Poor customer service - untrustworthy

This bank is fine for small, basic domestic needs, but is poorly staffed, has awful customer service that is driven by cut and paste, impersonal responses, unhelpful, unsympathetic and patronising replies, and they are unable to handle simple international transfers. Their app is limited and if you lose your phone or are network there is no Web option and they will simply advise you to wait until you get your phone back.

They lost money that I was trying to transfer to a company in Italy, blamed me because I couldn't provide evidence that the bank account detail and the website were linked or provide the address of the business owner, wouldn't open a complaint for a week and was more than ready to close my account rather than resolve the issue and return my money.

The bank is untrustworthy, ill-staffed, unfriendly and inadequate.

Great account to use on your yravels

Being able to use my account abroad allows me to carry less cash.
Making exchange of services easier.
Very good rate of exchange on the account better than bank and hotels.

Best bank that i have used

Best bank that i have used. Great things like spacers to create special pots of money, good interest rates on savings and great to have both a business and personal account - allows money to be quickly transferred.

No issues with lost debit card

I've had no trouble at all I lost my card twice, and it was replaced swiftly no issues. Other than that no problems at all

Never had a negative experience.

Everytime I've needed more than just typical banking, Starling has had options and answers when I contact them. For me? Ive never had a negative experience using Starling.

Reliable and innovative
