My dad was mis sold a sofa from suite…

My dad was mis sold a sofa from suite world. He is a 94 year old man with dementia and they seriously over charged him messed him about on delivery and it was actually delivered the day before he ended up in a care home. I have tried talking to them about this and they just basically said it’s not their problem once it’s delivered. They told me to put an advert in a shop window to sell it. Terrible customer service
He should never of been sold this sofa and was well over charged. Well done suite world Dover for your customer service and support it’s a joke

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you and your family are unhappy with the purchase.

We would like to clarify that your father was a previous customer of ours and visited the store personally to place a very specific order for a modular 4-seater sofa without arms. Due to the unusual specification, we took extra care to confirm the details of the order with him at the time of purchase, and at no point did we notice or were we made aware of any medical condition or concerns regarding his ability to make the purchase decision.

We also received a phone call from a family member shortly before delivery confirming that the sofa was still wanted and asking for an update, as your father was becoming anxious waiting for it to arrive. This further reassured us that the order was correct and approved by the family.

Unfortunately, the delivery was delayed by approximately two weeks due to shipping container delays outside of our control, although we kept customers informed during this period.

We were very sorry to hear of your father’s later move into care. However, the sofa was delivered as ordered and has now been in use for several months. When you visited the store recently asking us to take the furniture back or refund it, we explained that we are unable to accept returns of used furniture. In trying to help, we suggested possible ways you may be able to resell the sofa privately.

We take customer care very seriously and would never knowingly take advantage of a vulnerable person. We reject the suggestion that your father was intentionally misled or overcharged, and we are disappointed that this situation has been presented in this way publicly.

We do, however, genuinely sympathise with your family’s circumstances and wish your father all the best.

I paid £2000 for Rise and recliner…

I paid £2000 for Rise and recliner chair it was stated to be luxury far from it.i ache from just sitting in it.so uncomfortable. Over priced rubbish I wished I had shopped around .and the 100% no risk guarantee that they give is also utter rubbish as when I complained two days after receiving chair I was not offered this

Gary was very helpful

Gary was very helpful. We love the sofa. Delivery was swift and totally efficient. Good experience. Bonded leather but at that price a real bargain. We will be back. thank you Gary and team. Lynn roach

Disappointing reclining leather chairt

My one star review relates to my latest purchase of a reclining leather chair and stool. They were not cheap but less than 2 years old the leather on the arms of the chair cracked. I contacted Gary and was told the chair only had a one year warrantee. Not a great deal of time for a piece of furniture also I suspect the chair is only actually bonded leather not real leather. In fairness I bought a corner suite before which was fine but will not be buying from suite world again.

FANTASTIC DELIVERY MEN

Just had my furniture delivered. Delivery men Sam and Aleksandrs took my old furniture down 3 flights of stairs and brought my new furniture up 3 flights of stairs, they unpacked it and took away the packaging. No complaints about the stairs from either of them. They should be commended, especially as some companies will only deliver to the ground floor etc, etc. Thanks again Sam and Aleksandrs. Gary please give them a pay rise. Jean (Uxbridge). PS furniture is great.......

Uncomfortable Leather reclining armchair,,vice and…

Leather armchair,,the service and delivery was great ,I placed my order by phone so didn't see or try the armchair ,it looks good the colour was perfect ,my problem is ,it is so uncomfortable, unable to sit in it for to long it is so hard . Very disappointed .I feel I paid toprice for what I thought was going to be right for me .its a rise and recline as I am disabled .only had it a few weeks trying to get on with it but I ache when sitting on it

A Very happy customer!

After seeing the ad on YouTube I took a trip to Dover. Impressive showrooms packed with a huge variety meant I could visualise the options available. I found exactly what I wanted and the decision was made, I ordered a corner sofa with a power recliner, perfect. Delivery was organised to suit my schedule and the lads that delivered it did a lovely job! Thanks for the little ottoman too!

Excellent service, would definitely recommend

Searching for the perfect sofa, went to all the big retailers but was disappointed with the quality of service ( either ignored or stalked) and selection of sofas offered. Visited Suite world and was pleasantly surprised at the broad selection available to view. Gary was polite and knowledgeable and helped us make a choice without being pushy. The time of delivery estimate was accurate and the delivery service was excellent. Giving us a few days notice and time window for delivery and then a twenty minute arrival notice. Old sofas taken without extra cost too. Very pleased.

