TAXI DRIVERS BEWARE.

I'd never been to steven eagell toyota before but apparently they are a great company for taxi drivers so I thought why not give it a go 19/1/2025

A young lady asked if I needed any help and then sat me down to ask the usual questions, I told her I was a taxi driver straight away and she said she had sold to a few taxi drivers in our area so I was pretty hopefull she could help me.

The young lady asked if I have a part ex etc etc so I said yes my taxi was outside. She then went to her floor manager and came back to tell me she was going to do an appraisal on my car and she wouldn't be long.

While she was checking my car out I was getting my settlement figure for my current car, (top of the range) vauxhall insignia with low mileage considering what I use it for.

She then came back after talking to her floor manager for the third time and told me she couldn't take my car as part ex because they couldn't sell it at auction because it's been used as a taxi.

Firstly it's as clean as anything with relatively low mileage, secondly how would an auction buyer know it was a taxi anyway, and lastly you'll happily sell multiple cars to taxi drivers but you wouldn't take them back after a few years as part ex for a newer car? That im afraid is the opposite to helping taxi drivers out and I'm going to make sure taxi drivers steer well clear of your so called reputable dealership.

Multiple customers walking through the door but not enough staff to deal with them as well.

I literally felt like you were fobbing me off to get me out of the door with a BS story but if it wasn't B.S then that's a pretty shoddy way to run a dealership considering I used to be a car salesman working for a larger dealership than yours and the last dealership (toomey) I used took my old taxi as part ex no problem.

I'll get my toyota somewhere else thank you very much 😊

Very poor service from Steven Eagle

Very poor service from Steven Eagle, I purchased my vehicle new from the Oxford Garage prior to Steven Eagle taking over and always had good service, sadly not the case now, Steven Eagle are not customer centric and very focused on money grabbing, all businesses need to make money, but there are ways to do it whilst looking after your customers. I have now moved my servicing to another Toyota dealership.

Went to Steven Eagell Toyota garage in…

Went to Steven Eagell Toyota garage in Watford following a telephone conversation with one of the salesmen during the telephone conversation I asked him if I could have a price on a new Toyota Hilux he tried to sell me a second hand one I told him I wasn’t interested he then asked me to come to the garage to discuss the new Toyota Hilux when I arrived at the garage I was greeted by a nice friendly lady at the reception after a few minutes I was greeted by of the salesmen
( not the one that I had spoken to on the phone )
He then told me there wasn’t any new Hilux trucks about and tried to sell me the old truck from his forecourt I told him I wasn’t interested then he went away and the other salesman I had spoken with on the phone came to see me and then told me that he could get me a new Hilux Truck when I asked him what his best price was he said he couldn’t discount the truck unless I committed to buying one there and then on the spot I told him that he was supposed try and stop me leaving to get my custom he wasn’t one bit bothered so I left and told him that I would never go back to Steven Eagell in Watford he then said I’ll go and see if my manager will give you a discount I told him you’ve already told me that your manager has told you there is no discount unless you commit to buying today so I told him not to waste my time WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH THESE PEOPLE IF THEY WORKED FOR ME I WOULD GIVE THEM THEIR MARCHING ORDERS RIGHT OUT THE DOOR TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS TO DO YOUR BEST TO GET CUSTOMERS NOT GET RID OF THEM

Awful service

I think people should know about the disgraceful way that I have been treated by Steven Eagell in Rayleigh, Essex.
I have been a customer since 2006. I have purchased several brand new hi-lux trucks, 3 Land cruisers and a RAV4. Every service and MOT has been done by this company over a course of 18 years.
Up until now, I feel that the service was good, but for some reason this has now died away. I put my truck in for a service last year and received a phone call telling me that my brakepads were 80% worn and needed to be changed. I said no problem, but leave the old ones in the vehicle as we have them inspected. I received a phone call 30mins later telling me that on further inspection they were OK. This happened twice and I thought no more of it.
I put my truck in for a service and asked them specifically to check the brakes bearing in mind that the last 2 services they told me the pads were very worn. The lady in reception wrote this on the paperwork and I picked the truck up being told that all was well. Two days later my discs were grinding and I took the truck back to Steven Eagell and told them the problem. They told me they had a lot of problems with staff and would deal with it which to their credit they did fitting new brake pads and discs free of charge. About a week later 4 lights came up on my dashboard. I tried to contact this company which was a mission in itself, eventually talking to someone who asked if the lights were red or orange. I told them orange and they told me that it was safe to drive but would need a diagnostics check. My truck was taken down there by my partner who was told that it wasn't booked in, tried booking in through a call centre. No one returned any calls from me and eventually got it booked in for 18th October (nearly 3 months later). They had my vehicle for over 2 weeks telling me they couldn't diagnose the fault and were waiting for a specialist. I received a call telling me that the specialist had diagnosed the fault and I had to pay £1,400 parts and labour as my 100,000 mile warranty actually runs out at 81,000 and my vehicle had 82,500 on the clock. Fully serviced by Toyota themselves, this is disgusting and I am sure I am not the only person that has been ripped off like this. The shame is I was ordering a new truck for next year and possible 2 new electric vans and now I will never spend another penny with them again.

