Title: Sold invalid tickets, denied entry, then refused refund on a technicality
I purchased tickets through StubHub International for the FC Porto football match at Estádio do Dragão (May 17th, 2026, re schedule to May 16th, 2026). Upon arriving at the venue, my tickets were rejected at the gate (I used Apple wallet as instructed by email)— they had already been scanned and were invalid for entry. I was denied access to the event despite holding what appeared to be valid tickets purchased through StubHub's platform.
I immediately contacted StubHub customer service, followed their entire claims process, filled out and submitted their official affidavit, and provided all requested documentation. After going through all of this, StubHub refused my refund — claiming the documents were submitted after a "72-hour deadline."
This is unacceptable. StubHub sold me fraudulent tickets, and when I did everything right to claim a refund, they used a paperwork technicality to avoid taking responsibility. Their so-called "FanProtect Guarantee" is meaningless if they can reject valid claims on bureaucratic grounds.
I am now filing formal complaints with DECO PROteste (Portugal's consumer protection body) and the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform, and initiating a chargeback through my bank.
Do not trust StubHub International with your money. If something goes wrong at the gate, you are on your own.

I purchased a ticket for the hawks vs adelaide crows game at UTAS Stadium, and i received the ticket but there was no barcode and i was very lucky that i was still able to be let in. I also didn't received a seat number, i knew where i had to go but no designated seat number so i just had to pick a seat and hope for the best. I wouldn't recommend to go through stubhub again too much stress and risk of loosing money and disappointment. The ticket was also still very expensive considering i purchase it very last minute.

I bought a premier league ticket from stubhub international. Promised to be delivered electronically by Friday (mobile ticket). Starting Saturday morning, I called over and over stubhub international to inquire but I was placed on hold for hours yet no one picked up. I emailed, chat the AI robot, and anything to get their attention.
Sunday comes still no ticket. The game is at 4 pm. I frantically call starting 10 AM (their business hour on Sunday is 10AM - 7 PM) but the entire day call goes straight to “Please call again during business hours”.
Given they are a reselling platform and thus a middleman, I understand seller causing an issue and not sending the tickets. However, the lack of support was baffling to me. How can they provide 0 support and still function as a company?Could not get anyone on the phone (wouldn’t even go through) and no response to email.
Absolutely unacceptable and never using stubhub international again. Wasted so much time, opportunity, and missed the game that I traveled so far to see. It would have been my first game for my team.

I bought tickets for the Bad Bunny World Tour in Barcelona. I bought them three months in advance, and StubHub kept me updated throughout the whole process. The tickets arrived on time, although I would have preferred to receive them as soon as I paid for them.

I sold tickets for a Mexico City event that took place on April 4th. I delivered the tickets perfectly on time, strictly following every single protocol established by StubHub to guarantee payment within their promised 5-8 business days window.
It has been a month and a half, and I still haven’t been paid.
Every time I reach out, their customer reps make up the exact same generic excuses, claiming their "IT team is thoroughly reviewing the issue." It is completely unacceptable that a company of this scale requires weeks of "technical review" just to process a standard seller payout.
To make matters worse, their customer support is utterly useless, they’re a joke. Both on the phone and via email, reps are evasive, unhelpful, and they simply stop responding as soon as they are faced with concise, direct questions.
If you expect to get paid for your tickets on time, look elsewhere. StubHub is currently holding my money with zero transparency.

I bought tickets in February for a match this weekend. I received a pdf of a screenshot of a ticket and contacted StubHub support. They claim they are legit, but I know they haven’t reviewed the actual pdfs. I don’t want to be disappointed when I get to the match.
I was expecting a legitimate download or transfer via an app so I can have in my apple wallet. It’s clearly a fake and terrible response from support.

The deadline for receiving information about my payment has passed and they haven't contacted me to clarify anything; they only send automated emails and customer service doesn't respond to my emails.It's worrying how I can't have any contact with anyone when a payment is in the middle and nobody tells you anything about whether you'll receive it.

I bought tickets and was told they would arrive latest 3 hours before concert, which for me was too risky to travel all the way to a different country, not knowing whether I will receive the tickets or not. They offered me to resell those tickets which I did. I asked what would happen in case I do not receive the tickets in time to send them to the new buyer. Their support assured me that I will not be penalized in case I do not manage to send those tickets due to Stubhub's late delivery.
I did not receive the tickets before the deadline and I was also charged a penalty despite their statement. I disputed the penalty and requested a refund for the original ticket which did not arrive in time. Their support team does nothing to assist and their "FanProtect Guarantee" is not being followed.

Worst company I've eve dealt with. After their shipping vendor didn't deliver tickets on time, they proceeded to not only charge me $600 but also withhold the money from my sale. All because they screwed up

UPDATE*** They replied to this comment with a nice "we are working on it" everyone please note: I sent emails to them and they don't bother in replying, it has been now 8 weeks and they are still holding $1000, not communicating and leaving the situation beyond frustating.

I ordered tickets, at high cost, which I was aware of. I had purchased premium tickets. The tickets that were delivered were in a completely different category. I opened a case with StubHub on email to resolve. No response. I called three times to resolve. Unqualified response. Just a frustrating and terrible experience. This is the last time I ordered with StubHub.
