I took my playstation 5 to Richard at steel city I,T for a hdmi repair, I received 5 star service.
Richard is very helpful and knowledgeable.
I will definitely use him again and recommend him to family and friends.

Rang to ask why my joys could be drifting, was told he could fix this, not much explain of causes as a non technical person trusted h what he was saying - one assumed it was the rails but was told the joy con had drift shift or whatever it’s called. Charge of £40, ok that’s fine if it fixes it.
Anyway took the whole thing including joy cons to be fixed - collected said item and the item was doing the exact same, item was not fixed. Contacted company and told I need to clean the rails - did this - still not working - was then told it would cost more to have it looked at and could be rails.
Nah you’re ok. If I’d know it would be £40 for nil out if it if have bought new joy cons at the same time but wasn’t told this at beginning - again I assumed he would fully resolve the issue for £40!
Anyway decided to sack it off and buy new console.
Conclusion
Do not recommend this company - poor communication - bad attitude and not fixed my issues and still took my £40

My son broke the ps5 so found this guy on internet . Luckily for me he only lived 10 mins away and I am so glad i did. Fixed my PlayStation within 2 days, was absolutely a top man. Cheap as well!!

I had a laptop that that was no longer charging due to a dodgy usb c port. Reached out to Richard as he was local and answered my query promptly with a clear indication of the cost of repair. Once he had it he was able to quickly confirm the cost of repair and only proceeded when I gave the ok. I was kept up to date with the work and shown pictures to show what work he had completed. The laptop is now functioning perfectly. Thank you.

Brilliant experience and I have a working Xbox again, the price was fair and I'd definitely return if I need anything tech in the future even though I have to travel quite a distance, I read previous reviews and glad I chose Rich and Steel City IT, those reviews weren't wrong

Great service, sorting my lads hdmi port out on his PS5

Took a PS2 to Richard to fix. Unfortunately, shortly after the first fix another fault developed. Richard took it back to repair again. However, it still didn't work. He refunded me for the work and advised somebody who I could purchase a new PS2 from. It's a shame that it wasn't possible for him to fix, but I appreciate that he took me at face value and was able to refund and give me a work round

Rang steel city it as a last minute thing as the first place we went to was closed and I'm so glad it worked out that way we took our ps5 for replacement hdmi and power socket, he was very professional spoke to my son about what was needed and how to keep maintenance up was done within a few days and very reasonably priced would highly recommend

Great service. PC was picked up for repair and checked shortly afterwards, communicating throughout the process. Richard talked through my options and I decided due to the age of the setup it was not cost effective to find replacement parts. Richard had a new upgrade PC set up and dropped off a couple of hours later. Fantastic service I will be going back for any future repairs or upgrades.

Bought a high-end laptop from Richard couple days ago.

Richard is a really nice seller, willing to meet halfway on issues that may arise, quickly responds, but organizational skills are a bit lacking.

Working hours do fluctuate a bit, slight payment issue took place (which was still quickly solved by him).

Having said that, I still recommend the guy, because the pros definitely outweigh the cons.

I contacted Richard late on a Friday after my 14-year-old granddaughter became worried she may have damaged her Xbox as it had stopped working.
Despite it being the start of the weekend, Richard kindly offered to take a look before going away. He quickly identified the problem, ordered the necessary part, and had everything fixed by Monday afternoon. Throughout the process, he was helpful, friendly, and kept me updated. When we dropped the console off, he immediately put my granddaughter at ease.
Fantastic service—would definitely recommend!

Richard was timely and efficient, and very reassuring the whole time I was using his services. He was easy to contact and always responded, and most importantly was cheaper and more thorough than other services I have used in the past.

My son’s Xbox HDMI port was broken. I found Rich details and made contact on Saturday. By Monday evening the Xbox was fixed, serviced with help and advice on how to use condensed air to keep pet hairs away.

My sons PS5 stopped working the evening before his birthday. He was gutted. I was recommended to try Richard at Steel City IT so called him and he offered to sort it that day for him. He was able to repair it within a couple of hours and my son was extremely grateful. Would highly recommend.
