Very good and a repeat visit

THIS IS A REVIEW FOR THE RESTAURANT ONLY.

Having been before, we knew what to expect.
On this occasion we had club sandwiches which were huge and on very thick fresh bread. Service was very good and the servers were really pleasant. We did not have to wait long for the food and they were pleasant in offering us a take away box for the half sandwich we could not eat, despite trying!

Lesson learned here - 1 club sandwich is adequate for 2 people - maybe topped up with chips.

Whilst this was a purpose journey, it was one we were happy to make given we were stuffed when we left there. Will definitely return across the border in the future and revisit.

Would have given it 5 stars BUT we cant deal with unruly children who are not looked after by their parents running around and shouting when we were trying to have a conversation. Come on Strawberry fields sort this issue out please.....children should be seen and NOT heard!!!

- 'once upon a time ' it was a delightful place to shop -

Worst “farm shop” ever

Worst “farm shop” ever!
Who pays these ridiculous prices for basic food? What a complete and utter rip off. I bought bread and cakes from there about 12-14 months ago on a visit so I thought I’d pop in again….rubbish! It’s so bad, nothing like it was. Quality has obviously gone downhill sharply. Staff look and act miserable. Will never bother again

Has a really nice day at Strawberry…

Has a really nice day at Strawberry fields, my first time there.
The food was really good, we had a ploughman’s, 2 wraps and a child’s roast, while it wasn’t cheap it was fair and of great quality. The young people serving were happy, efficient, professional and very good at their job.
We weren’t going to go to the Tulip fest as at 10.95 each including for the kids it seemed a bit much but we did in the end. It was actually brilliant and a lot of thought had gone into the event making it a proper experience. I can see the business is well run and they probably make a lot of money, but to be honest they deserve to. I hope they pay their servers well as they are a credit.

Tip Toe through the Tulip Fest - Fabulous!

My friend and I organised a day out at Strawberry Fields Tulip Fest for our mutual friend's birthday treat. The tulips were amazing. So beautifully displayed and Tulip Heaven was magical. Afterwards, we went to the restaurant for our pre-paid afternoon tea which was delicious. Attentive staff, clean restaurant and very organised. 5 * review as the day was so memorable. Thank you!

Food very poor quality.”freshly cooked sausage roll” tasted stale, pastry hard and knife provided not sharp enough to cut it. Chips also not freshly cooked, soon very cold and parts black and unappetising. My husband enjoyed his pasty however. Goods in shop very expensive

So over priced

So over priced. £4.10 for a filter coffee.
Paid £25 for two coffees and two sausage baps, one with bacon. Sausages were such poor quality and ghe bacon barely cooked.
A farm using Clover margarine instead of butter as well was a big shock!

Will not be returning!

Used to love it here before they…

Used to love it here before they expanded .
Popped in for coffee on way up country.
Very slow service and Flat White at over £4 was awful. You need to teach your staff how to make good coffee when you’re charging prices like that.

Poorly tummy

Total rip-off plus now, not well due to the amount of salt in the quiche my arse has never been so poorly!!!!! and throwing up in the middle of the night. Great start to our holiday. spent nearly £30 absolute ridiculous amount of money one coffee that was so strong had to be thrown away. Two quiches full of salt made us poorly one prawn sandwich one ham salad sandwich two cookies.!!!! I was stood waiting to pay and a young lad Nik to cherry off one of the cakes mucky dirty little hands the staff didn’t even remove the cake!!!!!. No wonder we’ve got poorly tummies.

We generally had a good time at Strawberry…

We had a good time at Strawberry Fields having travelled down from Exeter with ten of us for Pumkin Fest.
The food was lovely and we really enjoyed ourselves generally although ‘The Maize’ which we paid £5 a head was literally a wash out!
It was so muddy and we just walked around a muddy field!
All our clothes and boots were covered in mud and the children didn’t get the excitement or enjoyment that it was built up to be in their advertising.

🎃 fest 25

Not enough seating to eat, over booked and crowded and only 1 baby change facility with a big queue. Queues for everything as they allowed too many bookings.

Very nice breakfast, bacon in particular. Very attentive staff.

Looked in the shop too which had a great variety. A proper farm shop (if you know what I mean!)

I'm reviewing the coffee shop in Lifton. We come here occasionally, however since Tia has arrived we visit atleast 4times a week, for her amazing coffee making skills, when she isn't available , I'm afraid the coffee is not as good. Please please management can you get this girl to train all your staff in the correct way to make coffee. Its a skill sadly lacking. Plus she always has a smile on her face, unlike some of the others. Its not much to ask ! Thank you Tia for another amazing coffee this morning.

Low Gluten Cream Tea is brilliant!

I called ahead to investigate the 'low gluten' name as I was a little concerned due to my allergy. The staff who I spoke to were very knowledgeable about cross contamination and explained they have called it low gluten as there is not a separate kitchen. I ate there and enjoyed the cream tea which was the mirror image of my friends' non-GF version (this is very rare) and I had no issues. Great food and super service!

What an amazing find

What an amazing find. We broke our early morning drive to Cornwall at Strawberry Fields. The breakfast was delicious. Not only delicious but 0 food miles what could be better? Every member of staff we encountered was a delight.
The toilets were of the highest standard.
We will definitely return.

Disappointed

I used to love coming here with my children. We would always get an ice cream from the farm shop which they would look forward to. Today, however we visited and we were told they no longer served ice cream. However if we wanted to pay £8.95 to visit the 'Tulip Fest' then we could get one there (no thank you) So as you can imagine I now have two grumpy children and no ice cream, Thank you Strawberry Fields for that!
