Excellent communication and re-assuring tracking throughout. Subdial make transactions secure and transparent removing both seller and buyer anxiety.

So, back in June 2025 I did a part-exchange on a Cartier Tank — the first time I’d ever done anything like that. I have to say, the whole transaction was incredibly smooth and they gave me a very fair price on the trade, which immediately put me at ease.

Fast-forward to January 2026. We were heading out for an anniversary meal when I realised, to my horror, that the Tank wasn’t working. No matter what I tried, it was clearly not playing ball. My heart absolutely sank as the inevitable (and eye-watering) repair bill loomed large in my mind and I thought ‘here we go!

In a moment of frustration, I fired off a fairly strong email to Subdial, fully expecting it to disappear into the void. Instead — much to my surprise and genuine delight — they came straight back to me. They confirmed the watch was covered by their 12-month warranty and immediately arranged a courier label so I could return it to them free of charge.

The label arrived promptly, they confirmed receipt of the watch, and after testing it was established that the spring had gone and that it would need to be sent to Cartier. Throughout, they were clear, communicative, and realistic about timelines.

And then the icing on the cake: I’ve just had an email — several weeks earlier than expected — confirming the watch has been repaired and arrangements are being made to return it to me.

All in all, a genuinely excellent experience when things could easily have gone the other way. I had been looking at Chrono24 and watchfinder to purchase a speedmaster but I’ll certainly be using Subdial again for my next watch purchase.
