Beware of UPS charges
I'm pleased to report that the issue with my order 518501 has been resolved after 80 days. Initially, I was incorrectly charged additional fees by UPS, which were double the value of my order but I could neither cancel or refuse to pay them. StoneX Bullion was very apologetic and promptly refunded the charges, even though they weren't obligated to do so. I appreciate their good customer service and willingness to resolve the issue.
However, I still feel there should be more warning about these potential costs before purchase with a pop up that you need to confirm you have read and understood before it lets you proceed.
I'd like to acknowledge that StoneX Bullion took responsibility for resolving the issue and refunding the charges, demonstrating their commitment to customer satisfaction.

We would, however, like to clarify once again that the charges applied to your shipment were the result of an error made solely by UPS, an external logistics provider, and not a fee imposed by StoneX Bullion. As UPS and StoneX Bullion operate as completely separate companies, we were not responsible for the incorrect amount that was charged.
Despite this, our team took full initiative to assist you, communicated with UPS on your behalf, and ultimately refunded the amount as a gesture of goodwill—although we were not obligated to cover fees incorrectly generated by a third party. This was an exceptional situation and not something our customers typically encounter.
We thank you again for recognising our commitment to resolving the matter and for your continued trust in StoneX Bullion.

I ordered 250 1oz silver Britannias on…
I ordered 250 1oz silver Britannias on 6th October. The shipping fee was £129.90 and customs declaration £33.91.
I ordered another 250 1oz silver Britannias on 9th October. The shipping fee was £129.90 and customs declaration £33.86.
The 1st delivery was collected from StoneX on the 16th October and arrived at my local UPS warehouse on the 17th. It remained here until the 21st when it was marked as ‘return to sender.’ The detail on the UPS app says that ‘UPS initiated contact with the sender to obtain clearance information. Once received, UPS will submit for clearance. /The package will be returned to the sender.’
Clearly something had gone wrong with the delivery. I contacted StoneX Customer Care on the 21st. It took a few phone calls to get through, but the agent could give me no information about what had happened and that they were investigating.
The 2nd delivery was collected from StoneX on the 20th October and arrived at my local UPS warehouse on the 21th. Concerned that this delivery would not arrive like the previous one, I phoned StoneX on the 23rd. It took a few phone calls to get through, but the agent again could give me no information, that it was still being investigated.
Today (24th October), the 2nd delivery has been marked as ‘return to sender.’ The detail on the UPS app again says that ‘UPS initiated contact with the sender to obtain clearance information. Once received, UPS will submit for clearance. /The package will be returned to the sender.’
I now have 2 deliveries that have failed and are being returned to StoneX. I have no information on what went wrong. UPS is showing the 1st delivery as ‘return to sender’ dated the 21st October. There has been no update in the last 3 days. I have no idea when my 2 orders will arrive.
The 2 conversations I have had with Customer Care have been disappointing. Whilst I can accept that things go wrong, I don’t think my situation has been handled well. StoneX had 3 days to investigate the issue and potentially ensure the 2nd delivery was successful, but this has not happened.
StoneX have never contacted me to update me, I am simply relying on what updates appear on UPS.
Update 28oct; Stone X are now actively working with me to resolve the custom issue and will again update when the orders arrive.
Update 4nov; My packages have arrived. I would like to thank Stone X for working with me to resolve the issues.
