Fantastic customer service from Oxford…

Fantastic customer service from Oxford Toyota Service :)
I was looked after brilliantly by Rosie Clarke-Adams, Andrew Robey and the team, including Host Rachel. Even more impressive when you consider that the site is undergoing a full dealership upgrade and they are working from portacabins. Well done to everyone in the service department, you deserve medals :)

A story of one bad apple ruining a service experience at Steven Eagell Bedford. Danny and Rob are always fantastic, polite and helpful and provide a great experience. Today on picking up our CHR from MOT I had the misfortune of dealing with Nikki, a service advisor. My car wasn’t quite ready so she was extremely rude and said “wait for the phone call and come back later”. Ten minutes later I received a phone call from Rob saying it was ready for collection. I went back to collect and when the other staff were in the back office she said “I don’t care I am number two in Europe whatever that means and any bad review will be deleted anyway!” I made a formal complaint to her manager who apologised profusely but such terrible manners and customer service is surely unacceptable. If you take your car in for service at Bromham don’t deal with Nikki ( Nikita) if you want any level of customer service or politeness.

Not happy!

Having been a happy customer of Motorline Toyota for many years, I feel the need to write a very honest review of the service received so far. Visited the Gatwick dealership after being a customer of the Horsham site, but since our salesman Andrew left, stayed local using the Gatwick dealership. Had an appointment at 11:30 and was seen at 11:50 - not a massive issue but the sales guy was going backwards and forwards to the office with a new face appearing now and then. Not knowing who knew we were dealing with, finally ended up with Jordan who was very good.

After being left hanging on numerous occasions, somehow we reached a sale and bought a new Yaris for our son. We were told it would be quick and we should hear in a week. We were, a few days later we were called to say the car arrived and was ready for collection.

We arranged to collect on Friday and turned up at the agreed time. 20 minutes later, we was was finally greeted and told someone would be out - again, not a problem as we understand walk-ins can be unexpected. Jordan sorted out all the paperwork but a document could not be completed as the info was sent to a wrong email address - again, this happens so it was completed manually.

Was taken to the new car and all looked good. Well…..on closer inspection, a barcode sticker was left on the rear window, stickers on the wing mirrors, black protection tape still in the door wells, wing mirrors filthy with dust/dirt, car mats still in the boot wrapped in plastic……..this was a last minute prepared car - not a £21K arranged purchase. Came home to realise there was no folder with manuals/service book and no spare key! Called to complain and was promised a call back from the manager……….still no call - 4 days later (it has been Easter but would expect a same day call).

I currently have a new C-HR on order and on the verge of cancelling as the service here is shocking. I do not expect rose petals to be sprinkled down but as a business owner that expects customer service to be at the forefront of any business, I feel that customer service here is like nailing a jelly to a wall - just impossible.

Vehicles ordered in 2021 still missing!

We have a fleet of 22 vehicles. I ordered 2 x Hilux from Romford in June 2021 and another 2 in August 2022. Yes those dates are correct! March 2024 and I still have none of the vehicles. They managed to find 2 of them in December 2023 and at that point I paid a £13k deposit and was told it would be 2 weeks and they would be delivered. I'm still waiting. Emails ignored, calls ignored. This will be the last time I ever deal with this company. If I could give a zero rating I would.

Don’t bother

Absolutely diabolical, purchased a car from the Chelmsford branch, had no end of issues from when I placed the order to when I was driving the car, terrible customer service, stupidly purchased another car from a different branch where I was promised a better service, that branch was worse - once they’ve got your money there’s no care, if you are unlucky like me to receive a new car with issues, good luck getting it sorted in a timely manner, I’m still without my car, they promise to return calls but they don’t. Even after personally going to the branch to sort it out I was still given empty promises, this company are great a lip service but so far that’s all I’ve got. Actions speak louder than words and I’m still waiting for the action!!! Sort it out Steven Eagell, I’ll spread the knowledge with as many friends and family to warn them not to part with their hard earned cash with you. I’m a fair but honest person, you give me a good service and you’ll get a 5 star review.

Steven Eagell Toyota - AYLESBURY

Steven Eagell Toyota - Aylesbury

Rude, pushy salesman got up and walked out on me because I wouldn't buy a car I hadn't seen or test driven. I called his manager to complain but heard nothing back. NO ONE should be FORCED to buy anything. Pushy sales people trying to earn their commission. He had the cheek to tell me the average customer visits once and then buys a car. They rang me several times in the week pushing for a sale. He then told me he had another car I could try, I travelled by bus to test drive the car, when I arrived he said I wouldnt like that one. That's when he said if he could find another CHR online, would I do a deal there & then? I said no! He told me 'I can't help you' got up and walked out (I tested one the week before)
how rude! I won't ever return. Shame on you!! What a terrible, terrible customer experience! I was treated so badly. I hope no one else is treated in this way.

dreadful experience with Steven Eagle Gatwick

I took my Lexus here because the intermittent wiper didn't work. The windscreen needed replacing (which I wasn't told when I bought it, admittedly from Marshalls) The screen was ordered, I went back as agreed but the joint was missing. So two wasted days and the intermittent wiper still doesn't work. Abysmal service

Another fiasco from Steven Eagle Toyota…

Another fiasco from Steven Eagle Toyota at Tunbridge Wells. I was due to collect my car from the Tunbridge Wells branch today after they had the car for five weeks. Bits of trim hanging off the boot, missing trim from the doors, no paperwork available and the car unvaletted. An hour and a half wait whilst some of the trim was fixed and yet another visit to this shambolic main dealer.

