Extraordinary Customer Service

Purchased a Summit SWC 182Z Solid wine cooler for under-counter after a major kitchen remodel.

Unfortunately, the compressor died after only 2 years. I contacted Summit (reached them immediately) and one of their recommended service companies came out next day and confirmed the situation. They submitted the warranty claim and the next day, Summit agreed to replace it. But, when they said "replace it", they meant the entire cooler! Even though it was two years old. A week later I had a brand new unit on my doorstep.

I have not experienced better customer service. Ever. Quick response. Excellent communication keeping me in the loop on every step. And delivered a new unit faster than estimated.

Things fail before they should all of the time and the consumer is left out in the cold as so many brands do not truly stand behind their products.

Not Summit. They do things the right way and back their products - even going above and beyond as they did in my case. This is how you get a customer for life.

What a disaster

What a disaster! Exterior of box looked fine so somewhere in the process someone thought it was ok to package and deliver this damaged garbage. There is zero "white glove" delivery, they canceled first delivery last minute and show up whenever they want to! I paid my contractor twice to receive delivery (see photo). They do not unpack etc. for you. We sent it back with driver immediately. AJ Madison and Summit appliances is holding my money hostage and will not give me an answer. We still don't know if they will credit this item, replace, or do I need to order something from somewhere else. They said they are waiting on Summit for direction, and I have had to call and email AJ Madison constantly to get that little bit of response. As of today, I have been out nearly $5,000.00 for over two months, plus contractor expenses. This has held up our entire project, and I just need an answer ASAP!! Every day you delay it is costing us that much more money and they just do not care! So no, I do not recommend you purchase here, save yourself a whole lot of headache, time and money and go another route!

I am ten years into my second Summit…

I am ten years into my second Summit 24" wide 2 door refrigerator. Overall I have been pleased with the product. One of the door seals is just starting to warp, and on humid days, water is collecting in the refrigerator compartment (yes I tried cleaning the drain hole). Still it remains quiet and efficient and the digital controls work as intended. I anticipate keeping the unit a few more years.

I bought this refrigerator twice: Water issues

Nice size for limited space.

However, I encountered the same issue of water leaking in the main cabin and spilling down the back and onto the floor. I have a small pan to collect the water and have to remember to dump it or else is will overflow. I have dish towels to stop the water from flooding the bottom under the veggie/fruit pan.

I had the previous fridge serviced. Waste of time. Problem returned.

As a result of both purchases, I am now in the process of measuring to extend the wall width so I can get out the size-trap. I will not buy another fridge from this company, after speaking with customer service response below:

..."this issue could be stemming from a overfilled drain pan on the back who's job is to collect condensation during defrost. Check your drain pan."

Based on the customer rep's email response, the company is aware of the defect.

I gave this model two stars for performance because the size is (was) perfect and it does keep food cold and frozen.

Wall oven repair

Wall oven repair. My oven had been down for about 3 weeks, the building tried to fix it to no avail. Summit was called and sent Darnell who fixed it after 3 hours. I recommend them very highly.

I purchased a Summit Wine Cooler in…November of 2021 at Goedeker's.

I purchased a Summit Wine Cooler in November of 2021 for a condo that I was renovating. The product is horrible. I have had wine coolers before, so this is not about user error or inexperience. Normal wine bottles do not fit, they are so compressed that I have had to remove four shelves in order to even use the product. I have tried everything, putting bottles in different ways, using less bottles, all to no avail. The shelves are built-in so there is no way to move them. I contacted the company and even sent them 4 videos showing how difficult it was to use. I also showed them that they claimed you could put 40 Bordeaux size bottles, which is physically impossible. I can't even put 8. They sent me back a snippy email saying that "standard bottles fit fine". A standard bottle is 750ml and that's all I have tried to use. They have a lot of claims of having quality and luxury wine coolers, but I have had quality wine coolers before and this one has cheap frail shelves and is badly designed. Avoid this company.

The customer service I received from

The customer service I received from
D'Artagnan Parra, Wanda Gonzalez, and Amy, was top notch! The company and employees stand by their product and provided patient, thorough assistance, and timely communication.
I needed to replace a part from an under-counter refrigerator that was no longer available and was fairly able to replace the entire unit. Everyone was helpful from the first phone call and emails. Summit is a great company. Thank you all.

Do not stand buy products

We bought an outdoor commercial kegerator for our new outdoor kitchen, and it has not been able to cool under 45 degrees (our cheap $400 indoor cools to 30 degrees but our $1600 commercial fridge has not been able to chill) We have called summit, they reply that it's within the acceptable temperature range (apparently they dont like COLD beer)...It's been 1 year that we have been shuffled back and forth from Summit to the actual Seller: Appliance Connection. Now that its been a year, the seller says it is Summit's warranty that kicks in, even though this has been going on since day 1. Both of these companies rely on the shuffling blame back and forth with neither doing anything. We asked Appliance Connection to replace unit since day 1. They sent out a repairman once that fixed a thermostat and tubing, and absolutely agreed that it should be cooler. Appliance Connection asked that we get a certified review by a Specialist to say it was not cooling properly. We called several people/plumbers/repairman, but they have no idea what the company wants from them, and they want $200 to come out and give us a written opinion, which they were unwilling to pay for. DO NOT BUY A KEGERATOR FROM EITHER OF THESE COMPANIES!!!!!!
