The website was really easy to use, and there were no surprises at the end. I wasn’t able to book a seat, but apparently I can do that directly with the airline. So if that goes well, it’s definitely a five star.
I called twice to try to get my voucher code to work, I checked all the requirements for the code and it should have been working. I had to wait on hold for a hour the first time and about 10 minutes for the second. Both times I was just told to wait because the website was under construction but the longer I waited the more expensive the flights were. However they were still cheaper than any other flights (would’ve saved me a lot more of money had my voucher worked) I could find and they made it pretty easy to look over a lot of flights. I have flown using them once before and everything went super smoothly.
Need to greatly improve upon customer service and make sure that CLEAR communication can be achieved by consumer and agents. First rep found me fast but could not change flight before class. Asked me to stay on the line during my class????NO. Called back second rep couldn’t even find not even locate me and refused to transfer to someone I could communicate with easier. CANCEL FLIGHTS not worth it. Also anytime I tried to utilize Manage Your Booking link or Apply for refund pages never load.

I was attepmting to purchase a flight and I continued getting a pop-up telling me to try again. I discovered that the money for the ticket was almost withdrawn 4 times, causing my account to withdraw ofterdraft protections twice. I spoke to costumer service and they told me that I did not even have a booking with them and that everything should be fine. I am overall very disappointed with Student Universe because of the stress caused by the bank account issue and the limited help provided by costumer service. This website is reccommended by my university, and it is disheartening that I had such a negative experience without no attempt to correct and compensate for the issue. I would not reccommend Student Universe for anyone trying to book a flight, especially for students as there really is no actual discount and they almost caused a significant finanical issue.

My seats were never actually booked. I nearly lost $600+. I attempted to speak with them twice. No answer. Finally I recorded a call on my 3rd attempt and was told my money will be returned. Still waiting
I booked a ticket with Virgin Atlantic from Manchester, UK, to West Palm Beach, USA, for £722, scheduled to fly on Tuesday. When I arrived at Manchester Airport, Virgin Atlantic staff informed me there was no ticket, and I couldn’t board the flight.
This caused me to cancel all my business meetings in the USA, lose 4 days of accommodation worth over $1,800, and a $300 car rental fee. On top of that, I’m still waiting for a refund!

Terrible customer service, its a scam no one should ever waste their time here because you will get a ticket and it will appear for a day or two and then the confirmation page not going to work, you call the customer service first they not going to understand you second they can't verify your details third fake promises, so PLEASE AVOID THESE SCAMMERS.
I booked a Virgin Atlantic flight through the website. My money was debited from my credit card, however when I spoke to Virgin Atlantic to check in,they advised you had not booked the flights. It took 2 hours on the phone and two people hung up on me in the process. It was not fully resolved in this time and I had to go to bed two nights before my flight unsure if I would be on the flight.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Student Universe and would strongly advise against using their services, especially for time-sensitive bookings. I booked a flight through their platform, assuming and even receiving an email that it was confirmed. However, just four days before my flight, I contacted the airline directly to ask why the booking on the app wasn’t giving me manage booking options, only to be informed that no seat had been confirmed by the third party (Student Universe).
When I called Student Universe to address the issue, I was met with a representative who simply recited a scripted response and was unable to offer any real solutions. The lack of accountability and problem-solving was infuriating. Ultimately, I had no choice but to request a refund, which further delayed the process, and rebook directly with the airline—something I should have done from the beginning.
This entire situation caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience, especially given how close it was to my travel date. If you’re booking a flight, particularly last-minute, I cannot recommend Student Universe. Save yourself the headache and book directly with the airline for peace of mind and reliability.
I was gifted with unnecessary stress, this company gave no value to my flight ticket order and the complete radio silence from them ruined my build-up to a very long-awaited trip costing me £1700. if you want to pay a lot of money for stress and lack of assurance then go for this company.I will be buying directly from airlines in the future as I saved no money choosing Student Universe and gave myself a lot of worries leading up to my travel date
