Learning from pros is invaluable
The knowledge and input I receive from the team at startups.com regarding not just capital raise but the continued growth of our company has been great! I am confident that our adventure together as part of my team fill help me meet my goals and objectives.
Great platform for founders
All kinds of founders willing to commiserate, strategize and share. Startups also has connections to investors and potential mentors and advisors. Great networking and learning platform.
⚠️ Warning: Concerns over transparency and "honeypot" tactics
This is my repeated attempt to share my experience, as previous feedback has been consistently contested. I believe potential clients deserve a transparent look at the business model.
The "Honeypot" & Carrot Dangling: The process feels designed as a "honeypot"—luring you in with the promise of investor access, followed by consistent "carrot dangling." I experienced a cycle of bread-crumbing and shifting milestones that seemed designed to build dependency rather than deliver results.
Verification of Claims: I found the case studies presented on the website to be highly questionable. I strongly advise anyone considering this service to demand independent, third-party verification of their "recently funded" projects. In my view, the investor list provided is significantly outdated and lacked the "top-tier" quality advertised.
Summary: While some individual advisors are talented, the leadership's focus on "games" and the lack of updated resources made the pitch deck course a waste of time and money for me.
My Advice: Don't take their word for it or ignore any "red flags." Verify every claim or look elsewhere.
Ed and other advisors were very kind…
Ed and other advisors were very kind and full of knowledge to teach new founders like me. And the community also help each others and connect so it was a great experience
Interactivity is King
My number 1 reason is the interactivity of the workshops. Number 2 would be how useful they are as well; my startup has made huge strides in how fundable it may be.

A True Partner for Founders
As a founder running two very different ventures:
- Bramble Tech (a startup consultancy helping founders scale smarter)
- After Echo (an AI-driven digital legacy platform)
I’ve found Startups.com to be an invaluable partner. The platform doesn’t just offer resources; it creates clarity. For Bramble Tech, Startups.com has been instrumental in connecting us with the right founders, helping us validate ideas quickly, and giving us a community that understands the scrappy, systems-driven approach we bring to scaling.
For After Echo, which sits at the intersection of AI, ethics, and human legacy, their tools and network have given us confidence that we’re building in the right direction, both technically and emotionally.
What makes Startups.com stand out is the blend of practical guidance, founder-first workshops, and a community where real conversations happen. Instead of “one-size-fits-all” advice, they’ve helped us align strategy to our unique needs. The impact is measurable: faster traction, clearer roadmaps, and stronger confidence in our launches.
If you’re a founder who wants more than theory, if you want actionable support that actually moves the needle then Startups.com is where you’ll find it.
It’s been a great experience
It’s been a great experience! Jeb has been an outstanding resource, always available with guidance and support. Ed Kang is incredibly knowledgeable about pitching and brings real clarity to the process. I’ve also really enjoyed the breakout groups with other founders—those sessions are both fun and valuable. What stands out most is that everyone on the platform feels like a true resource, genuinely dedicated to my success. Highly recommend Startups.com!
Thought I’d give it a try
Thought I’d give it a try, the knowledge and system appeared to be resourceful. The people are really nice. Unfortunately, you pay for “materials and resources” but you do everything. Adjust your schedule to theirs, match you pitch deck on manual review to be more correct for the “AI” investor matching, and you have to basically cold email the investors so conversion rate is really low. You have to prove the money back guarantee if you want to cancel early. I unfortunately had a baby, missed the date by one day (31 days) and they wouldn’t honor it (no human touch here). I also wanted to stop the renewal for next month fee as it was pending and they declined.. so I get another month of services I don’t want. It’s not a scam but mostly advisory, info, clubs that you can dedicate time to educate yourself while reaching out yourself to investors. What really made me question the system was two things my intake form was literally a word doc with poor formatting, and that the advisor needed to review the pitch decks to ensure you match their AI. For $300/m or even 2.5k/yr it should do a lot more thinking for you (reminders on billing, transparency on what AI matching needs, professionally formatted forms. I’ll give up on my $600 refund.. you can have this review and never get a customer out of me again.
Very helpful advisors!
My experience has been great. Really helpful advisors and great events. It's a great fit for those of us who don't need a true accelerator that only lasts a few weeks. I love the LinkedIn posting party and wish there were 2 per week!
Good Stuff
In a word, my experience with Startups has been an "awakening." I have learned so much here that I did not already know -- a rarity given how long I have been in IT! I have been otherwise occupied, only because I am busy getting my main income stream (re-) established. Given that, I will be able to bootstrap the fun project I have been learning so much about, here!

This place, to put it lightly, has been a God send to me. I've been making connections, talking to people I never would have thought I could have access to on a professional level, and there is so much knowledge packed into this site.
My time here has just been so well spent.

Don't Hesitate - Sign Up and Get Access to the Brain Trust!
If you're having doubts about signing up, don't!
As a cautious founder, I hesitantly joined but I needn't have worried. The wealth of knowledge and experience in the senior folks here have made me rethink my approach, helped me hone my pitch deck and have given me so many new ideas that it takes a while to digest everything. It really is like taking a drink of water from a fire hose as there is so much content, advice and guidance to help you. And trust me, when you have your newly-formed gem of an idea that you want to see grow into a solid business, you will need all the help you can get.
Wil, Ed, Ryan - they've got the battle scars and can help to make sure you don't hit the same problems a new founder can and will run into.
This community can help me achieve my aims, of that I am sure. I'm buzzing with anticipation and a little trepidation of what lies ahead but knowing this community will be there to help will make it less stressful. The best investment you will make in yourself and your business idea!
Startups.com = priceless
Startups has been in integral part of my journey as a founder. I once heard a story of an entrepreneur who paid $2M for a lunch with Warren Buffet. The knowledge he gained from that lunch gave him a path to exponentially grow his net worth. This is what you get with Startups. At a $200 per month price point, you are able to have 1:1 conversations with founders who have been there, done that, many times over. Why waste years reinventing the wheel and losing money along the way, when you can just get a direct download from those who already paved the way? It’s been priceless. Working with Wil & Ed has been an amazing experience. It’s given me the confidence to show up as a founder who believes in himself and in the mission. This is priceless. 100% would recommend! There’s much more than just the conversations with the advisors, hands on lessons across fundraising, creating a pitch deck, GTM, branding, AI implementation, finding cofounders…it’s an entire ecosystem. A no brainer. Thanks team, grateful for you!

Great people, Same Goals, Many Viewpoints
Great people all working towards similar goals with wildly divergent ideas. The leaders do know what they are talking about, and there is a lot of good information for first-timers.