I have all ways got my suites from here…

I have all ways got my suites from here i have just got another one but it will be the last time when I order my suit i gave them the measurements that i needed and they said that they could do that as it had to be made it took 6weeks to come and the measurements on the 2seater was not done it's that small you could put it in a dolls house not happy

Fantastic!

After having horrendous problems with a very well known furniture store I went to Suite World. 2x recliner sofas ordered on Tuesday and delivered on Saturday. Absolutely fantastic service. Delivery guys polite and professional

Would be zero starts if possible

Would be zero starts if possible. Paid £1000 for a leather corner sofa. Was happy enough with it until the "leather" started peeling off. Turns out it wasn't leather at all but cheap leather effect.

Although the sofa was bought a few years ago the plastic leather started to peel off within a year but I could not find the original emails from purchase..... I have however now found them and it was indeed described as "leather match" which means the main parts of the sofa should have been leather but the entire sofa was actually polyurethane. How is this company still in business. I will be seeking legal advice under the trade descriptions act.

Firstly sent an inferior plastic setee absolutely no leather on it although I was assured it was real leather.

Secondly another setee delivered, colour not as shown. Apparently colours online are tweaked!!! So you are advised not to go by them?

I then noticed pleats on setee do not match. They haven't been sewn identically
Upon contacting Suite World they sent an upholster to look at the setee. His opinion is that it isn't too defective!! Only cost £1200.

Upon phoning suite world they advised for an independent upholster paid by me.

Approach with caution!!;

I am fully aware of the covid crisis, my son has just tested positive .Your arrogance does not lend itself to good customer relations,and I do not intend to waste anymore of my precious time on you.

What a nightmare ,paid £1400 for a two seater sofa in September 2020 was promised delivery December before Christmas.Did not receive any contact so phoned end of Nov to be told I wouldn't get it until January or February 2021.Was refused a refund.I received a phone call 14 Jan to say it would be delivered 19 Jan.Delivered by two men who were not wearing masks and left dirt of their shoes on the carpet.Disgusted by the unprofessional behaviour of this compay.I would never recommend them to even my worst enemy!!!!!!!!and I hate the sofa.

Thanks for review Sorry to hear you're not happy with our service. As a family Business of 20 years we take pride in offering the best service we can in all circumstances. When you purchase your made to order Sherborne sofa in the shop in September, the date we quoted for December delivery was correct. Unfortunately we could not predict that Sherborne the Manufacture would have to send all of their transport department home for 2 weeks under track and trace Covid rules which had a knock of affect of some delivery's not making it before Christmas.

When you called I did make you fully aware of the Current pandemic and your sofa would be delayed until the middle of January and that we must follow the government rules. Our usual driver at the time of your delivery was also not available to do your delivery as his mother had died and needed time of. I organised a courier to deliver your sofa the very next day that I received it. They were given everything from masks, gel, and slip on shoe covers. I have made them aware that they must have a mask on for every delivery they do for me . I'm happy to say our usual drivers are not back at work and proving an excellent service to all our customers that appreciate the effort we put in during the worldwide pandemic. The sofa we delivered was exactly the same as the one you sat on in the shop. I'm surprised that you hate it as its of excellent quality and a top UK brand.

Pleasantly Surprised

Was looking for a Lazy Boy sofa as decided we wanted one a long time ago looked online and decided to pop into the store to take a look and what a surprise appearances are definitely deceiving couldn’t believe the range of seating offered in store service was excellent decided on the sofa paid delivered and set up in the home very easy and pleasant experience and will be returning when we need the rest of suite replacing a must visit if your looking for new seating and a good deal

I had recently purchased the Adam…

I had recently purchased the Adam leather sofa from Suite world and I must say myself and my husband are absolutely in love with the sofas. All through the process, Mr Gary was professional over the telephone and has a good customer relationship. On arrival of our sofas last Monday, we absolutely love it, just as pictured on their website. The drivers were friendly and assisted to deliver in our room of choice. Yes! I will recommend this company

Having had a dreadful experience with…

Having had a dreadful experience with AHF we decided to buy from an established family business.
Good selection of sofas and armchairs to choose from.
We chose a 3 and 2 seater sofa. Advised they were in their warehouse and could be delivered the following week. Gary also said he would try to get them ASAP.
We placed our order on the Monday, sofas delivered 4 days later. Phone call prior to give time of arrival.
Extremely happy with everything.
