Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 87 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently mention charges appearing on their bank statements for recurring subscriptions they did not recall authorizing or agreeing to during online loan searches. Many consumers note that cancellation attempts are extremely difficult, as emails are routinely ignored and websites fail to provide functional login credentials or working cancellation tools. Individuals express concerns about terms that lead to automatic enrollment into monthly fees without clear prior notification. Some reviewers were happy with receiving prompt assistance, refunds, or confirmation of successful cancellations when they finally managed to speak directly with customer service representatives.

Boycott

Was looking through loans just to help survive the week. Nothing about their low quality credit checks or whatever.

Created account with Sure Credit. I did NOT touch or use any of their services at all, in any way.

They take your money at the monthly fee of £19.99. I cancelled just slightly too late (just after 14 days), and tried to call and negotiate a refund which they refused.

They do not even send a notice "you have an upcoming payment of £19.99, please ensure you have the funds available". Actually backs up their case because what if you didn't have the funds and they don't receive them?? You would be able to cancel within the 14 days, we all have a 100 other things to remember and get on with.

Just don't touch any of these dangerous and disgusting scams. They take money for no work. Let their greed turn to liquidation.

And obviously their replies on here are all automated, their 3*, 4*, 5* ratings are obviously bots or people working for them.

I didn't knowingly 'sign up' for this…

I didn't knowingly 'sign up' for this service and my bank have stopped their payments and refunded me the one they took, they have cancelled my debit card and issued me a new one to avoid them doing this again - there was no email to tell me I had signed up for this 'service', no log in details, no Terms and Conditions, no thank you for paying.. by the way if you look at the positive reviews on here, they are all by reviewers who have only ever given one review on Trustpilot, I wonder why that is? lol - reported to Trading Standards and the Advertising Standards Authority

If you were charged £19.99, it indicates you signed up for a 14-day free trial on our website and provided your payment details. During the sign-up, our service and terms, including the monthly fee after the trial period, were clearly outlined and accepted by you.

They take money even if the subscription is cancelled. Stay away!

Took money 2 months after I cancelled my subscription within the 14 day free trial period. It's been reported as fraud to my bank. To take a payment 2 months after I've cancelled within the 14 day period set out by your company is just low. I wonder how many people have had this done to them and not noticed.

Yet again these scammers have taken another £19.99 out of my account without any authorisation. I've had to cancel my card. And change accounts. It's worrying that a scam company like this can access accounts without proper authorisation. I'm now taking legal action and strongly recommend anyone who has had similar experiences with these thieves to do the same

Underhanded and sly.

Signed me up for a £19.99 monthly subscription, after I had been declined a loan. I entered my details on the loan application, and was then redirected to surecredit. They took the details and signed me up. Very underhanded, and obviously claimed it was very clear what I was signing up for, it certainly wasn't.!

Hi Joe, we're sorry to read your review.

This charge indicates you signed up for a 14-day free trial and provided your payment details. Everything was very clear within the sign-up process, and you confirmed acceptance of our terms and conditions, including the monthly fee of £19.99 after the trial period. You then received an email outlining the terms of the trial and when the next payment would be authorised, this email also contains a link to our cancellation section on the website.

You can cancel your membership at any time during the trial without any fees. For further assistance or cancellation, please call 0330 335 8509 or email hello@surecredit.co.uk and our agents will be more than happy to help.
