Honestly, I was shocked at how good the quality of the retainer was. The customer service has been excellent and I would have no qualms about buying from them! Do not hesitate!

The imprints were fairly easy to make. (I’d still get extra trays and putty because it did take me a second time to get it right) The retainers are really comfortable. I had ones made by my doctor before and they were way “bigger” and more uncomfortable. I’d definitely recommend these to my friends!

I can't evaluate their retainer because I can't get past the SLOW step of having impressions approved before you send them. They send a terrible email telling you not to email them again or you will get pushed to the Bottom of the line.
So sorry I went with this company. Pick any other company, it has to be better.

Concern for today, I ordered a replacement retainer and ordered first site listed. I then found additional offers at cheaper price that what I ordered the retainer for- sent message to customer service. I'm sure they will fix it because they were so receptive last time.

Getting a replacement pair of retainers from my orthodontist was going to cost me over $300. I found sporting smiles and ordered a pair for half the price. The process was so simple, easy and quick. The materials are very sturdy and thick. I grind my teeth at night and I see no bite marks or wear or tear in my retainers. I actually ordered a second pair because I was so happy with the product.
Some of the best customer service I've experienced from a company. Every Sporting Smiles employee I've spoken to was friendly, patient, and professional in helping with my retainer purchases.
Great and reliable customer service. A cheap alternative to getting retainers from my dentist office. And it’s not “you get what you pay for”, I pay less for great quality. I’ve ordered so many times and I recommend them to every body.
I been using them since 2022. For the past 3 years, and past 3 orders, they are super slow. They been "remodeling" for the past 3 years.....
They must have gotten new management or something. I used them in the past and had no problems but recently they are slow with communication, don't accept any of my impressions, and won't allow half an order. I've been trying to get retainers made now for like for months because they take so long to get back to me.
Worst customer service. They took my money and I received nothing. Their business hours are not conducive to working adults on the West coast. They refuse to respond to complaint emails. I’m out $90 for 6-month retainer subscription not received. When I complain it was processing yet paid over 30 days, they marked it complete.
I’m very happy to have found SportingSmiles for my night guards as they’re far less expensive than ordering from the dentist office and they’re much stronger. My insurance allowed for one night (mouth) guard per lifetime, then paid out of pocket ($300-$500) per guard, and I would bite/grind through them in a matter of months. The hardest option from SportingSmiles is still soft and flexible enough to be comfortable, and I love the back cut option so all teeth don’t need to be covered by the guard. Far more comfortable than any other I’ve tried before. They do have a reorder subscription, but is (only) available at 6 month interval. The product is so great, I don’t really need to replace until one year mark or later. It takes quite some time for discoloration as is easy to clean.
Customer service has always been helpful and responsive when needed. I struggled a bit with making my own impressions but support team was quick to assist. Now, my 3D impressions are saved on file for life, making the process even easier,
Paid over 160+ for none of my impressions to be accepted (I tried several times!). Their suggestion was to go to a dentist and have them do my impressions, which completely defeats the purpose of this service. When I just requested a refund, they told me to send back the materials used and that they could issue a partial refund. I sent back the materials and NEVER RECEIVED THE REFUND. I cannot recommend them less.
Never trust this company! They are a scam. The impressions have plastic parts sticking out so you will never get it right. Then they pretend it's your fault and sell you the option to try again and again ... But you will never succeed. They hate their 'customers' (whoever is stupid enough to trust them)
I paid extra to keep my impressions on file, with zero mention of any expiration at the time of purchase. A year later I get an email threatening to destroy them unless I buy something by April 30th. Manufactured urgency to force a purchase is a scammy practice and a terrible way to treat customers.
Update: A manager reached out to follow up on this review. We went back and forth and there was at least some acknowledgment of the issue, though real accountability was lacking. He then offered me a promo code and never followed up on it. Haha, says a lot.
Communication was great, price was great as well! But I suppose you get what you pay for.
Thought I’d save a few hundred bucks getting a replacement retainer from Sporting Smiles. Ordered an upper retainer only. Took multiple impressions and emailed photos before mailing for approval. Got the OK & sent it in.
Took several weeks, but finally received my new retainer. Starting using it and now my bite is horribly misaligned and my molars do not touch! So I literally cannot chew properly.
Tried saving a few hundred bucks, but now have to shell out another $5k to Invisalign to fix my bite that this retainer ruined.
Thanks, Sporting Smiles! :D
"100% Satisfaction Guarantee" is marketing, not policy
I ordered custom retainers from my own molds in May 2025 ($157.50). They cracked in half after about five months of normal nightly use. Their website says retainers can "last up to five years" and are made from "the highest quality material available." Mine lasted roughly 8% of that.
When I contacted them, they blamed user error — grinding, improper cleaning, improper removal — with zero evidence I did any of those things. A retainer splitting in half during routine use is a material defect, not a mystery to speculate about.
Their resolution? A 35% coupon — the same promotional discount they offer everyone. Their Satisfaction Guarantee page promises to "remake the product or come up with a solution that works for both parties." Asking me to pay more for another product that might fail just as fast is not that.
Their warranty language is also designed to confuse — a 90-day "Perfect Fit Warranty" and a 6-month refund window on the same page, giving them room to deny claims under either timeline depending on what's convenient.
I escalated in writing. They never responded. I had to resolve this through my credit card company, who reimbursed me in full — which tells you everything about who was right here.
If your order arrives fine, you'll probably be happy. But if something breaks, expect blame-shifting, a generic coupon, and silence when you push back.
Its the best quality and service. The only product out there that work. Staff and customer service are five star!
I ordered my mouthguard from SportingSmiles and I had the pleasure of dealing with Shellenna, Katrina and Jessica so that I did the easy process correctly and they were very helpful and prompt in responding to my concerns. Good people to do business with.
It took a few attempts to get the impressions right so be prepared for delays, but once the impressions were approved I was happy with my retainers and saved money. Customer service was great. Highly recommend.
4/5. They are legit, offer a good quality product, and customer support is very responsive (thanks Leanne!) However, their ordering system could use some improvement. It was unclear how to upload my STL files, and eventually involved sending customer support a Google Drive share link(!) My retainers took a full month to finally arrive, but I was happy with them when they did.