Worcester After Sales Service

I was just about to give SE Worcester a *, but then Saji (new Sales Manager) phoned me.

I love my RAV4 and all staff have been very polite and helpful; even although, when I phone them, I always seem to end up at Milton Keynes when I wanted Worcester.

My * was due to the initial lack of communication, knowledge and ability to fix a minor problem with my recording camera. I had already revisited Worcester 3 times for the issues to be rectified and this was becoming tiresome.

Safi arranged for my car to be collected, taken to Worcester and returned the same day (cleaner than when they took it). Safi has continued to communicate with me and I have every confidence he will deliver his promises.

It's ***** for Safi, less * because of the frustration with initial lack of response. :)

Poor service. Disappointing …

It’s now been a month since this company overcharged me for work done. Despite their own admission that I had been overcharged and a promise of a refund I have received nothing! Check your bills carefully before paying because a refund seems impossible. I don’t even get the courtesy of a response to my emails now. They just don’t care. Frankly I expected better from a representative of the Toyota brand. Never had this kind of service issue with Honda or Audi.
Poor!

Bought my car on Jul 30, all great service before you fully paid. On the evening of Jul 31, tyre pressure warning was on, checked the tyres, all are under pressure. When I got the car, the salesman said the 2nd set of car key will be with them within two weeks. Today Sep 17, I still haven’t heard anything from them, called to their customer service, told them about that, they said the key is with them, I could pop in to collect it, I said I couldn’t as I am in the process of moving, the lady then asked where do you live, make me feel like she js challenging how could you not dropping by to collect. I asked for postage which was offered by the salesman on the day that I collected my car. The CS lady said I was rude, as I told her if I knew the key were there then I could have collected it before instead but not now as I am preparing to move.

I have emailed the salesman when the tyre pressure warning was on, never get a response from him. On the day I collected my car, he forgot to put into his schedule, and he was the one initiated to move to Jul 30 instead of Jul 31 l, and I had to pay extra to get a short-term insurance so that I could collect a day before the original appointment, and on the day of collection, he was in a rush to pick up his mother.

Update on Oct 4:

Sale Manager of the branch reached out today, he was surprised I still haven’t got my car key, so he collected the key and delivered to my partner in person promptly. Much appreciated his assistance and assurance on following up on this incident.

I believed it is an isolated incident with particular sale person whom handle my purchase.

Disappointed

Hello,
I'm Romeo Iancu and I'd like to leave some feedback on Steven Eagell Toyota Romford. I am very disappointed because around 3 months ago I got a new car with an SUV package upgrade option. The car came without the option I have chosen. Three weeks ago I got given an appointment at the service for the car to get the option installed, I left it on a Saturday and when I came to collect it the next day, I got told that they do not have all the elements that they need from the SUV package. Therefore, I got told again to wait for another appointment and I still have not been contacted. It is not fair that I'm paying the amount for the SUV package if my car doesn't have it installed at all. If there are seriously any problems with this and it cannot be installed, it is fair that I get compensated for it. I would like this problem to be resolved as soon as possible please.

No log book and V5 received over 1month

It's been well over 4weeks and we have not received our V5 . We have called DVLA several times and Teven Eagell, Stourbridge branch. This is unacceptable and shameful. So ,no log book for 2 years old car from a dealer 🤔 for V5 ?

Very poor customer service .

Very poor customer service .
Booked a Yaris Cross to test drive in the Rayleigh Branch Essex.
75mins later I was handed the Icon model to test drive instead as they they felt it was in keeping in my price range !
Avoid Rayleigh Branch I left feeling very dissatisfied and disappointed.

TOYOTA YARIS CROSS-EXCEL BEST CAR.

I again purchased a new Toyota Yaris Cross - Excel 2024 from the Watford dealership. Great people to do business with. Haseeb Darr treats one like a family member and assisted me from start to finish. I liked his honesty, he is straight forward and to the point.
Sergei Sooby, Sales Executive at this branch was very friendly, professional and helpful. I just can’t say enough positive things about my experience. End of the day, Toyota cars can’t go wrong, but it’s the people like them…..to make it happen.
Highly recommended.

Steven Eagle Ipswich - AVOID

Steven Eagle Ipswich - AVOID. Would give zero stars if possible.
Following a full service where I also had a few Sat Nav problems I asked them to look at, I was met by Philip Hook - Service Customer Advisor when I went to collect my car and I have never met a person so patronising, arrogant and insulting to my intelligence. He told me that they were unable to resolve the issues on my car as he said "there were no faults registered" despite the fact the same fault had occurred 4 times in the last week, he was adamant that they hadn't. Rather than just say that he was sorry Toyota were unable to locate the problem (which I would have accepted) he just kept repeating over and over into my face "there is no fault registered" as if I was stupid!! If that is Toyota's idea of Customer Service then they need to organise some re-training for this guy. I grabbed my paperwork and stormed out. The mechanics may have done a fantastic job but greatly let down by front of house staff. I will endeavour to find an alternative garage to take my car to in future.

Gave the card details to hold a used car, but calling end of the day to tell they sold it !! Not sure why then they claim they will hold the car for a deposit
