Giving 2 stars rather than 1 because the stone itself seems to be fine. However, our order arrived WITH A LOAD OF BROKEN GLASS IN IT!

When I contacted the company, they completely refused to take responsibility, saying that it must have happened during transportation, and even going so far as to suggest very rudely that we might have done it at our end!

They offered to replace the pallet, but our crew were working on a schedule and had to use the dangerous pallet that we had been sent, hence why I had paid extra for one day delivery. I asked if they would refund the delivery fee - not the whole order, just the delivery fee - which they refused, which I find pretty amazing.

A shout out to the delivery man himself who was very competent and kind, but these are NOT nice people to do business with. I have reported them to Trading Standards, and would recommend finding another stone seller.

Samples came within a reasonable time to allow us to evaluate.

I have used this company for substantial orders and over several years. The website is excellent and a pleasure to use. The staff are easily contactable by phone and will really go out of their way to help you, especially with regard to delivery. They are friendly and knowledgeable too.

We have been buying stone from Stone Traders since 2006. After a recent experience from another company that failed to deliver, we decided to write a review so as to highlight suppliers that can be depended upon. Stonetraders are slightly above average on cost and on quality. Beyond this, if there is ever a problem with the order, it gets corrected within a few days. Highly recommended. Thanks to John.

Stone trader’s delivered yet another great new porcelain slab this week to site. It was my first experience of Andy Crane delivering. What a great partnership that is. A polite, considerate and very helpful driver. Then to receive great advice from Karen in the office about the product and choice of pointing. Won’t go anywhere else.

Good service generally, received call to discuss and agreed delivery date although this was not confirmed at any time so communication could be improved. However, now feel frustrated over the deliver cost charged as it was extortionate, delivery costs indicated from £25/Pallet so having to pay nearly £400 for delivery and receiving only four pallets i feel this is a rip off and that maybe the discounted price on the stone has been covered in the delivery cost. Given the quantity of stone purchased, the cost for delivery was nearly 14% for four pallets which is very expensive and unacceptable.

I ordered a sample and it was a good size to be able to see what the full size pavers are likely to look like. It arrived quickly and I appreciated that they used recyclable packaging.

Great customer service - arranged a special order, great product, delivered on time. Special shout out to Karen (office manager) who was super helpful!
