables it to resist rot, staying strong for decades. Guaranteed for 50 years above ground and 25 years in ground or freshwater. He asked me to come in to view them at any time to give me peace of mind that I was in control of obtaining exactly what I required. He even sent back the glass to Pilkingtons, as he wasn’t happy until they had sent him faultless glass to install. He even changed the screws in the window furniture for better quality ones. When complete, he arrived on site on time with four workers, all wearing company tee shirts and acted professionally. I even noticed that all their equipment were quality tools from the Makita range.
They put my mind at rest answering any questions I had at any time and even took off their shoes when entering my house.
Once finished and my windows were installed, they didn’t finish there. Instead they ensured that all carpets were vacuumed, even though they had placed dust sheets down and all rubbish outside was spotlessly cleaned away. They painted the surrounds to the windows to allow all the new windows to blend in with the existing woodwork. The painting wasn’t rushed and put on well using good quality paint.
Stephen is professional, a perfectionist and of course this is the type of person anyone would want to work on their house.

We were lucky enough to have built in book shelves created and installed by Spittlywood. It was an amazing job by Steve of Spittlywood, he is such a perfectionist, the shelves were custom made to our spec in beautiful oak. The project was carefully planned and when the work took place it was done with care and minimal mess. The extra space the shelves have given us is great but it also looks like a quality piece of furniture. I would highly recommend Spittlywood.

Spittlywood did an outstanding set of wooden windows for me in my property in Maidstone and i would highly recommend them to anyone.

We have small newbuild property development company called QNEWHOMES LTD. I have been using Steve and Spittlywood for around 3 years. I have found him to be very straight forward and prompt with all correspondence and work. In that time he has completed 8 completely different timber staircases that all required a little head scratching to design. Steve is a pleasure to work with. He completes all his work on time and has never come to me with a price increase or extra cost, completing all work as per his quotes. In addition to multiple staircase he has also completed some high-quality bespoke furniture pieces for use in show homes. I intend to Spittlywood more in the future. Your carpenter attended my flat today to carry out a difficult little job namely replacing hinges and making good to a door, then fitting draught/sound stripping. He was very professional, polite and even vacuumed up after himself. very good highly recommended