Add in the inability to return calls, keep to timescales, respond to feedback comments or even answer the phone and you enough to deter me from ever using this dealership again.

Excellent service

I called the Watford branch and told Pio what I required. Pio promised to call me back within an hour and did, with a suggestion. Picked up the car within a few days. Everyone was helpful, friendly, and efficient.
Well done Steven Eagell and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Aftersales care is non-existent

Aftersales care is non-existent. Once they have the deal and you have taken delivery of the car – zero care and respect shown to customers.
No response to any contact via the feedback email address with a serious concern.
I will not be returning to Steven Eagell.

AVOID -Wolverhampton Branch

This dealership used to be good. but now you should AVOID!
Had 3 cars in a row now, Aygo, Yaris and Rav4 Hybrid.

The cars been good but the service from this garage has been awful. Been chasing them for 3 months now to set up a service plan and just keep getting ignored, Has several staff members copied in and they all just ignore.

I think its basically a take your money and run business, luckily our car has been fine but if you had one with a problem good luck getting them to even acknowledge you.

Check out their Trust pilot reviews - very poor.

AVOID!

Avoid at all costs

It’s been a month since my initial review on Google below and nothing has been done about this. Severely disappointed with the service quality.

Where do I start, completely avoid this place at all costs. My father has bought a used Skoda from this Toyota branch. Less than a month after purchase the vehicle has started making odd noises which my father has raised with myself and his sales person which was Adil Sheikh whom tried to brush my father off a few times, was never in the office and was not returning calls. Eventually when he phoned/messaged my father he has then forwarded the video of the issue to Adil on his WhatsApp where he then yet again proceeded to ignore my father. After a couple of days my father has asked me for help where I have phoned up and asked to speak to a manager where a man called Saifullah Raja has handled my request not to take it further up to their general manager. I have them forwarded the video on to Saif to look into. My father has taken the vehicle to his local Skoda dealer to have the fault looked into and they have come back with a diagnosis where the cause of the noise was that the dual clutch is on his way out. That’s less than a month after purchase. Not exactly sure what warranty they’ve sold the vehicle with but it was not covered, bare in mind this is an automatic DSG not a manual which you can wear the clutch out within a day.. after Skoda presented costs of repairs my father had them forwarded this onto this place which is a serious joke, after multiple days of lack of reply it was arranged for my fathers car to be collected and replaced with a courtesy vehicle let of yours, this exchange has happened on the 11th of August. I have phoned up last Saturday the 2nd September just before 12pm to be told that’s fathers vehicle has been sent to Skoda as Toyota does not have some specialist tools to repair the vehicle and that someone will give me a ring on Tuesday.. I’ve rang again on Thursday the 7th as I nor my father have received any calls or information in reference to his vehicle and I was told by some arrogant man in the service department that my dads vehicle has been tested over and over and that it can’t be faulted when an official dealer has stated that the clutch is going?… first of all I don’t understand the lies, one says the vehicle has gone off to Skoda in Birmingham and the next says that they can’t fault it. It is going to be a month now that my dad is without his vehicle as for what it is Toyota will be having this vehicle longer than he has owned it for. This is going to be taken further from now on as this is a joke on your end. I have all correspondence in all shapes and forms of communication present to take it further. At this rate my father does not want that vehicle anymore as it has given him more problems than it should, also the courtesy vehicle is putting a strain on his spine.

Bad Experience

My motability scheme car was booked in for a full service this morning at the Oxford branch and just received a call to let me know my vehicle would not be collected because of tyre issues even though they knew about the problem last month and did not do anything about it and were happy to drive the car and let me drive it. Not happy at all. Will be contacting Motability Scheme to try and change the car and dealer and will also be leaving another negative review on Google. Disgraceful and unprofessional. Never had any problems with Inchcape.

Please avoid Toyota Romford

Whomever reads this, please, take the time to drive a little further down the road to a different Toyota Dealership, as Toyota Romford are a devious, untrustworthy dealer and by going just a few more miles to another Toyota dealer, you'll save yourself money and stress.

For those that are interested, my reason for my anger towards Toyota Romford is down to a number of issues. The main being that the dealership mislead me regarding the price i would receive for my part exchange and decided to reduce the price by £2,000 on the day of collection of the new car with no warning. I challenged them as I had signed documentation which supports the figures agreed but they have spoken their way out of the contract currently and I have now passed this to the Ombudsman to investigate, which they have agreed to take on.

Every aspect of my complaint has effectively been down to the dealerships inability to provide full and accurate information to allow a customer to be able to make a informed decision. Their 'training' of their staff leaves a lot to be desired.

Other points to note are that the car was given to me with little to no care whatsoever. It had been 'valeted' but had sticker marks all over it, the carpets were filthy and the car was scratched at the rear. The number plates provided where also in poor condition. When challenged regarding this issue, their immediate response was to be defensive and deny that they would have done anything wrong, as opposed to looking into the issue for the customer. But as we've established, they do not care for the customer whatsoever.

On the day I collected the new car, there was a lady in the dealership complaining about the service she had received. She even blocked the exit to the dealership she was so annoyed. Maybe I should have taken that as a warning.

I'm summary, they are incompetent and will take any opportunity to mislead a customer to benefit themselves. Please, do yourself a favour and go elsewhere... Toyota Rayleigh isn't too far away!
